Since the menu is smaller they can focus solely on that menu. Focus they do! It's very very good food and a healthy portion of food as well. From the gouda Mac and cheese with fried onions to the absolutely amazing fried chicken sandwich with Maine maple glaze and everything in between... to die for!! They also have the most amazing red potatoes. They fry them up as "smashed spuds" and they're so so good! I go there sometimes just for those ! They were at Mast Landing for Gunners Daughter 2025 event but the easiest way to see where they will be would be to check their social media for a schedule. Both workers/owners were friendly and were in positive moods despite being busy. My wife and I got an order of the Pork Dumplings and we each got a Sook Crispy Chicken Fried Sandwich. Firstly the dumplings were phenomenal with the perfect amount of crisp. Also the clear sauce that came with them was the perfect dipping sauce! Secondly onto the sandwiches, which first of all they were some of the most unique chicken sandwiches we have had in the best way! Not only was the chicken fried and had a great crunchy texture to it, the bread also appeared to be fried/crispy. The taste was so good as well, like a flavor explosion with everything complimenting each other perfectly. Such a well made sandwich that I would argue may be near the top of the list when I consider sandwiches I have had. I will certainly be seeking out Sook Thai again and you should as well! Also if you are or become a fan of them in the future they do have plans of opening up a physical location under a different name. It'll be named Paak and will be a salad and smoothie cafe on Congress Street in Portland. But until then I can't wait for my next order of dumplings and crispy chicken sandwich!

Maybe we caught an off night or because it was a little later in the day it wasn't quite as good? Decided to split the mixed taco pack and an order of loaded nachos. The cubano was good but derived most of its flavor from the mustard. The blueberry gojuchang sauce was lost in a sea of purple slaw on the beef and the beef itself had a hard, crusty piece that looked like something that had hardened against the side of the hotel pan it sat in. The burning flower was probably my favorite, and that's coming from a carnivore. Overall, it was a good meal from great people and one I would get again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to find it.

And to make it even better, it is amazing. Although Brazilian food is all about meat, they still thought about the vegetarians. They make some amazing grilled veggies plate and to die for grilled cheese. The cheese bread is also so good. My husband does eat meat and he loves it all, chicken, sausage and specially the steak. I ordered two and, while my partner in crime absolutely LOVED his, I wasn't really a fan. The sandwich comes on a baguette and is filled with a slab of coconut curry marinated tofu, pickled veg (like carrots and radishes), spicy vegan mayo, and cilantro. Unfortunately, my bread was pretty burned - as such, that black toast char was the dominating flavor (and smell). It was also the dominating ingredient as the slab of tofu was much smaller than I was expecting. In the end, I tossed the bread and ate just the tofu and veggies (which, again, I wish there had been more of, and much less of the stems of cilantro). Loved the variety of spices that came from the individual components of the jalapenos, the curry, and the spread though! While I was disappointed in the sandwich I got (especially at $11 when compared to sandwiches of similar prices from other food trucks), I still think they're great. The person taking my order was super friendly, the person making the food was engaging, and their passion to use as much fresh, local ingredients as possible is impressive and appreciated. Also the presentation of their food is stunning, and proves that restaurant quality food can come out of a mobile kitchen. While they might not be my first choice, I definitely appreciate what they're creating and the flavor profiles they're exploring!

The fries were perfectly crisp and seasoned. I was able to share the fries with 2 other coworkers! It's not often that I walk away from a food truck thinking portion sizes align with both the quality and the pricing, but this one nails it. The menu isn't large, but that's because they choose to perfect what they are slinging, putting quality over quantity. Definitely give this place a try... and split the fries!
