Their icecream is so good! This place has several pros and a few cons. Pros: they serve high quality products. The add ins are bountiful. There are so many flavor choices that there is guaranteed to be something for everyone. Cons: the menu is slightly confusing. No sundaes (I don't believe?) and how to order and how many mix ins are not very clear unless you ask the question. They need a "how to" board for placing an order or a better description of what things are. Mix ins are charged by item after the first one (although not marked as such). Service is spotty and orders are not filled in the order they are received. Half our party was done before the other half of the group of 6 was served. Seating is limited and dirty. Price is ok....a little on the high side. Overall, I would return but not sure if it would be often. Just glad to have this as an option in the neighborhood. read more

I finally made it! I've been trying a few times this year and they were closed. I tried looking online, but there were no verified hours or telephone number to call. I took a photo of the hours so they are clear. I tried the butterscotch sprinkler for my first time. I'm a huge ice cream lover and have had my fair share of ice cream. I honestly thought the soft serve was pretty bland and the same was true for the butterscotch drizzle. I thought maybe my allergies were to blame, but my partner tried it and agreed that it was very bland. I'm willing to try something different in the future to see if it was one off. My sister said she knew an ice cream place that had really good ice cream and drove me 30 minutes from where we live to have soft serve. There's absolutely nothing wrong with soft serve, they even had fun flavors like lemon but on a hot day it melts SO fast in the heat. The cone was leaking like crazy by time I got it to the car and I had to stand outside to eat it before creating a huge, sticky mess. The ice cream melting fast isn't the fault of the establishment but just a personal rant, sorry. I got a plain vanilla in a waffle cone. It was good but wasn't any more special than any one else's soft serve. My sister got one of the mixers (it's like the Blizzards at DQ). She seemed to enjoy it. Both of us ended up throwing a bit away due to the melting fast but we enjoyed what we could before it melted. They have some picnic tables to sit at which is nice. Seemed popular with a consistent line. Phenomenal! As many are aware, this previously was a DQ which has obtained a face lift with Paris inspired exterior seating (all white) making this a super easy stop. The service is great and the line moves quickly. Prices are extremely reasonable and I can taste the true flavor within plain vanilla soft serve as the shop uses higher quality ingredients allowing one to immediately taste the difference. I know this is a top ice cream shop when I have little desire to order anything but vanilla soft serve. The variety of options here is mind blowing from shave ice to cold brew to 50+ malt and shake variations to hot dogs and chili dogs along with pup cups for $2. A small serving is a generous amount and dogs are welcome on the patio. While you cannot go inside, there is nothing better than sitting outside on a lovely MN day and enjoying the weather. I'm all about it. It's a night and day difference between DQ. Sure it's basically like a Connie's Creamery without the greasy fare, the flavor choices are different and plentiful. The best part? The owner is helping out and he had 8 employees around him in their snappy white polos. Tonight's line was about 30 people deep at one point and it moves quickly. Noice! The DQ that used to be here is now an uncomplicated neighborhood ice cream stand. They've got soft serve in three flavors: vanilla, chocolate, and mango, and they can make shakes, malts or mixers out of those with quite an abundance of supplementary flavors and mix-ins. They also have a few flavors of floats and slushees, and flavored shaved ice. I came at around 8pm on a sunny summer Sunday and the line was predictably long, but moved quickly. Friendly staff, friendly crowd. They offer pup-cups for two bucks! My mixer was vanilla with brownie, and it wound up being exactly what I would have expected if I'd asked for "cookies and cream". I was really looking forward to this spot! I'd been craving a dip cone for days & unfortunately this is the worst one I've had. The dip was super uneven, and it dripped completely down the cone before the worker wrapped a napkin around it. The napkins around the cone were completely soaked in chocolate dip that essentially glued the napkin to the food on top of that, the soft serve was soo soft that the dip completely melted it, and the cone wasn't filled to the bottom Pros: super cute spot, nice large patio with lots of seating, the service was fast despite a long line. read more

Definitely didn't go on the right day for a cold treat but we weren't alone in this lol. Staff was friendly, there was ample parking since it's located in a strip mall. Their signs were a little overwhelming for my adhd eyes but I get it since it's an aesthetic. Their menu had a lot but at the same time it was a simple menu. Ordered a small shaved ice and boy was that thing huge. My sister got a mixed ice cream but it looked rather runny, more like a milk shake than a mixed ice cream so the shaved ice was the way to go. As you probably know, this used to be the first Dairy Queen in Minnesota, which closed about a year ago. It was re-opened as "Sprinkles" by the same person who re-opened the very, very excellent Maverick's Real Roast Beef (located in the same shopping center). My wife and I had to give it a try and we weren't disappointed. Fortunately, we didn't have to wait long for our order of a Root Beer Float and a small dish of chocolate soft serve. The Root Beer float hit the spot for my wife, and she commented that it was very well made. My portion of ice cream was very generous (for a "small) and the chocolate flavor was very good. Although there is no inside seating, there are many tables outside, which we enjoyed. We were particularly impressed with the friendliness of every employee. I am glad this landmark was saved and it seems to be very good quality too. read more

We genuinely love supporting local businesses over big chains, and we want places like Sprinkles to do well. We've noticed that Sprinkles has a terminal prompt for tips before any food has been prepared or served. For a counter-service or walk-up food establishment, asking for a gratuity prior to any service being rendered feels premature and puts customers in an awkward spot. A tip traditionally reflects the quality of service received, not something requested upfront for handing over a menu item. We'd love to see an alternative, like a small printed sign with a QR code linking to a tip jar or payment app, so customers who want to show appreciation after the fact can do so on their own terms, without the pressure of a screen prompt at checkout. We'd really like to keep supporting Sprinkles, and a change like this would make that easier for us and many others who don't believe that per-service tips for walk-up establishments are appropriate. This is our absolute favorite soft serve spot! Their ice cream is so creamy. We go there on the hottest of days which means it's hard to get a picture before things start to melt. The menu at this place is huge! We've tried several things. I definitely recommend the "mixer" over shakes and malts... it stays more frozen. Free water is available off to the side of the building. Even with a line, there usually isn't much of a wait. I've never had the same thing twice, but I think my favorite Mixer combination is chocolate, caramel, and cheesecake. read more

Happy to share that this DQ resurrection as a new brand called Sprinkles well worth trying out. A party of 3 ordered two malts and one mixer ice cream treat. All were satisfying.. though one malt was overly blended on a warm humid afternoon so melted to soup too quickly. The remodeled old DQ site has a great 50's vibe and nice tables to enjoy your order. Downside - a vehicle drove right in front of the ordering area & by the tables. The driver totally unaware that they were driving right through a busy family area. Suggest some barricades. read more

Unremarkable. I got a pineapple banana mixer, and had a slightly chemical aftertaste. I will give them props for using actual bananas. Considering how many people were working behind the counter I thought the service was slow. There are a couple of umbrella tables but considering the place is in a concrete jungle of a parking lot, they could use more. Nonetheless I always support a locally owned business over a chain any time. I have also say I preferred this to Connie's, which (don't hit me) I think is overrated. read more

Everything my family has had here has been great. The cookie dough mixer was a huge hit- much better cookie dough than DQ. I worked at the DQ in high school and when we were really busy, the ice cream would be too soft and then the cone coating wouldn't stick. I think people who had issues with dipped cones should give them another try. They've been very busy since they opened. read more

I went around 7 pm on a week night and even though they were busy. I didn't have to wait in line very long before placing my order. The staff was friendly and professional. My order was ready within 5 to 7 minutes; a very reasonable time given how busy they were. The ice cream sandwich was delicious! My daughter loved her twist cone. Ordered a "large" cherry dipped cone that was like a small-medium cone size from other places. it wasnt actually dipped but drizzled on so the cherry flavoring only partially covered the tiny cone. Cashier held it in her hand while giving away other orders for too long so was semi melted once I got it. I should've taken a picture as it was a laughable misshapen thing. Tasted fine. I'd like to give this place another shot and maybe try a slushie or shake as they don't understand what a soft serve is supposed to be in my opinion. read more
