Most importantly, he fixed the face-framing pieces I had been unhappy with and gave me a haircut that feels much more flattering and intentional. Kate is AMAZING!! she did my hair and makeup for my wedding last month in March and she did such an awesome job, my hairstyle lasted through the night and my makeup was great! I got so many compliments on them both. I honestly recommend Kate she is very nice, trusting, and professional. She has done my hair before and well I know that if I go to her she will take care of me for sure!!! She is great at what she does, and she will work with you until you are satisfied which is ultimately what people are looking for she knows her stuff and its a bonus that she is just such a great person inside and out....gotta love kate!! Beware of Kate. She mistaken assertiveness for rudeness. If you don't kiss her a** she'll give you a difficult time. Her attitude is ridiculous. Have you ever wonder why there are no poor reviews? She deletes them and threatens the client. One would see poor reviews as constructive criticism. Kate doesn't have the mental capacity to comprehend the meaning of constructive criticism. Tried to set an appointment for hair cut and color. Kate said 10 am Friday was set but with a different stylist named May? Anyway she said $10 deposit to confirm appt THEN she turns around and says $25. What legitimate business that claims to be real not know how much is the deposit. Wow. Never even going to try her or her stylists. Kate left me with a bad taste. She needs to quit this and do open mic in Hollywood. She's a joke. read more

When I first contacted her, we were unable to find a good time for me to meet up with her in San Francisco for a trial appointment since our work schedules conflicted. Instead of letting me go as a client and referring me to someone else, Tara actually went above and beyond and volunteered to drive from San Francisco to Sacramento (where I live) to do the trial run at my house. She didn't even charge me for traveling costs because she felt bad that we could not find a good date for me to go to her in SF for my trial, which I know most artists would normally charge any client for anyway. During the trial, Tara had very clean brushes, high quality makeup and was very detailed and made sure she took her time with perfecting the look I wanted. She also often stopped to ask me if I was okay with the progress of my hair and makeup and gladly made any changes that I requested. She really took her time and never once worried about what time it was or that she would have to leave after the agreed time for the trial. She actually went into overtime but did not charge me for that either and I honestly felt she was more worried about making me happy and giving me the perfect style than to leave on time. She was very talkative and made the trial very fun and comfortable and time seemed to zoom by. Tara showed up on time on the day of my wedding and was really nice and friendly to both myself and the bridal party. She took her time and made sure my mom and bridesmaid looked beautiful (and they were!). I really wanted a natural look and Tara definitely executed that! I loved my hair and airbrush makeup because it lasted all evening long and I did not feel like a clown with heavy makeup nor did I have to retouch anything throughout the evening. The best part about it all was that I still looked like myself and felt she did a flawless job. I was truly happy with my overall look. Tara is extremely laid back and talented and I feel she sees this more as her passion rather than just a job that pays the bills. That's what makes her so awesome! She was so sweet and patient during the trial and wedding day and really did make me feel like every penny spent was worth it. I would definitely recommend her for any future brides and actually look forward to the next opportunity to have her do my hair and makeup again. Her awesome personality, unpretentious persona, and artistist talent cannot be emphasized enough.
