For lunch we headed to 505 Eats. A trendy little spot connected to a Marathon gas station. If you're looking for light lunches, this is the place. We got a couple of their summer specials. I got the Prosciutto Apple Brie Panini. It's sliced apples, Brie, arugula, honey mustard, and mayo on a baguette and pressed until it's crispy and thin. A delicious sandwich. Creamy, sweet, salty, bitter. So many contrasting textures and flavors. So good. Mah Wife got the Watermelon Strawberry Summer Salad. It's cubed watermelon and sliced strawberries, cucumbers, and red onions on a bed of spinach and arugula tossed with sliced roasted almonds, and a poppy seed vinaigrette. Sweet and fresh. It was served room temp, but would've been so refreshing if it was served chilled. But still some great flavors on that salad. Overall, a great lunch. read more

Had lunch there a few days ago. i am very picky about my Rueben's but theirs was pretty good. They rye was a pumpernickel rye swirl. I really prefer straight rye. but it was good. Didnt get soggy. Good sauerkraut to corned beef ratio. Homemade potato chips were good. I like them served with some ranch dipping sauce. I'm going to say the star of the meal was something I got to go and didn't eat til two days later. The baklava! It was fresh made. not to sticky. and had a great walnut flavor! I don't think I've had any better - EVER! two pieces for $4. I'll get a double serving next time! and I'll order the Rueben again. My coworker had the pimento cheese sandwich and the other had the Greek salad. They cleaned their plates so I'm going to assume it was good :). I've been to 505 Eats multiple times. This week has has been extremely great. Their Mediterranean salad is wonderful. Today I had the teriyaki salmon, and it was really really good. When I order off the regular menu, I tend to get the veggie burger which I also love. If you like beets, then the beet salad is also very good. I usually get a half beet salad because it's pretty big. the people working there are always very nice. They will take care of you. Lots of places to sit with booths and large natural wooden tables, as well as some regular tables. Overall I highly recommend this place. read more

I was in town working, saw this place on Yelp, and decided to place a takeout order. The menu looked great and after much deliberation I ordered the muffuletta and a sweet tea. I was kind of shocked when my tea was brought out in a child's cup. The sandwich was a big disappointment as well. The bread was stone hard (to the point of being inedible) and the whole thing just didn't look appetizing at all. Lastly the chips were not crispy, just hard. Restaurant easily accessible off main road. We had several different items and all were fresh and tasty. The chicken salad sandwich was my favorite. Took a star off for inside ambience. There were boxes and random things strewn all over the dining room. Ramen noodle packages, boxes, plates, lightbulbs, bags. It was all random and made me think twice about how clean the the kitchen was. It just gives a bad impression. Those things should not be in sight. Ordered lunch here for a customer visit to patronize small business vs stopping at chain sandwich shop. I was rewarded by a "required" 20% gratuity for large orders(I ordered 12 sandwiches). I order lunches all the time and this fee is not standard for a pick up order. The veggie burger was dry and full of carbs with no option to substitute a healthy side. Cool spot. Don't be fooled by it being attached to a gas station. These people care about their food. Had a GREAT small beet salad. I mention small because most places offer a salad and its huge. It's often too much combined with a main meal. Having a small salad offering gives you the option in size and price to get a salad and something else. For me that something else was the veggie burger (I don't eat meat). Veggie burger was GREAT. Comes with lettuce tomato and avocado. I have no saturation point with avocado. Comes with a chipotle sauce (I hear mayo) which I had on side and didn't use. Served with chips. As in potato chips. Would expects a place like this to have a slaw or bean offering but they don't. The bread they Serve it on is excellent. They had a grilled cheese offering as a special which looked excellent, with a mix of 3-4 cheeses and a broccoli soup. Also a pulled pork. I was shocked to see that they didn't offer any sort of fancy desserts. The staff was very pleasant, helpful and positive. Very impressive. At $8 for a sandwich, I found prices to be very fair. She is seriously talented to make beets taste SO GOOD! The beet salad is now one of my favorite meals. Great mix of texture with the creamy goat cheese, crunchy walnuts, firm but not hard beets, and crisp mixed greens. The citrus vinaigrette is delicious and light. Everything else I have had on the menu is also delicious and exceeds my expectations. The crispy waffle chips with every sandwich are also a treat. They offer specialty sandwiches that you can't find any where else in town, like the Muffaletta and Pimento BLT to name a few of my favorites. They also offer weekly specials of more exotic entrées like a fried chicken sandwich topped with jalapeño coleslaw.
