So call 311, call the unit doing inspection and setup an inspection day if they keep coming when you're not home - when there's enough serious violations city issues that AEP order so you don't even have to go to court. But if you do it's 45$ to file without an attorney and if your lease says you owe them legal fees for a lawsuit there's a law making it reciprocal so they will owe you too if you win. You can start with AI asking if you have the case, then you can request NYC bar referral service to get a 30 min consultation for 35$ or get legalshield app for unlimited consultations on any kind of legal matters.
