By practicing the exercises she gave us, he now comfortably is able to chew bones and eat his food around us and other dogs without lunging or barking which is a huge relief as he will be a large dog when he is fully grown. Additionally, she helped me start to shift my relationship with my puppy which resulted in more respect and obedience from him in general. We could only do a few sessions together before moving out of state, but it is easy to see that she understands dogs and they truly respond to her guidance. Terrible communication & difficult person…read more I've had difficulty communicating with this dog walker, especially via text. At one point, she told me her calendar wasn't available, which was frustrating since most of us rely on our phone calendars. While she was texting me that she couldn't check it, it felt off-putting and unprofessional. It's for the safety of Dogs that she can't check her calendar. How is she able to text? I just can't figure out this part. She also told me she would call at 3 PM to confirm availability for a walk three days later but never followed up. When I reached out a few days later, she informed me she was taking a self-care day instead. While I understand the importance of self-care, the lack of communication was disappointing. Additionally, she mentioned she was extremely busy and couldn't do any walks in the morning, with the earliest availability at 2:45 PM. If you're looking for someone with more flexibility or reliability, she may not be the best fit. Then she told me she had the wrong month and actually couldn't fit me in at all so that was a nice kind of blow off. This was really quite an experience. Good luck. lol. (It's always a red flag. When someone only has five stars. I should've listened to my gut.)

I would like to share our amazing Karma Dog Training experience with our recent adoption of an…read more8-year-old male dog who was just so stubborn and domineering that we need some sort of "doggie etiquette" training in order to keep him. "Kenji," a Chihuahua mix that recently joined our family, showed many behavioral signs of prior abuse. I was beginning to wonder if training him would even be possible. Our Karma Dog experience began with several emails with Jeffrey Brian Liebowitz, the Owner and Founder of Karma Dog Training. Jeffrey immediately helped us to find the closest Karma Dog training location to our home. We were fortunate to have Khalani as our Karma Dog Trainer. Kenji responded extremely well under Khalani's tutelage. Khalani always listened to my concerns regarding Kenji's odd responses during our practice sessions. Her recommendations of how to overcome Kenji's objections and how to easily "counter" his dominance attempts and defiant attitude really worked! But, it was the unending source of encouragement and emotional support, which Khalani gave me, that really made the difference. Khalani never let me "give up" with Kenji's training "stalls." She always helped me feel optimistic and provided me with clever "tricks" to try during the week between our classes. I don't think Kenji and I would have made it through the entire course to receive Kenji's very first Certificate of Completion if it hadn't been for Khalani! I'm sure we would have dropped out after the first few classes as we had a 2 1/2 hour "round trip" commute for Khalani's "one-hour" Karma Dog class each week. I must commend Khalani for her unending enthusiasm, unrelenting encouragement and her deep dedication to her work with Kenji and me. I certainly appreciate everything Khalani has done to help Kenji and me create the happy, healthy and growing bond of love and "respect" that did not exist between us BEFORE we trained with Khalani. Without reservation, I highly recommend Jeffrey Brian Liebowitz's Karma Dog Training, and especially Khalani! It almost made me cry to see little Kenji so happy as drove into the parking lot for our last class because Kenji actually started whimpering with joy when he realized we were on our way to Karma Dog class! This was the first time I ever heard him "yap with sheer delight." What a transformation! I think Kenji's response is about the "highest" compliment a dog can give to a trainer.
