I went there for eyebrows and facial. Before my facial I removed my gold chain along with my emerald ring and a pearl pendant and kept it in my purse. I hung the puse at the back of the door. After the facial, I changed and left and within 5 minutes I realized that my gold jwellery was gone. I went back inside and asked the lady who did my facial but she refused to tell me where it was. I called the owner and he refused to help too. Infact he was pretty rude and did not seem to care. Finally had to call the cops and start an investigation. Threading done in about five minutes with an average job the price for threading is listed on the wall for 9 dollars but she charged me 14 because I am a man. They said that man cost more than women!?! That's crazy. It's not listed anywhere that gender plays a role in pricing. The only price difference being that my gender is being male. Really disappointed with the service. I went to get eye brows and face wax. She insisted me to pay ahead of the service and I made the payment. She started with face waxing without headband and once she was done, she immediately started eyebrow threading. I asked her if she would wipe my face atleast and she said she would do it after eyebrows. My face was already burning and itchy with sticky wax, but she did eye brows threading in that. After the eye brow threading she just grabbed two tissues, wet it and wiped it. She did not even bother to wipe it with a clean cloth. I had to explicitly ask her for a cloth. After I got back home, my face was red and itchy. She should have ideally wiped my face and not waited till she finished eye brow threading. Really disappointed. Very affordable and walk ins are always easy. I'd say I love my eyebrows 3/5 times. The other two times the end of my eye brows are usually shortened or left slightly uneven, but nothing a little eyebrow pencil can't fix (which is why I'll still come back for the price). I try to be politely vocal about what I want for my eyebrows (ex my left one is a bit thinner so please don't take too much off the end), and it's usually taken well. Again, I'm satisfied 3/5 times, and the other two times they're "just fine" . For the price though, no real complaints and you're in and out in 10-15 mins max. read more

Never seen such a horrible person. Terrible guy, who was driving this van. He hogged a parking spot as if he owns the whole shopping area. He almost rammed into my car and started yelling. This community has limited parking and the curves are sharp with just enough space for any car to move. There were many people waiting to find a spot to park. He first blocked the entrance of other neighbor shops. People were walking around through the parking lot from their cars to the stores around there. We all were waiting to find a spot to park and when this one car started to leave this guy now wanted to jump in. At first he got it from nowhere and had a courage to block the movement of entire parking lot. Later while racing this van he cared less of the people walking. He did care to pull down his vehicle window and shout something, which I leave it to all readers to imagine an uncivilized person like this guy would speak. He honked loud too and raced car once again to park. My review is about this guy only who should no sense of respect to all the people who were patiently waiting to park and also not being mindful of pedestrians in the parking lot. The way he rushed in, he could have hurt some elderly people and also if there were kids around. The restaurant here is very popular but a neighbor like this is about to make this place terrible to visit. My right eyebrow is missing hair (in pic) and left eyebrow is super thin. They also removed a tone of hair from the inner are near nose bridge and my eyebrows look unusually far apart now. "I don't like them thin. I want them thick. Leave them thicker than you're used to. Don't change the shape. Just clean up." Please tell me honestly if that is not clear enough. I need to know if I'm not communicating well because I thought I was. I've said those phrases twice already and both times, I walk out with thin brows that I have to grow out for three to four months hoping that the next time they will leave them how I want. I guess my first visit was a fluke because it's the only time I walked out happy. Or it's my fault that I don't ask for Shanaz before I go. She did them great. Where are you Shanaz? Now I have to fill them in because they are uneven and too thin. The lady saw my brows for a minute. I see them everyday. I'm positive that when she tells me she didn't touch the width, she is wrong. I was unhappy and they did try to rectify the situation by having someone else at least try to make them even but at that point, I was worried I was going to end up with no brows at all. To top it off, there was another girl complaining about the same. They left her brows too thin and that she said clean up only. Apparently "clean up" means, get the brows they want to give you. It's affordable compared to other places but it's almost like getting a bad haircut when your brows aren't done the way you hoped. The growing out stage sucks! read more

I have visited Kashish beauty parlor thrice so far while I was in this area. Threading service was satisfactory, waxing service could have been better. My real problem lied with the attitude of the women who provide the service. They seem to make a mental note of the customer when we enter this place - what are the flaws to point out and how could we look better using their service. I witnessed it on all my visits. If you want to make more money or want the customer to get additional services done, then up your service ante. I will be glad to spend my time and money on someone who is good at what they do instead of getting into suggestion tactic every single time. I called in to get appointment for threading and they said that they don't have any until evening which is understandable and I liked that they were maintaining with government guidelines to limit the number if people. I called another salon as I wanted to get my eyebrows done and got to know that some services are still restricted under guidelines and eyebrow threading is one of them. Meanwhile I got call back from Kashish Salon(private number) saying that I can come but to their Santa Clara location and with cash $18 for both eyebrows and upperlip. BTW, I hav been going to this salon from past 6 years and their prices on their site are pretty up to date always . For both eyebrows and upper lip it should be 10-11$. Firstly, they are cheating government by providing services that they are not suppose to and putting a lot of people at risk during tough time. Lastly, they want to cheat government by not paying tax on cash payments and cheating their customers with extra charges. Kashish have worked hard to build a chain of salons but I am sorry whoever is incharge now is going to ruin it all. Protect your self and your family and stay away from these cheats. read more

Services are ridiculously affordable. $10 total for both services. Had an available appointment almost immediately available from when I called. Clean, modest facility. Cons: Could use a little more polish on the business side. When I called for an appointment and agreed on a time, she did not ask me for my name. When I asked for an eyebrow wax, she said she did not provide that service. In reality, what she should have said is they no longer offer eyebrow waxing. The menu picture from another yelper's post clearly showed it and it is actually still up next to the register. Strangely, she did not offer me threading and I had to ask. I am a regular customer for threading in Sunnyvale Wolfe salon. I had the most horrible experience today. One of the girls completely ruined my eyebrows and then denied it. Aman and other girls looked at my eyebrows and accepted that she has done a bad job. She cut the length of one of my eyebrow and made it super thin and archy whereas the other was perfectly fine. I like the work the girls there did but the owner is penny-wise-pound-foolish. I have been going to Kashish for about 8 months and tip them whenever I can. Today I was there, I was tipping what I thought was sufficient and one of the girls (she was either the owner or the owner's relative) forced me to tip within the required 10-15%. Note: I was only tipping $0.50 less than the amount she was requiring me to pay!! Over 50 cents, she lost a customer and it's really pathetic. Tipping is earned. I come in for threading and I always leave with cuts on my face but I still tip - it may not be 10-15%, but tip is earned not demanded! If you want better tip, turn on the A/C and clean up the place. Never going back there again. They forget there are other options. read more

I had a 1:00pm and I was a couple minutes early. They told me to wait 10 mins as they were all eating. Understandable, it was lunch time and I was a little early. I usually go to San Jose to get my legs waxed but needed something today in the Santa Clara area so I started calling around. This place was the cheapest out of all the several ones I called in the area, but I was hesitant because all of the reviews saying they demanded a tip. But then I just scheduled my appointment anyway and was actually looking forward for them to tell me they required a tip because I was definitely going to go off on them about it, I WAS SO READY! For sure was going to just pay them the cost, MY tip and walk out. LOL. BUT, they didn't. They told me my price, as originally quoted, and I gave my own tip based on what I thought was deserved and they were very appreciative. Now the service, they were surprisingly very thorough. They made me realize that my own wax lady is not as thorough as she should be. They definitely took their time to make sure the work was done correctly and even asked if the wax was ok and not too hot. My own wax lady has never asked me that, lol.
