I'm a registered Hatha yoga instructor and absolutely love practicing at this special studio! This hidden gem is located up some stairs on the South Pearl street. It's a cozy non-assuming space that owner/instructors, Katrina and Michael have created- brimming with positive energy. Funky artistic touches abound and change with the seasons or spiritual whims of the owners. It's drawn a number of clients into its fold and kept them for many years, yet I just discovered it a couple of years ago. The instructors and teaching styles are unique and diverse and all classes are full of regulars as well as new students. All the instructors I have had are terrific. There are workshop offerings, astrology, sound healing, energy work and more. You can easily land anywhere at Karma. read more

I'm a Martial Arts/ Tai Chi Chuan instructor for 30 yrs and have taught in 5 states plus Australia over the years. This yoga studio has no spirit or chi. Physically, the facility is small & full of Hindu clutter. The owner taught the class I took and she was was rude. There are only 10 students b/c of covid but neither the instructor/owner nor any of the students or staff wore masks. 0ver 10 ppl in a small area doing heavy breathing postures without masks. No social distancing between students. The Instructor, seeing I was a brand new student, never once welcomed me or acknowledged my existence. She did not offer any words of encouragement, no help with some complicated asanas. She spoke fast and, since everyone else there was a regular student, they all followed her instructions easily. I was ignored by the instructor; she never once said a word to me or looked me in the eye - even in the lobby, on the way outside when she walked right past me. A few perfunctory mantras are thrown in to give a veneer of authenticity. There's also zero transportation within half a mile to a mile in an isolated residential location. I will look for another yoga studio. Karma Yoga can't be the normal in Denver. read more

Amazing studio that offers so much more than yoga classes. I love the Saturday class at 10:30am. It's inspirational and calming. I go to the class and my children go to the kid's class that takes place at the same time. It's the perfect environment for young children to be introduced to yoga while their parents practice with other adults in the next room. read more

On Denver's South Pearl Street there's an unassuming building up a short flight of stairs, called Karma Yoga Studio. There, owner/instructors Katrina Gustafson and Michael Shankara have created a beautiful heart-centered place, brimming with love, consciousness and positive energies. I'm a registered Hatha yoga instructor/practitioner and absolutely love attending all the classes classes offered there. The word "studio" tends to miss what this sacred space encompasses: the very best kind of "Karma." Artistic touches are scattered about reflecting soulful connections to art, seasons, minerals, cosmic astronomical cycles, and global wisdoms. The love and depth of their own spiritually-connected lives embrace many practices (beginner to advanced, yoga, meditation, tea ceremonies, breath work, Qi Gong, astrology, etc). Some practitioners have been there since Karma's inception many years ago, and newcomers are always welcome. The instructors and teaching styles are diverse and connected to many different yogic lineages. I have not practiced with all the Karma teachers, yet all of them share truly unique styles. Here are a few words about my experiences with each of the teachers I have practiced with on a regular basis. Katrina Gustafson - Studio Owner - Loving creative heart and spirit and beautiful language that opens to all. Beth Sanchez - Ayurvedic, yogic and physiologic knowledge Ann Bortz - Mindful, psychological and meditative dance-asana Asiana Harper and Michael F - Deep earthly connections with musical magic Peret Martellini - Supportive and restorative asana and meditation. Michael Shankara is also a gifted astrologist and Qi Gong master. I have yet to practice with him regularly. Although I am a certified Yoga teacher (since 2002), and have practiced with many teachers in many places, my life schedule doesn't allow for instructing or all the treasures Karma offers: workshops, retreats, tea ceremonies, etc. etc etc. The Karma community provides so much for so many, I look forward to a time when I can experience all that it has to offer. Excellent - cool atmosphere, teaching was all levels and easy to follow and easy inspiring.

Hands down, this is the best yoga studio in Denver! I've been going here for three and a half years now, and even though I have moved away from the neighborhood, I still make it a point to attend Lisa's Monday and Tuesday night classes almost every week. The teachers here are salt of the Earth, knowledgeable, and challenge you to be your best self through your practice. I would recommend this studio to anyone, from beginner to advanced! read more

Karma Yoga moved from S Franklin to South Pearl Street. It is now located on the upper level of the building it occupies. It's an absolutely beautiful space upstairs, with 2 rooms. One of my favorite yoga teachers ever taught a MindFree Friday restorative yoga class last week and I loved the room. I could see practicing vinyasa in the main room. It is so peaceful and calming. There are two changing rooms, as well as two shelves to hold bags/purses and shoes. There is yoga apparel for sale and an all-around calming vibe. Go and check it out. read more

I just moved to town and was looking for a new yoga studio. Karma was recommended to me by one of my friends. The moment I walked in, I felt right at home. Karma is an intimate, beautiful yoga studio with two separate rooms, a meditation room, a "store" and a waiting area with comfortable chairs and candles. All of the instructors are passionate and have their own style. My favorite is the live bhakti flow where a drummer drums along in person throughout the class. There is something for everyone here. Karma Yoga is the best yoga center in Colorado. I am truly grateful to the owner Katrina for creating such an authentic sacred space. The studio is beautiful and ethereal, and it's true that love grows here! All of the instructors are masterful and full of grace. I recently moved back home to Denver from living in Los Angeles for twelve years, a place where yoga studios are as abundant and liquor stores. I was curious to see what kind of studios are here, I decided to try a few out and to my wonderful surprise I found this gem. Karma Yoga is by far my favorite piece of zen away from home. I am even hesitant about writing this review because my pride wants me to keep this amazing space all to myself. Everyone from the staff to the teachers are absolutely fabulous! There is an energy when you walk into the space that is so inviting, warm, and loving. There are three places I love doing yoga, my home, Burning Man, and now Karma Yoga. read more

I love Karma! I moved from SF to Littleton and make the 6 mile trek to get my yoga on at least a few times a week. They offer more than yoga so I encourage you to check out their schedule.
