I went to get my face threaded. The lady helping me seem to be congested and was breathing on top of me without a face mask. I asked if she was sick, she said no. 2 days later, I started having headaches, sore throat and a dry cough, and I've been sick for a week. I usually don't go to this place, but I was in the area so it seemed convenient. Please have your personnel wear face masks like other places still do, I should have walked out when I saw the lady wasn't going to wear a face mask, so that's on me. Service: The brows looked ok, but not polished and when I asked her to remove a few hairs left by the side of my eye (by pointing at them and verbally saying it), she started removing more hair from my eyebrow... I had to tell her to stop as now my eyebrows were uneven, luckily, my hair falls on that side of my face and covers that eyebrow. So overall, a mediocre experience. Never coming back. read more

Went to Kashi after waiting a lot at a nearby salon, and there was hardly any wait time here! I kind of wish selfishly it remains so, I think it is new maybe that's the reason behind low wait times? This salon is starkly different from other Indian salons - the interiors are beautiful, clean and inviting! it is co-owned by a popular salon owner in the area (Mishal Sahdev salon). This salon sits at the beginning of Murphy street and is unmissable. They offer the common services like threading, waxing, facials but also offer complex facials such as hydrafacials, chemical peels etc. I got threading done here and it was quick and efficient! The aesthetician gently massaged my face with cream right after the threading was complete, this calms down the post threading burn, and usually in other salons they just offer cream/aloe and don't massage without asking. I didn't realize it was a much needed change, and getting even an ounce of massage after a long day of work was blissful! I will definitely recommend and return to Kashi. read more

Went to Mishal to try wedding makeup! Loved my trial and had so much fun getting to know her and her team. The store opened for the first time on Sunday and I loved how beautiful the interior looked. It was clear to see that so much hard work and passion went into it. Visited Kashi for the first time. I have researched quite a few salons for haircut and most places are insanely expensive in Bay Area. Despite paying a huge amount, we usually end up getting a mediocre look. My experience at Kashi was great. I asked for a haircut consultation and also showed some pictures online for suggestions. Both Smriti (owner) and Akash had great suggestions. I got a deep layer cut and must say, it was nothing short of amazing! My biggest worry was the price as they did not explicitly mention women's haircut in their services menu. I understand it depends on the length and thickness but maybe starting price would be great. Went for eye brow threading. I specifically asked for my eyebrows to be left thick as i don't like thin eye brows. The person took a chunk out of my eyebrows. The owner tried to tell me that I could use a pencil or make my eyebrows thinner. They are clueless about threading. Definitely will not recommend this place. Only decent thing, she didn't charge me for the eyebrows as she said " customer was not happy" despite me repeatedly wanting to pay. I am mostly writing this review so I can remember never to go back there again. read more

My hair felt dry and looked damaged. So I went to Kashi Salon to get my Keratin treatment. Since the keratin treatment my hair feel very soft and manageable. Mishal is not someone who'll push hair treatments on you. She cares. I say this because I mentioned I wanted to get hair color done and she suggested if I'm ok to wait so my hair get healthy then it'll be even better. It's very rare to come across hair salons that would go above and beyond. Mishal and Smriti are very knowledgeable and I completely trust them for my hair. Recently I went in for hydra facial and the results are amazing. This was done by Minu. She explained what she was doing at every step of the facial. She made sure I was ok with every new lotion/serum she applied. She even gave a great facial massage. I also got my eye brow threading done and she did a great job with the shape.
