It was better when it was named koala kolache. Haven't been here since they've changed ownership but I stopped by to grab a quick bite. New owners didn't talk much and just went about their business. I got a few sausage and cheese kolaches which were pretty disappointing because of the thick and heavy breading. The ratio was way off and not like how the previous kolaches this place use to make. It seems like they kept the same layout and varieties but some items were a hit or miss. I just want to say I'm so glad I found this place. It is kinda hidden. When I first walked in it was a different sensory. I thought when I was going to leave I was walking out with a typical kolache... oh no!!! The most incredible kolache ever! So I've become a regular. My 4 year old loves the sausage and cheese kolache . I feel like I hold up the line anymore because I want to try something different every time I go in. When I cash out I do put my phone number so I get rewards such as like a free donut and/or kolache. Which is amazing because it helps out from all the decisions . Keep it up Karma! Was Koala Kolache, new name for some reason? Awesome kolaches and donuts. Good variety, only problem is they seem to run out of the best kinds. So far faves are buffalo chicken, brisket, and normal sausage and cheese kolaches. The owners are very personable and seem to remember a lot of customers. Watch out for younger staff though, I've had errors a number of times that are corrected before I leave, just check your order. read more

I know this ia gping to get me hung as this place has a cult dollowing and is extremely popular. I feel really bad for the 3 star rating but let me explain why. There wasn't a single kolache in the place. Not a single one. No strawberry, peach, blueberry, cream cheese not a single one. What they do have was klobasnek. Many different varieties of it. I was extremely disappointed that a place with kolache in the name didn't have any....but I went ahead and bought a few. I gave them 1 star for really outstanding customer service. The young man at the counter waa very nice and helpful explaining the varieties of klobasnek and apologetic for not having anything fruit filled. The second star was for ambiance. It was trendy and clean with a small eating area The third was the kloasnek was delishious. I bought the brisket, boudin, and smoked sausage. All 3 were exceptionally good. They had a huge variety available mac and cheese, jalapeno popper, buffalo chicken and many others. If this were called the Karma Kloasnek this would be a 5 star review. Randomly found this place when I was on the hunt for a kolache. Super happy I found it! Interior of the place is really cute- and the kolache(S) are delicious. I had the spice jalapeño sausage and spicy boudin, both were actually pretty spicy and the bread was super flaky, soft, and really yummy. Will definitely be back! read more

This was our first visit to Karma Kolache, we had a brisket, sausage & cheese, spicy sausage & cheese, old fashioned donut, chocolate covered old fashioned and a dozen donut holes... it was great! My kids tried a bite of everything and said they all tasted great!! It was so good I had to go back and get another brisket! We will be back for sure! We had ordered letter shaped donuts from the north Eldridge location and they came out so great! But we recently place another order from this location on 529 and had a terrible experience. The order process was even annoying because they didn't have basic colors like yellow. We indicated what letters we wanted, Happy birthday Linda, when we would be picking them up, and the time. We show up today about 5 minutes after scheduled pick up and they weren't ready...no problem. But I think because of that, they hurried and didn't smooth out the frosting, making it look like just globs of it on the donuts. Then, they didn't even do the donuts for Linda, just happy birthday. When it was brought up, the man basically chewed my head off saying that wasn't on the initial order. After such a pleasant experience at their other location, I was hoping to have the same one here but it was the complete opposite. One of the first Kolache stores I've visited since moving down to Houston and most likely the only one I will ever go to from here on out. The kolaches were beyond yummy (we got the ham and cheese, sausage egg and cheese, and the traditional sausage and cheese). The donuts had a perfect texture and flavor (original glaze and blueberry cake). 10/10 would highly recommend. The service was friendly and inviting as well. So disappointed. I have been going to Karma Kolache for years. I stop every few weeks to treat myself on the way to work. I LOVE Karma Kolache. Food is delicious, great selection, never had a bad meal. BUT, I am so disappointed that their employees are not following COVID protocols to keep themselves, their coworkers and their customers safe. Twice now I have stopped in and the person working the front is wearing a mask, but the employee is the back making food is not. I have grown to enjoy this little donut place that is very near my home! I see so many donut shops in the area but all are not quite good enough for my taste buds. Donuts should always be fresh! One of the best donut places outside of the norm " Shipley's". Their "kronuts" literally melt in your mouth. The kronuts are buttery and flaky,my absolute favorite.
