Inside our patio, filled cracks/holes and repainted.

We reached out on Yelp to get our trim (fascia board) and shutters repainted for touch up. Aslan responded immediately, and set a date the same week to come by for a quote. He arrived on time (actually a few minutes early!) and gave us a very reasonable quote for the work which included the paint and materials needed. He was able to schedule us a few days later and arrived right on time along with an assistant. His work is impeccable. Throughout the process, he explained what he was going to do and checked to make sure I was happy. He pays a lot of attention to detail and does quality work. We were so happy with this project that we had him come back later in the week to do some stucco repair and painting. I'm so. happy we found him! Highly recommended.

They cleaned up at the end of every work day. When we thought they were done, they came back out and touched up the paint where it needed it and rehung the cable/phone lines and exterior lighting. We appreciate all they did and will definitely be calling them back for our next project.

Their admin person is very responsive and got back to me right away to schedule an estimate for our project, which consisted of a lot of smaller stuff on a new home. The estimator was scheduled to come out between 12 and 1 on Monday, August 24. We hurried back from a camping trip to make it on time. When he didn't arrive by 1:13, I followed up. I got a call right away saying he couldn't make it until around 3. 3:00 rolled around and I get another call saying he couldn't make it until 4:30. Third time's the charm, I guess - he did finally show up at the end of the day, walked the project, and said they would love to handle it for us. He promised an itemized bid by Thursday. Thursday rolled around. Crickets. Friday. Nothing. I emailed again on Sunday to check on the status of the quote, and got an email back Monday morning saying, "The proposal is still in progress on our end. However, I just reached out to the estimator for an update on when it is expected to be completed. Our proposals typically take 3-5 business days, so you should receive it sometime this week." Fast forward to the end of Friday and still nothing. 9 business days, no quote, no updates, after completely blowing the initial appointment. Very disappointing.

From day one, we were impressed with Eric who came to look at our project and give us an estimate. He was very professional, prompt, friendly, organized, knowledgeable about products, scope of work, and gave us a very impressive timeline. Eric offered his expertise about layout, and products which was very helpful. When we received our contract, it was just as he said it would be, and the scope of work included everything we requested. After the contract was signed, the owner of Vostok, Alex, arrived with the demolition crew. The crew was very careful to cover the adjacent bedroom furniture and flooring. The bathroom work area was closed off with plastic, and the crew was very tidy while they worked. The old bathroom was demolished ASAP. Alex is very knowledgeable and skilled. He has a very deep bench of very skilled craftsmen who are amazing. The quality of everything was top notch. In summary, we would highly recommend Vostok for your bathroom renovation.

Their price was fair and there was absolutely no nickel and diming the price as the work progressed. We had no surprises whatsoever! They were all so respectful working in our home. We would absolutely hire them again and whole heartedly recommend them!

I also felt very confident knowing that the plumbing, water connections, and work behind the walls were completed properly and professionally. I would definitely recommend their work. My biggest advice when choosing a Sentrel shower wall is to wait for a sample before making your final decision, especially if the color isn't available to see in the showroom. In our case, the Master shower floor and walls were supposed to be the same color, but once installed, the walls looked noticeably different and had more of a gray/green undertone. We absolutely love the workmanship and truly appreciate all the hard work that went into completing our bathroom. The only thing we're struggling with is the wall color. If replacing the walls is even an option, we would love the opportunity to discuss it, although we honestly feel hesitant asking because we know how much work went into the installation. We certainly don't want to take away from the beautiful job that was done--we just wish the final color had turned out closer to what we expected.-Pauline V.

Giving them a chance to fix it. They have since fixed the paint but I would say painting is somewhere they could improve on. Ok updating 9/5/25 we are finished with our about 8 mnth remodel from design to finish and moved in It was a big job. We are very happy we chose Solid they have been very good from start to finish. In construction there's always a hiccup or two the important thing is that you have a contract who stands behind there work and Solid does just that!Everything looks amazing and we're loving it. We would definitely recommend Solid to anyone. In fact we have already and our daughter and son in law have already used them to remodel their kitchen and it turned out beautiful!! So if you're looking for a full service contractor give Solid a call. Like my husband says if you don't get it right in the beginning it won't be right in the end. They were our middle bid and the right choice!

It would be very difficult to give an accurate estimate that way because there's a lot of dry rot underneath the steps which needed to be inspected in-person. R&B Framing was the only company which showed up to take a look at the steps. Two days later, Jose Cedillo emailed me an estimate and thoroughly answered my questions. His company uses Redwood or cedar wood for Victorian homes, though cedar does cost extra. We were surprised by how fast his crew finished the job. They showed up on April 9th, early in the morning and worked until the evening. They arrived the next day to finish the rest of the steps and the banisters. He also painted the banisters according to the original white creme color. If it's a legacy house, they'll stick to the originality of the Victorian architecture. (Per building code regulations, when a house is considered a legacy house the paint must be the original--or close to the original color--of when the house was first built.)

They didn't come in as the lowest bid, but their presentation and cost were within project budget so they were selected. I'm glad we chose them, their team of subcontractors were on the job site every morning on time and ready to go. They handled the work efficiently, with skill, and we could not be happier with the results so far. They have to come back and do a little finish work, and some additional work we would like them to do that was outside the original scope of work (yes, we asked them to do more, that is how much we liked their service).

It was a massive project that stripped things down almost to the studs. Overall, it was a 5-star experience and we're really happy with the final result. One of the things they did exceptionally well was the upfront planning. They scanned the house and worked off our Pinterest boards to build a digital 3D model first. Being able to iterate on that digital model before any demolition started meant my wife and I could nail down the aesthetics and know exactly what to expect. Once construction was underway, jobsite cleanliness was great, and living through the disruption was about as tolerable as a major renovation can be. Olive Homes handled all the Folsom city permitting and inspections without too much friction on our end. Whenever unforeseen issues popped up--as they always do with major renos--they came to us proactively with solid ideas and solutions. On top of that, they actually finished on budget (slightly under budget, in fact), which is pretty rare for a project of this scale. The main downside was the timeline. The project took longer than both we and Olive Homes expected. Their primary team and main subcontractors were top-notch, but some of those main subs hired secondary subcontractors below them. That extra layer caused communication breakdowns--there were days when secondary subs didn't show up when expected, and some of their work was lower quality and had to be redone. The prime contractor was very empathetic and considerate throughout, stepping in to ensure re-works were handled properly, but those secondary sub issues definitely caused delays. At the end of the day, the finished product turned out beautifully. The craftsmanship is high quality, and we've gotten a ton of compliments from family and neighbors. We've made our final payments and expect to do our 1-year warranty checkup punch list soon, but we are genuinely very happy with our home and would recommend Olive Homes to anyone looking for a solid, honest local contractor.
