Came here with wife and in-laws for dinner. The young lady who seated and waited on us was very nice. We ordered 2 salads one with chicken and order of the garlic bread and one pizza. The salads were great. Very fresh ingredients and the chicken was delicious. The garlic bread was good. I'd say better than most. Now the reason we came to a pizza joint the pizza. We got the works pie. The pizza was ok. I don't find it special but it's not bad. But to me the surprising thing was the salads especially with the chicken was the star. Let me start by saying that our server at the West Point location, Jessica, was wonderful. No complaints there, and tipped accordingly. But good grief are we outraged at the prices verses what you get. The pizza is below average. Honestly there is nothing remarkable about the flavors. And the cheese is nearly nonexistent. The prices are our biggest complaint. In the current economy, most families cannot or will not pay this much for mediocrity. Our other gripe is that we are not allowed to modify the specialty pies. This is ridiculous and to build our own up to our desire would be astronomical!!!!! This sad green salad was $11! This 1.5 topping one size only pizza was $21. We drank water because we anticipated an exorbitant bill and still ended up over $46 after tip. There is no kids menu. With all the other options in a 15 miles radius it will be a very long time before we return here. I hate to complain because I recall a time we had nothing to choose from in West Point, but Karvelas doesn't bring enough value for our dollar. read more

Pizza and service were amazing! I've been looking for good pizza in Georgia and finally found it. We tried this spot after Dave Portnoy reviewed it with a high score. Decided to stop on our way back from Florida. Everybody loved it! Restaurant has a great vibe and lots of TVs. We also tried the wings and they were equally amazing! read more

The food was good.service was nice and surprisingly fast.They didn't give us crayons. The ambiance was nice.

We ordered a Greek salad. They don't offer Greek dressing. The salad was premade with brown lettuce. We told our server we sharing and asked for two bowls. He bought us our dine in salad in one to go box. I asked for crackers with the salad. They don't have crackers. I asked for Dr Pepper to drink and they were out. They don't offer Hawáin style pizza. The manager did come by our table and speak with us about our issues. Part of it was the servers lack of menu knowledge. They are considering adding pineapple as a topping. We got a pizza with all meat. It's okay and the chicken bites and fries were good. The manager did take off the salad from our check and was helpful and kind. He clarified that the deli dressing is their Greek. The server didn't convey that. read more

Food was okay but the music was WAY too loud and when we asked them to turn it down, they said that the head office controls the music. Why would the head office not allow the specific locations to control the volume? Not sure if it was legit or if it was just a convenient excuse, but either way that's not okay. This location is too small for how loud the music is. Do better. read more

Poor management! Took out drink order after sitting for 10 minutes. Then we waited for another 20 minutes and couldn't get the only waitress to come back to take our order! Not her fault as she was working hard! No manager present. Not sure how the pizza would have been but wanted about 45 minutes of my day. Terrible, just terrible!!! read more

I suppose this review will be something of an anomaly because, even though I have eaten there three times, I have yet to eat a pizza. Karvelas is a pizza chain, locally owned I believe, that started in LaGrange, GA. It is located, for any living fossils (like myself), in the old Woolsworth building in downtown West Point. The interior is neat but spare. Service is very good. What have I been eating, if not pizza? They have an excellent grilled chicken salad which I like so well that it is what I have eaten every time that I have dined there. A good mixture of different varieties of lettuce, green and red bell peppers, onions, black olives and very tasty and savory grilled chicken make this a winner. Perhaps I'll try a pizza someday. read more

Karvela's is one of my favorite pizza spots! The Memphis and Magnolia pies are a family favorite, and the Rocky Top wings are the bomb! My only complaint is you can only get one size pizza, no slices (unless it's the lunch special), and they rarely give us plates. Multiple times, I've had to ask for plates for a shared large pizza. Oh well, minor complaints for a great restaurant. read more

First visit, the food was very good. The Memphis pie pizza and wings were delicious, but for a restaurant that doesn't serve food with plate (just have paper on top of the dinning table), and serve beer with plastic cup, $90 (includes tip, 1 pizza, 20 wings which is $30! And 3 beer) for 3 people is just ridiculously pricy. I would love to try their other pizzas, but until they adjust the price, I wouldn't go back again. read more

I never like to complain, but when you spend prices like this & no one even bothers to assist, it's better to let others know. Order 20 wings split with my wife, they brought out the wrong flavor for me. I understood mistakes happen. They said they'd remake them. Great start to fixing the situation. After 30 minutes of sitting & my side of wings not what I ordered, I wound up eating three of those ten. The Waitress didn't ever come back, ran out of drink & had to give my daughter mine because no one would even come by or look at us. Finally tracked the waitress down, & asked for our check. She said, sorry, but they ran out of wings & my redo can't be done. She did offer to discount the meal. Unfortunately she couldn't though, she didn't have the capability & no one was there to help her. I said just give my ticket so I can pay & leave.
