Good food love the gyro as well as the shrimp Alfredo. They did recently change the break to rolls not quite a fan of these compared to the old style breadsticks.. However this last time we went I just wanted wings man.. mistake..lol .. some of these wings were literally not even the size of a chicken nugget .. good sauce but geeez this pic is not even the smallest one !! Food and service were good. I had heard a lot about this place and I understand why...place is 80's vintage. Food is a combination of Greek and Italian. Dessert selection was beautiful, extensive, delicious. My only complaint, eggplant parmigiana was covered in meat sauce, I'm a vegetarian. Grace was a nice server. This place is definitely 'off the beaten path.' My wife found it searching for alternative lunch places near LaGrange, since we were going there afterwards. It is actually a bit over 6 miles north of LaGrange in a small plaza just off the main highway. You enter via the right-most door on the front. You are then apparently at the take-out counter and must head to your left to the podium where they seat the dine-in patrons. You also walk past the cooler display with their cake desserts, which looked good. The restaurant's decor is what I'd associate with several non-chain neighborhood Italian places I've been - photos of Italy, reproductions of the Mona Lisa, sketches of Italian cafes, etc. It made me nostalgic for several such places that are no longer around, actually. Our server was friendly and attentive. They brought out sort of pizza dough / breadsticks and marinara sauce for them, which were good. I got the spaghetti lunch special and my wife got the lasagna. While both of us really wanted to like the food, it was just okay. Definitely not bad, just not outstanding. I was hoping it *would* be great, so that I'd have an excuse to make the drive down here every couple of months for the food / experience. If I had a choice of going to an Olive Garden, a Carrabba's, or here, I'd come here. If you're in the area, it is worth stopping by. Portions are huge but Would be a lot better if they didn't butcher the noodles to there pastas. You don't need to break noodles 2-3 times let alone once they should be full size the way the noodle is intended it makes getting a biteworth rather challenging read more

The food was amazing. We stumbled upon it while staying at The Great Wolf Lodge celebrating our son's birthday. We ordered pasta dishes and every single one of them was great! The service was amazing. Leana took great cake of us. She even threw in a free birthday cake for our son. I will definitely come back and try the pizza. read more

I drove all the way out there for lunch only to stand around for 5 minutes and nobody to seat me. Waitress walked past multiple times. I wasn't greeted by the lady at the counter. Against not only good sense but also the ADA, they would not allow my VA service dog. I informed them this was illegal and the lady told me "well that's how the owner wants it, we have staff afraid of dogs." I left my phone number for the owner. Maybe we can have a conversation of how to best respect other disabled veterans but also how to comply with the law. We are from south ga and we are here visiting and it was amazing!! 10/10 on food , service , and environment!! Definitely would describe as a hole in the wall place but would come back every time I'm in Lagrange! It was two of us and we ordered spaghetti, a 14inch pizza, and cheese sticks and it was under 50$ we walked out with enough food left over to eat for the rest of our weekend so in my opinion you can't beat that !! Good Pizza and wings and bread sticks great place to take your family for lunch or dinner

Picked up a takeout order during my most recent travels. The restaurant was empty given the circumstances. However the kitchen was fully staffed and everyone was REALLY friendly. Despite only counter service, I could tell that the staff was working hard at providing the best quality customer service. I am sure this must be the regular here and I appreciate it! I ordered a cheese lovers Pizza with pineapple and mushrooms on top. It was SO GOOD!!! I don't recall ever having a cheese lover's pizza that had feta in it but the feta gave the pizza the right amount of tartness to contrast the salty cheeses like parmesan. The pizza also came with a garlic parmesan sauce as the base instead of a traditional marinara sauce. This was different for me but it was still really quite tasty. I am glad that I chose this pizza. However I do wish that they had added a side of marinara to dip my pizza in versus an additional garlic sauce. Overload and I could not use both. I also saw that there were freshly made desserts in a refrigerated case. I was so sad that I did not take a slice to go. I saw a homemade carrot cake, cannoli cake, white chocolate raspberry cake and maybe two others. They all looked so freaking delicious! read more

Every time I come home I want to visit this place, it's makes me feel at home. The portions are enough for 2, if not more. The food is always fresh, and OMGoodness, the complimentary bread sticks, and marinara sauce are so good. Recently we had my mom a surprise birthday dinner with about 30+ people; although we had a little mix up towards the end with the checks the waitress was polite, ver accommodating and took great care of of us. I loved that there was no extra fee to book a party of that size. read more

We go to Milanos a minimum of one time a week since moving here. The food is always great, enough for 2 meals and sometimes 3, the service has always been excellent. The inside does remind us of a restaurant in Italy. read more

Wares Crossroads on Hwy 27 and just over the Heard / Troup County line is where I found Milano's Italian restaurant. But if you're not in the mood for Italian cuisine, check out the menu and especially the Specials of the Day. The Ribeyes go fast and they always have some sort of fish as Specials. My favorite for lunch or dinner is the famous steak sandwich and a glass of sweet tea for under ten bucks. Save your money for the fancy cheesecake as you will not miss seeing their huge selection of Sweetness in the massive dessert display as you enter the large dining area. I highly suggest everyone near Troup or Heard County take a short break from Lagrange to Franklin. read more

Happened to drive by this nice little Italian restaurant on the way to a job nearby and so glad we stopped. The eggplant parm was delicious with a crunchy coating and deep red pasta sauce. Portions were huge. So huge that we skipped the wonderful looking desserts. Will definitely be back. read more

(Be sure to read the update at the end. Problematic.) For starters, let me say that this is more than just a pizza place. It has a large selection of Italian dishes, Greek dishes, and typical slightly upscale restaurant fare. (Steaks) I ate here on a Thursday night and the restaurant was pretty crowded. I'm sure it's popular with the locals. I had Cajun shrimp pasta and substituted a Greek salad for a $1.99 upcharge. Since I was driving, I chose not to have wine, but drink sweet tea instead. When the server brought me my tea, she also brought a basket of bread with marinara sauce for dipping. I was pretty hungry and ate it all before the food came. I didn't have to ask for more; she stopped by the table and asked me if I would like more. In fact I never had to ask for anything; she always seem to anticipate what I needed. I have eaten here before and found the food to be quite good, but I think they outdid themselves tonight. The Greek salad was amazing - they were not stingy with the feta cheese. The Cajun shrimp pasta was preparedseasoned perfectly. In other words, there was not a weak point in this meal at all. UPDATE - March 27, 2019 - I returned and was quite frankly disappointed. The bread was cold. The salad arrived quickly, but not as quickly as my entree, Chicken fettuccine. So I had to stop eating my salad and eat the entree before it got cold. I don't know if this sauce was supposed to be Alfredo sauce, or the milk in the bottom of a cereal bowl. The consistency resembled the latter. It also included broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots - and they were obviously frozen, and a store brand at that. They are advertising for help. Perhaps this is the issue. read more

I heard about the place and decided to try it. Admittedly I was a little concerned when I drove up. The restaurant was in a strip center but parking was easy. You walk into the takeout part first but don't let that scare you away. To get to the dining room you pass an amazing dessert counter. That alone made it worthwhile. Stopped by after a couple hours on the lake, called ahead take out. Required to pay over the phone. The restaurant is bigger than it appears. The parking lot was packed but there were still lots of seats available. We ordered the family special 1 large 5 topping pizza, chicken wings, cheese bread, and a 2 liter coke. We added Cajun chicken pasta and upgraded to a Greek salad with ranch. The cheese bread is delicious but too small. The chicken wings were over cooked and tiny. The pizza was good, but even better the next day. The Cajun chicken was literally overrun with straight Cajun seasoning. I'm not sure what I expected but that wasn't it. Even more odd the girl on the phone said that's one over her favorites but I thought it was awful. The Greek salad was made in advance because there was nasty soggy bad pieces all over the bottom... I'm saying it was made in advance bc if someone knowingly put those pieces in the salad while making it fresh then they should be fired. Also didn't get any dressing for the salad which was frustrating bc I asked the guy if it was correct or if i should check it and he assured me it was right. Not a big deal we ate at home so I had dressing there. As mentioned above the pizza was okay that night but even better as left overs the next day. Next time we decide to eat there we will eat in and see if the quality is better... if so then I'll update my review. read more

On a visit to Great Wolf, we had a craving for Italian. After perusing the menus of the LaGrange Yelp listing, we decided on Milano's and ordered takeout, not realizing it was the furthest from Great Wolf. After almost bailing in mid-drive a couple of times, we arrived to see a hoard of folks waiting outside. Everything was ready and waiting, so we were on the way back in seconds, still grumbling about the drive. With plenty of drive time left, my wife broke open the Lasagne for a taste. Suffice it to say, we're planning a trip from North Atlanta just to go back for the Lasagne -- truly the best either of us have ever had. If the rest of the menu is even half as good as their Lasagne, Milano's is not to be missed! read more

Well, this is as American as Italian food can be. This is the home of ranch with Greek salads, gigantic serving sizes, and pickled banana peppers. For an appetizer we got a sampler of sorts. It had cheese pie, spinach pie (some sort of flakey crusted creamy cheese), fried mushrooms, and mozzarella sticks. All fried and all tastes exactly as you would expect. Fried. I got a Greek salad for starters. It included salad mix (probably out of a bag) with cabbage and carrots. Cucumbers, tomatoes, bell pepper, peppercini, olives, and a strange Italian dressing. Wouldn't recommend this. For dinner I got a special for the night, which was chicken marcala. It came on a bed of rice (???) so I changed that for a pasta. It came with two chicken patties. The patties seemed to be from some mass prep of chicken patties that had gotten old and reconstituted. The sauce was good it, all tasted FINE, but literally nothing above anything I've ever had. The service was very interesting. The sweet young girl obviously didn't have near enough training which made for awkward encounters over and over again. At the end of the day, I understand. This is an Italian restaurant in the middle of nowhere with a young staff. I think that there is a lot right going on at Milano's, and it just needs some revising. read more

Disappointed!!!! The waitress didn't have a mask on and refused to put one on after admitting she was NOT vaccinated!!! She claimed no one in the restaurant had a mask for her to wear! Disgusting.... We left and will never go back Don't go if you want to live! Such reckless behavior!!! read more
