The color was not a proper match to my hair, and I was not given a clear opportunity to review or approve the length before installation. I saw Madison last week for a partial and cut/blowout. I had some lackluster salon experiences in the last two years, but Madison hit the uno reverse on that for me. I was really hoping to live this place since they're much closer to me than my regular hair stylist is. I have very thick, full and curly hair and have been getting bob haircut for the last 10 years. Sheila literally deserves all the love in Los Angeles for the absolute art she did with my extensions. I originally had a consult with her, where I originally wanted hand tied wefts to lengthen and fluff my short cobalt blue hair. I have fine hair (but a lot), so I was worried about damage or tension from the extensions and didn't know what my best option or method would be. Sheila, who was such a ball of light and so much fun to chat with, answered literally every question I had and then some. She went through all the options and explained what would be the best for Me and why, and also how we would maintain my hair health and bleaching my regrowth. She suggested k tips instead for my hair and my goals, and fully explained the pricing and what the maintenance would look like for me if I went that route. Literally was so confident in her I booked my appt for the next week and she ABSOLUTLEY SLAYED. I've been a dead set single tone hair color girlie for so long, but Sheila suggested maybe adding a touch of tonality to me hair to help blend my extensions but also really give my hair the anime/mermaid vibe I wanted. Ima just say if Sheila suggests something, YALL SHOULD LISTENNN!! She knows her stuff and has that real artistic eye, like she saw what I wanted before I even knew. We added some extra tones and some white streaks and I genuinley think I have the hair of my dreams now and am hooked. She was so collaborative and listened to everything I wanted, it really felt like I could trust her with my hair. I also love that she will be real with you if something wont work for you!! That's a huge plus in my opinion. My hair feels fantastic, and Looks AMAZING, I feel like a bratz doll. She was an expert in her application of the bleach, color, and extensions. The bonds for their k tips are a nice small size which is perfect for sensitive scalp/fine hair girlies like myself. On top of everything this salon is so cute, everyone is so sweet, the vibes are fantastic, and the snacks are top tier. I found The Alchemist through a friend and they are the ONLY people in Los Angeles I will trust with my hair- specifically Ruben!!! I went in with tape in extensions from another salon and wanted them switched for long and voluminous extensions that were healthier for my hair. they suggested a hybrid option for me based on my lifestyle and the look I wanted. I got three rows of weft and a row of I-tips and I go in around every 6 weeks for maintenance. I am obsessed with my hair and will never go anywhere else. I even wanted more volume and we are adding another row of itips before an upcoming trip. The vibes are immaculate, Chante the owner is so knowledgeable and accommodating. The space is clean, cute, and up to date. Ruben is amazing with extensions and always gets me right.
