    Waffle cone with sprinkles

I'm happy that another ice cream spot moved in the building to replace the old Dairy Queen

My sister said she knew an ice cream place that had really good ice cream and drove me 30 minutes from where we live to have soft serve. There's absolutely nothing wrong with soft serve, they even had fun flavors like lemon but on a hot day it melts SO fast in the heat. The cone was leaking like crazy by time I got it to the car and I had to stand outside to eat it before creating a huge, sticky mess. The ice cream melting fast isn't the fault of the establishment but just a personal rant, sorry. I got a plain vanilla in a waffle cone. It was good but wasn't any more special than any one else's soft serve. My sister got one of the mixers (it's like the Blizzards at DQ). She seemed to enjoy it. Both of us ended up throwing a bit away due to the melting fast but we enjoyed what we could before it melted. They have some picnic tables to sit at which is nice. Seemed popular with a consistent line. Me and my sister ordered at the same time but there were 3 orders made between hers and my plain cone which was interesting but otherwise seemed like a cool spot.

Phenomenal! As many are aware, this previously was a DQ which has obtained a face lift with Paris inspired exterior seating (all white) making this a super easy stop. The service is great and the line moves quickly. Prices are extremely reasonable and I can taste the true flavor within plain vanilla soft serve as the shop uses higher quality ingredients allowing one to immediately taste the difference. I know this is a top ice cream shop when I have little desire to order anything but vanilla soft serve. The variety of options here is mind blowing from shave ice to cold brew to 50+ malt and shake variations to hot dogs and chili dogs along with pup cups for $2. A small serving is a generous amount and dogs are welcome on the patio. While you cannot go inside, there is nothing better than sitting outside on a lovely MN day and enjoying the weather. I trust that whatever you decide to order will be great. Both my blue raspberry shave ice and cherry dipped cone were lovely. Thank you, Sprinkles! So glad you are in the Roseville neighborhood. I look forward to supporting you for years to come.

Noice! The DQ that used to be here is now an uncomplicated neighborhood ice cream stand. They've got soft serve in three flavors: vanilla, chocolate, and mango, and they can make shakes, malts or mixers out of those with quite an abundance of supplementary flavors and mix-ins. They also have a few flavors of floats and slushees, and flavored shaved ice. I came at around 8pm on a sunny summer Sunday and the line was predictably long, but moved quickly. Friendly staff, friendly crowd. They offer pup-cups for two bucks! My mixer was vanilla with brownie, and it wound up being exactly what I would have expected if I'd asked for "cookies and cream". Pretty yummy, not remarkable. I'll come back for sure.

I was really looking forward to this spot! I'd been craving a dip cone for days & unfortunately this is the worst one I've had. The dip was super uneven, and it dripped completely down the cone before the worker wrapped a napkin around it. The napkins around the cone were completely soaked in chocolate dip that essentially glued the napkin to the food on top of that, the soft serve was soo soft that the dip completely melted it, and the cone wasn't filled to the bottom Pros: super cute spot, nice large patio with lots of seating, the service was fast despite a long line.

Definitely didn't go on the right day for a cold treat but we weren't alone in this lol. Staff was friendly, there was ample parking since it's located in a strip mall. Their signs were a little overwhelming for my adhd eyes but I get it since it's an aesthetic. Their menu had a lot but at the same time it was a simple menu. Ordered a small shaved ice and boy was that thing huge. My sister got a mixed ice cream but it looked rather runny, more like a milk shake than a mixed ice cream so the shaved ice was the way to go. Will need to try it again on a warm sunny day.

As you probably know, this used to be the first Dairy Queen in Minnesota, which closed about a year ago. It was re-opened as "Sprinkles" by the same person who re-opened the very, very excellent Maverick's Real Roast Beef (located in the same shopping center). My wife and I had to give it a try and we weren't disappointed. Fortunately, we didn't have to wait long for our order of a Root Beer Float and a small dish of chocolate soft serve. The Root Beer float hit the spot for my wife, and she commented that it was very well made. My portion of ice cream was very generous (for a "small) and the chocolate flavor was very good. Although there is no inside seating, there are many tables outside, which we enjoyed. We were particularly impressed with the friendliness of every employee. I am glad this landmark was saved and it seems to be very good quality too.

This is our absolute favorite soft serve spot! Their ice cream is so creamy. We go there on the hottest of days which means it's hard to get a picture before things start to melt. The menu at this place is huge! We've tried several things. I definitely recommend the "mixer" over shakes and malts... it stays more frozen. Free water is available off to the side of the building. Even with a line, there usually isn't much of a wait. I've never had the same thing twice, but I think my favorite Mixer combination is chocolate, caramel, and cheesecake.

Excellent soft serve. Will go again. Parking can be a bit dicey when busy. Good service and lots of varieties.

Karol Coffee…read morejust celebrated their one-year anniversary this spring, and they've established themselves so well. Their staff are so kind and welcoming, and their drinks high-quality with fresh beans. My parents say they're so spoiled on Karol's excellent drip coffee, they can no longer drink Starbucks and Caribou brews. I'm a latte-lover and love to see what their specials are. Current fav is the Girl Scout caramel delight-inspired. They get very creative with their flavors, such as their Garden Cookie Latte made with a rosemary sea salt and mocha syrup. This shop is also very kid-friendly, with a play area inside and outside. Fun Fact: Named after Karol Józef Wojtyła, better known as Pope John Paul II. Parking: free street parking, just know it's across the street from a school, so drive slow!

Tucked away in a cozy residential neighborhood, the cafe has a really warm and homey atmosphere, almost like you're visiting someone's house. The Garden Latte had a stronger rosemary flavor, which was definitely noticeable. The breakfast sandwich was yummy, and the Sparkling Blackberry Iced Tea was super refreshing! Overall, such a cute spot for a weekend breakfast or coffee run.

A gem!! Located across the street from Hamline University, Ginkgo offers great coffee drinks,…read moresandwiches, breakfast items, baked goods, and a welcoming environment. Best part? Open until 8 pm many evenings!! As a night owl, I appreciate any coffee shop that has extended hours past a typical shop. The service is always hands on and staff members are quick to move lines along and take orders right away. Having a presence at both CHS Field and the MN State Fair, I am all about supporting this local Saint Paul shop. Inside the shop, there are always unique gifts to purchase such as cards, jewelry, painting, t-shirts, etc. I always advocate for shopping small especially for holidays and birthdays. When I stopped in on Wednesday evening, to my surprise, there was an open mic music night and I enjoyed listening to all the artists. I recommend checking the website to keep up with with all the happening. Lastly, there is a nice parking lot around the backside of the building along with a cute patio for the warmer months. Enjoy!!

I had no idea such a neat place was on Snelling!…read more I really like that they have their own parking, and space feels nice and cozy. The cashier was very kind and answered all my questions. I had the root beer float and a breakfast burrito with turkey sausage. I know that sounds weird, but the heart wants what the heart wants. - I enjoyed the root beer float, but I would have liked a bit more ice cream. It was decent for the price. - I did find the burrito a bit bland. The salsa helped, but I think hot sauce would have really kicked it up a notch. Overall, I would come back and maybe try some more of the menu.
