They are professional, caring, patient, and always look out for your safety. You don't have to be worried that you are not in 'good enough shape' to do CrossFit, just be willing to start. The programming is balanced and challenging but very scalable to ability- everything can be made doable for anyone at whatever level or shape they walk in the door. The other athletes support and cheer on your effort, it is a friendly and inclusive community. If you are looking to really focus on improving your high level skills the coaches know how to safely and effectively get you to the level you want to achieve. I have seen so many happy PRs from all levels of athletes! The gym is spacious, immaculate, class sizes are great and allow for individual attention, and the equipment is top quality. They also offer nutritional guidance and have a podcast where they talk about all kinds of fitness and fun. The owners and all the coaches are very involved in the culture of the gym, so that along with the amazing members makes it feel like family. People have all kinds of goals and reasons for working out, so when you find a place that can enhance that journey all you have to do is show up and put in the work. Slowly but surely I am crossing off goals with the help of my gym community. I am a much calmer person than I was a year ago, so that's a bonus as well.

That changed when my family and I joined CrossFit SCV in January 2023, and it was one of the best decisions we've made. We started with a free one-week trial, and from the very first day, Coach Curtis was there to guide us through the workouts. The whole community at CrossFit SCV is truly beautiful. All of the coaches are incredibly encouraging, kind, and supportive. They pay close attention to ensure you're working out safely, which really helped me feel confident. It's become a place where I not only get an awesome workout but also come to socialize and unwind. I'm so grateful to be part of such an amazing community. Thank you CrossFit SCV

No one truly GAF about me or my fellow peers. I was offered aluminum foil and batteries by my class mates, I was ridiculed and bullied for 'lying abt my issues' bc I had sexual trauma and a porn addiction (why I was sent there. I was about 16.) Parents, this "treatment center" is here to steal your money and make your kids feel ASHAMED and DISGUSTING about their own bodies and behaviors and disorders. They limit phone calls to 5 minutes on their 'level' system. They limit showers (to wash and bathe and relax) to 5 minutes, no shoe laces, no accessories. Most clothes you have to buy before hand are plain and design less and drive kids to feel without personality or able to express ones self's. I used art to cope-- until it was taken from me. They denied me to use my sketch book, to read, they forced me to go surfing in the cold dark water on Sunday mornings because it was 'healthy' and 'would make me feel better' but all it did was make me panic thanks to my fear of the ocean, I was not allowed to draw anything I wanted when I was in the art program they hired every alternating week. You're not allowed to get your 'special end of treatment goodie' if you didn't make it to level five. I spent months here and only got to level three because the appointments with an actual therapist? Basically once every two weeks. The "therapist" included my stepfather, the same man who sexually assaulted me, in my diagnosis sessions. They told him everything, even though I stated I did not consent to him being included. Because I was "possibly a danger to his sons" because I MIGHT HAVE had BPD (you can't even diagnose that till you're 18!) they put me on medications for unnecessary reasons. I had a panic attack for two hours straight which the next day they claimed I 'faked for attention' because I was a 'raging narcissist who can't get it together'. They proceeded to put me on level one for the last month of my stay. Let's talk about 'levels' - level one, suicide watch. No belts, no shoe laces, no bags in room, no nothing. Barely any privacy. 3-5 minute showers, 3-5 minute calls. (If your parents are divorced good luck, you must split 5 minutes between both of them.) and many more dehumanizing rules. - level two, you get shoe laces! Goodie you! You get to have 6 minute showers at best. Your calls are now 6-8 minutes MAYBE!! - level three, I think you get soda once a week? Calls are like 10 minutes? Showers a bit longer? - level four, soda once or twice a week, you get to choose your spot in the large Escalade van they use to covertly travel you to a beach or maybe get fast food in. You also get to shave once a week with someone watching! Great job! Calls are a bit longer. Showers too. - level five, you get a sweet when you leave, you get soda twice and shaving rights and blow dryer omg!!!!! And you get to sit in the front of the van they use to weirdly travel 5-6 kids to a beach or a horse ranch in! I was consistently denied being able to sit in the middle of the van bc I was the shortest and lowest level despite having motion sickness and the back of the van getting up to 80° Fahrenheit. It made me nauseous each time I got in. I was forced to turn my sleep schedule around, the first day I was there I got 3 hours of sleep, then had to go to a horse ranch, do kick boxing, and school work without even a small nap. Naps were not allowed here, at all. If you needed a nap you had to be VERY ill, and even then they would try and make you get up every 15 minutes. If you're on your period? You still have to do the mile long walk every two hours, which you cannot slow down or sit on, in the heat, with your sweat pants and usually black/barren tee. In the heat. Or the cold. They tried to send me to a wilderness camp, which had numerous reports of rape, assault, and female trafficking and torture, that's when my mom called it quits and took me out. DO NOT GO

They always have an attitude towards you no matter if you're a student or parent. Went in there the other day, a man was asking what he should do to finish high school because he wanted to go to college. Soon as he left all the office ladies started laughing & mocking him for trying to get his education. Very unprofessional. Another thing, if you don't speak english & ask for assistance from someone else they will EXPRESS that it annoys them, and that to me, is very dumb and just weird. They have no respect for the parents and get annoyed when they ask questions about the school or their children. Aside from them, most of the teachers are indoctrinated!!! They will not teach you what you need to be taught, then get upset when you fail an assignment/test. This school hires teachers who don't know how to teach, which makes everything harder for students because they can't learn. (For example: Mr.Baletskii, MSA alg2 teacher, & Mr. Farley, 9th grade eng teacher). Lastly, the principal, Mr.Mike is genuinely so racist towards the latino students & will give the brown students better treatment. (Very common)

~ FLOATING SHAVASANA WAS ABSOLUTELY MAGICAL ~…read more I've always wanted to try aerial yoga, and I'm so glad that my first experience was at the Aerial Studio. I booked the Intro to AIReal Yoga class through ClassPass, with Kristen O' Briant as the instructor. You can either bring your own mat or use one provided by the studio. They offer both aerial and AIReal Yoga classes that use hammocks in the practice. Our class took place in the back of the room, where a beautiful array of hammocks was set up. Kristen was an amazing instructor--she took special care of beginners, ensured we were making safe moves, and offered modifications when needed, all while providing encouragement and still challenging us. As an avid yogi, these hammocks really helped deepen my asanas, and I enjoyed this fresh approach. The highlight for me was the floating shavasana. Normally, I struggle to fully relax during the final shavasana in traditional yoga classes, but this experience was magical. Swaying gently and being cocooned in the hammocks - like a butterfly before it transforms or a baby in a womb - made it the most relaxed I've ever been during shavasana. A couple notes for the studio: during the first half of the class, there was also a children's class happening at the same time. It wasn't too disruptive but did occasionally make it hard to focus and be present. Also, dimming the lights during the final shavasana would enhance the atmosphere as well as show off the beautiful twinkle lights strung above the rafters. I highly recommend this experience and am looking forward to my next class! *HOT TIP: This was my first visit to Pacific View Mall, and I had trouble finding the studio. The studio is located inside the mall and between Old Navy and American Eagle.

What sets Jay apart isn't just his knowledge of golf equipment--although he can talk clubs, shafts, and ball flight for hours. It's his integrity. At no point did I ever feel like I was being pushed into a certain club because of a commission, manufacturer relationship, or sales incentive. His only goal is to find what actually works best for your swing. I've paid significantly more for fittings elsewhere, and I've had clubs built for more than double what Jay charges. Despite that, none of those experiences came close to the value, attention to detail, and results I've received working with him. Once I found Jay, it felt like unlocking a toolbox I never knew I had. The equipment finally matched what I was trying to do, and the confidence that came with that carried over to every part of my game. In the span of a single year, I went from a 15 handicap to a 4 handicap and am now working toward scratch golf. If you're looking for someone who is honest, knowledgeable, passionate about the game, and genuinely invested in helping golfers improve, I can't recommend Jay highly enough. Jay has built every single club in my bag and found mistakes other Club Petters said were built "" to spec this is a hidden gem and I wish more people know about him.
