Mud caked, wet, soft wood. not much hard wood. 6" pieces. hard to burn, smolders. Not a full cord delivered. not worth the price

I hired these guys to do my lawn every other week but they came weekly despite calls to them to change. My biggest gripe with them was unecessary work and its cost. I have a small lot and this August was one of the driest. Karr charged me for 5 visits in August to do my lawn even though it didn't grow any. This guy is less than honest and I wouldn't use them again. All he seems concerned about is stuffing his pocket with money. I suggest that you don't use him. read more

Yesterday, we had Karr Landscaping stop by with a backhoe to rip out some over-grown plants and schrubs from our home on Mill road,. What an incredible company. Now only did they go beyond what they said they were going to do but, they were on-time, finished the total job, including replacing top-soil and power blowing during clean-up. The bill was fully 30% lower than their nearest competitor. Thank you Matt, your landscaping crew/company are the best. ps :: you were recommended by 6 neighbors; must be a record!!! read more

Karr Landscaping is HORRIBLE, STAY AWAY!!! I recently moved to Morris Plains, New Jersey. I bought a beautiful new house with my wife and kids. I work a lot and so does my wife, so we are in dyer need for landscaping help. I was forwarded Karr's company from a vey nice person at a Garden Store on Rt10. I gave Karr Land. a call and set up a visit. He was very nice ( Mr Karr, I assume). Came out, gave me a quote. Price seemed reasonable but I'm new to this so if 42$ for 1.6 acres of lawn mowing a week is good then so be it. He never gave me date and said, " sorry we're to busy and I will try to get to you some time next week!". I said, "Next week???!" I said we are in dyer need and just need a quick mowing. Non the less, I went along and waited, and waited and waited. Until, I texted and asked "When will they come?" and he said " If i can find someone else sooner go ahead because they are too busy and when they get to me they get to me!" Service read more

We used them when we first moved to Morris Plains, but canceled 3 weeks later when we bought our own mower. The work they did was fine as we only had them mow. We asked them for every other week- they made their own decision to come every week, so when we bought our own mower and canceled they still showed up and charged us for both times despite getting the dates wrong and us having canceled. We don't even use them anymore and we're still dealing with their inconsiderate behavior as they've been mowing our neighbors' properties since 710am; before the 8am start time issued by the town, and the state of NJ. So if you want to get charged for work you didn't want done or woken up early in the morning, these are your guys. Next time will be calling the town. read more

We had a snow removal contract with these guys for about 3 years. For the first two they were fine but last year we had a signed contract with them and they didn't show up for the first (and biggest) storm. When we called them asked why, they told us that they were not doing our property anymore. They would not give us a reason. We always paid them and never had any issues, to my knowledge. When I sent them a copy of our signed contract, they agreed, grudgingly, to do that one plowing and were cancelling the contract after that. Be very cautious of a company that does business like that. read more

I tried for 8 WEEKS calling and email Jose asking when the job (which was minor compared to the work already performed) would be finished. Granted, it did rain a few times, which made scheduling this appointment difficult, but it didn't rain EVERY DAY for two months. Now we have a handrail laying on the side of our front steps, which looks horrible and I doubt I'll be able to get ahold of Jose to request a partial refund. This means I now have to call another contractor to finish this work. I'm sure Jose isn't reading these reviews because there are no responses from him, but for anyone looking for a contractor, please do yourself a favor and stay away.

Once the pipe repair was completed by the town's Sewer Department, Tommy and his team returned to our home and carefully back-filled the hole with the dirt they removed. Each project was top-notch. Tommy and his team of qualified, trained professional landscapers arrived on time, were very efficient, thorough, careful, and friendly. Since everything was exactly planned out and explained during the initial estimate, there were no surprises or hidden fees along the way. The wall started to lean slightly within 5 years as it was not built with drainage in mind. This time around, I wanted the retaining wall build the right way. I called Charles and Son Construction & Landscaping to get an estimate because I prefer someone local and was pleased with their online reviews. Carlos arrived as scheduled to write up the estimate. He immediately suggested re-using the blocks since they seemed to be in decent condition and would save money. I met with another company the day prior and was originally planning on getting a 3rd estimate. After getting Carlos' very reasonable estimate and asking a few question regarding timeline, I approved the estimate and was ready to move forward. Just 3 days later, the work started and was finished just 4 days later with a Sunday and a rainy Monday that was a wash out. I was so pleased since this has been on my todo list for the last several years and relieved to have it done correctly. My neighbor was also pleased to get part of his yard back. I highly recommend Charles and Son Construction & Landscaping for any outdoor project. You won't be disappointed. We have lived in Morris Plains for over 5 years and have used Karr Landscaping exclusively for our landscaping projects plus leaf/snow removal. They have helped us upgrade almost 100% of our front landscape and completely re-grade our backyard which used to flood often, creating pools of water and heavy moss growth. Also, Matt helped us create a playground area for our kids swing-set on a part of our yard that was not initially level and overgrown with weeds, debris and rocks. Matt provides reasonable quotes and suggestions to match the existing landscape and overall look of our property without trying to up-sell more expensive ideas. I started using Karr Landscapes in the middle of the summer last year. Even though it was the middle of the season they came and gave me a contract which they adjusted to my needs. Their prices are beyond reasonable.Every time I called or emailed with a question Matt got right back to me. Matt comes out personally and inspects exactly what I am asking for and always delivers. They go over and above! I had branches on my garage roof this spring which they removed and never charged me extra in my spring clean up. They have also done my gutters in the Fall. These guys are good. The owner of the company Matt is very nice and professional. I have never had an issue with their services which I have been using for a few years now. As usual, spot on with their timeliness on getting my mulch put down and trimming up the bushes in the front of my house last week showing up just after 7am. Everything looks great! They get my yard ready for spring and come by when needed for fall clean up. Prices are very reasonable. I referred them to my father in law who is now using them. Great job guys! read more

I have used Karr Landscapes for Fall and Spring clean up and now use them for weekly mowing and lawn maintenance and find them to be great. The yard was very clean and have cut the lawn on a regular basis. My wife and I work full time and have been finding it harder to get somethings done around the house and when we contacted Karr they were very responsive, sent a contract to us and were out there cleaning, mulching and cutting making our yard look like a park.
