After extensive research on dog trainers and companies, we decided to go with Dog Karma and we are so extremely happy we did!! From the beginning, the communication and customer service was excellent. Corrina Babiash-Clark is the training instructor we were set up with and let me just tell you, she is amazing to say the least! Any anxieties that I had with our dog being in someone else's care were quickly put at ease with Corrina and Dog Karma. It is Incredibly obvious that they have a great love for dogs and what they do. Corrina deserves more than just 5 stars, she is just that good! Her training methods are very effective all while showing our (large)10 month old pup love and gentleness. We couldn't have asked for a better trainer! We selected the board and train at Corrina's home. We were given the option to have Corrina pick up our dog at our house (which was really nice of her since it's easily a 50 minute drive) or take him to her. We took him to her and drop-off went very smoothly. We received daily updates and videos of him and his progress. She even gave him treats of her own that he really liked and introduced him to new toys that keep him thinking and content. At the end of his training she brought him home to us and when she walked him in the gate, I was in awe at how well behaved and trained he was, it was like a miracle! I stared in amazement as he listened and obeyed her every command. Corrina has since kept in touch and followed up with his progre I cannot express enough, how happy we are with Corrina and her expertise training and how well she cared for our dog! We are forever grateful. Thank you Corrina from the bottom of our hearts! And Zeus says thank you too!

After searching & reading about different training programs for dogs I came across Karma Dog Training. Once I read about their process I knew I had to inquire. Shortly after I received a call from Corrina. She explained more about the program & made sure she would be able to help with what I was looking for. She came to our house for a training appointment. She has great tips & techniques & showed us right then & there that our big "puppy" (she still thinks she's a puppy) can be a good dog. We also had our dog Raven stay w/ her while we were out of town for a few days. Not only did Corrina send me pictures & updates she made sure Raven was as comfortable (& spoiled!) as possible. We highly recommend Karma Dog Training & have already referred this program to friends that are looking to adopt a puppy!

Natti learned to play on all 4 paws meaning she doesn't jump up onto people when she is excited. She's a calm baby!

My 4 month old pup Natti spent 3 weeks boarding and training with Karma and Corrina Babiash. Corrina was extremely helpful with taking her in at such short notice and even offered to pick her up for the boarding, drop her off after the boarding, and take her to her vet appointment to get her puppy shots during her 3 week boarding. She treated my pup like one of her own and I know my pup loves her! She provides progress videos, day to day pictures, and even sent step by step tutorial videos featuring our pup. These videos show what your pup is capable of and goes to show that their training works! Highly recommend this company and Corrina specifically if you want your pup truly taken care of and properly trained!

This pup would scream at every leash and any tug. After one week with Corrina, he brings me his leash to take him walking & with no issues!

During this COVID-19 stay at home/quarantine, I decided to get an 8 week old Maltipoo while I had the opportunity to work from home. My pup showed early signs of intelligence but also some alarming habits, such as extreme screaming/crying and choking himself on a leash being attached to his harness. His screams would reverberate around the whole neighborhood and traumatize me and him. I am talking wild banshee screams! For a while I gave up and we just did walks with his harness on and no leash but I knew that was not sustainable. I was desperate for help so I called Jeff w/ Karma Dogs and initially we decided on Zoom dog training but then I contacted him again desperate about the leash training and he linked me up with trainer Corrina Babiash-Clark. When the pup was 10 weeks, we decided to do 5 days of full board and train and Corrina was nice enough to drive all the way to Fullerton to pick up my pup! During the stay, she sent these advice/show videos demonstrating what se was teaching him and how exactly she was doing it so I could review them later to keep implementing the training. To be frank, my ONLY objective was for him to be leash trained but he came back knowing SO many tricks: rollover, sit, paw, touch, go to your bed, and more. He also was tamer and seemed so happy! I was so impressed with the videos that halfway into it, I actually extended his stay to 7 days and the pup ran out of his food so Corrina supplemented with her own food! Corrina has a couple other dogs that helped socialize Basil and she made sure a variety of people were touching him and playing with him. Socialization right now during quarantine is very difficult so I am so happy I was able to get him socialized right off the bat with Corrina during the critical stage of development. Most importantly, we have ZERO leash issues. I am pretty sure Corrina is a miracle worker and the investment was worth its weight in gold. Now my pup comes to me if I am late to walk him (3 times a day!) with his leash and says "let's go mom!" I highly recommend Karma Dogs and Corrina, they have a positive philosophy when it comes to dog training and they're very clear about how they train and what their method is. I will definitely use Corrina again for refresher training and anytime I go out of town for normal boarding. I trust her!

I have a four month old English Bulldog named Gumbo. He's a bit stubborn, but Corrina was amazing! I feel like I have a new puppy. She kept me updated and sent lots of pictures and videos. She was very flexible and was able to work out a schedule that allowed me to pick him up during the weekend to practice myself. (It also kept me from missing Gumbo so much). He's now more calm and very well behaved. Our training with Corrina is complete, but she still sends texts and emails to check on him and still offers tips and advice. Im very grateful.

Bark Busters came to us highly recommended. After some research and reviewing Ted Talk and…read morearticles, I signed up our two rescue mix breed ~20lb boys. We are grateful to James of BB who placed us with Jenna. Our boys issues: high reactivity outside, especially other dogs, and inside, door bell, ring cameras, etc. Coupled with greetings by jumping and owning the house. Jenna set us on a path of activities for inside and was incredibly patient letting me share and ask questions, learning constantly. As we fine-tuned and we all got more comfortable we moved our training to outside. The methodology used is absolutely amazing and, I dare say, short of a miracle. We practice regularly and introduce the boys to different circumstances. All that food luring and positive food reinforcement training certainly has its place but only the techniques of BB with Jenna has helped our boys become trusting, comfortable, and happy. Here I thought I had to scan the horizon constantly to be aware of incoming dogs to prepare myself to hide behind a car or go in the corner behind garbage cans to get maximum distance. Not true. I walk no longer with my head on a lazy susan. We all are forever grateful. Our boys can lead richer more social lives. Thank you!!!

As first-time dog owners, the early support really did help us. Having someone we could call during those overwhelming first months was a relief. Over time, though, I realized I was hoping the training would shift toward more positive reinforcement. The constant, harsher corrections worked at first but eventually didn't seem effective anymore and started affecting my relationship with Mimi. I noticed this during a family trip where Mimi, who is usually fearful of strangers, bonded more easily with my husband and his family. She gravitated toward them when scared, and I realized it might be because they weren't following the correction-heavy approach, while I was. I also asked for help with Mimi's fear and reactivity toward other dogs, but was told they didn't have dogs available for training and that I would need to bring a calm, socialized dog myself. As a non-trainer, that was very hard, but we tried by traveling many hours to introduce her to my husband's family dog. The experience ended up being chaotic since the family didn't fully understand what the process required, and new people and dogs kept appearing even though Mimi wasn't ready. Her reactivity came back in that environment, which made me feel like the training had only put a bandaid on deeper fear issues. Maybe I should have clarified expectations better from the start, but with a high-need dog and being new to all of this, I didn't know what to expect. Since then, we've switched to a positive reinforcement trainer who organizes structured group activities. Mimi is still scared of bigger dogs and can still be reactive, but she's improving slowly and has been able to meet a few smaller dogs. She's also still fearful of people, but she nips a lot less now, so progress is happening. Overall, Bark Busters helped us in the beginning, but long-term we found that a different, more positive approach has been a better fit for Mimi.

From the very beginning, Misty was incredible. She carved out time weeks before the wedding for us to meet each other and talk about our dog's (Louie) temperament, our expectations, and the full game plan for the big day. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was prepared and genuinely cared about making everything go smoothly. On the wedding day, she was amazing. She arrived early to the Airbnb and was able to get used to walking and handling Louie. She walked Louie down the aisle, handled him and helped him greet guests during the ceremony and cocktail hour, and kept everything completely stress-free for us. She kept us updated via text throughout the day, and when it was time to drop him back off at our Airbnb in the evening, she sent photos and updates so we knew he was settled and happy. She even left us the sweetest wedding gift, which was such a thoughtful touch. Misty was kind, professional, organized, and clearly loves what she does. We are SO grateful for her and would absolutely book Dogs on the Run again. Highly, highly recommend!

I found Megan when we had Flexo at the time. I looked everywhere for a specific type of walker. Our boy was a rescue with a rough background. He was reactive to dogs while on leash and took time to trust strangers. I definitely wanted a dog savvy walker! One who has a background in training and tough pups like ours. Since day one, I remember coming back from work and noticing our boy feeling a little more relaxed. Not as pent up or stressed. I quickly realized how much he needed this! Whatever his situation was before, I wanted to give him a better one, an upgrade. Megan helped me with that. She was very professional, confident, and worked with our boy during her walks. He eventually loosened up to her and her little girls and it was so great to hear how much he improved over time. Flexo has since passed, but we adopted another rescue, Brody. We had him at 7 months old and, although was the complete opposite of Flexo, his puppy stage proved to be quite the whirlwind, to say the least! While we did our part in training, Megan did her part with socializing and walking. He was a little ball of energy, but now at 3 yrs old, has since calmed down and is the best boy. He loves Megan and her pack (both humans and dogs)! She also does boarding and daycare. Another plus, she is very flexible! There are often times I've had to cancel last minute because I worked from home during the pandemic, and it was no issue. She also updates by leaving a message in a little notepad she provided. There are so many positives, I can't say enough how much we love having Megan as our walker. I only hope, if there comes a time when we have to move away, we can find someone just like her. She's definitely set the standard for who I want in a professional walker!

I didn't want to leave him somewhere he would end up in a cage all night and most of the day. Fortunately, I found the Balanced Pack. Wilson stayed with Marla and her family during the 6 days I was gone. As any dog owner knows, a lot of stress accompanies leaving a dog with someone else for an extended period of time - even with friends. That was not the case with the Balanced Pack. I received regular updates and daily photos of a very happy Wilson. Further, it was so nice knowing that Wilson was with people who cared about him and had plenty of playtime with his canine buddies. The only concern was that I'd have to drag him back home ;-) Since then, I have used the Balanced Pack for day boarding on a regular basis. Megan picks him up every morning on time and then drops him off around 5:30pm and feeds him dinner. He is so excited when I tell him in the morning that Megan & Marla are coming. And it is amazing to come home from work and find your dog both exercised and fed. And I do mean it - Wilson has tons of energy and on days when Megan has him, he is worn out when I get home! That says something. The bottom line is that Megan and Marla are awesome. They will treat your dogs with love and care. And you will notice an extra gleam in your pet's eyes after a fun day with the Balanced Pack.

She was healthy, fully vaccinated, and entered the program for leash control and mild resource guarding--especially important since I have a young nephew and a senior Great Dane at home. I asked multiple times to see her living space but was told no, as it would "disrupt other dogs"--something I now deeply regret accepting. Midway through training, my Great Dane was diagnosed with bone cancer. I called to stress the importance of Athena's continued progress. A trainer suggested extending her program, which I considered, but ultimately declined. I wanted her home while my Dane was still strong. On June 11, days before her return, I dropped off food and was told training had slowed because the trainer "assumed" I was extending--something I never confirmed. Then on June 15, I received a text saying she had mild nasal discharge and would see a vet. By 4:00 PM, I was called by that vet: Athena had a 106°F fever and was in critical conditionwith suspected pneumonia. I found her barely breathing, still wearing a prong collar, and rushed her to the ER. She required oxygen sewn into her nostrils, IV fluids, and overnight emergency care totaling $7,500. Vets confirmed pneumonia typically incubates over 2-14 days, meaning she was likely sick long before staff noticed. I was later told there had been an increase in kennel cough cases at the facility--yet I was never informed. No one at Specialty Dog Training has taken responsibility--financially or emotionally. I was left with: * A dog who nearly died * A traumatized animal with worsened behavioral issues * Thousands in emergency bills * A sick dog I had to isolate from my terminally ill Great Dane * And zero visible results from the training I paid for This experience was devastating, both emotionally and financially. Specialty Dog Training failed my dog, failed my trust, and offered no support or resolution in return. I strongly caution others to think twice before enrolling a pet in their care.
