Her rates are as reasonable as you can get in the greater Boston area for this caliber of photography. She was everything you want your photographer to be: prompt, energetic, working the whole time, but never making our wedding feel like an elongated, painful photo shoot. She wrangled the wedding party photos- including lots of little kids- with ease; she shot the most gorgeous photos of me and my husband and still had us up at our cocktail hour in as brief an amount of time as possible. At one point we wanted to use a few balloons that my ring bearer had carried, but they were tied to a bench and she said and I quote: "I will gnaw them off with my teeth if I have to" DEDICATED and hilarious, she was a perfect fit for us. It's important to note that on your wedding day, you and your spouse spend quite a bit of emotionally charged time with your photographer- the moments just before and after you've made a BIG giant commitment to each other. We were able to look at each other and simply absorb it all and she captured images of this without being intrusive in the least. She put us at ease and made us feel comfortable- which is completely priceless in a wedding situation. She also had a preview up for us in ONE day. In one day we had a gorgeous slide show of some of her best shots. And her turn around time for the totality of the wedding photos is usually around 8-12 weeks, depending on how busy a time of year it is. To give a little perspective- some of the more expensive photographers in Boston and the South Shore don't get you your photos for a YEAR. Who wants to wait that long? They are the most exciting photos of your life- you want em soon! Sara is amazing- book her now, before she gets too expensive, because what I see happening for her is that her business will blow up and she will be one of the Boston area's most sought after wedding photographers- with good reason! Then I stumbled across Sara's photoblog. It was obvious that she had talent. From her blog it appeared that she'd been a professional photographer for several years shooting primarily child/maternity/family sessions and was only recently breaking into shooting weddings. At the time she'd only shot one or two weddings but the results were fantastic. So I shot her an email to see about an engagement shoot. Not only did the photos for the engagement shoot turn out great but my fiance and I both felt very comfortable with her. She's sarcastic and has a great sense of humor like us so we were immediately at ease, and it shows in the photos. She was great with the turn around time, basically had them completely touched up and edited in the exact time she'd stated it would take. Since then she's done some more weddings and the photos posted on her website/photo blog demonstrate consistent high quality talent. Once we received our digital proofs we immediately decided we were going to sign on with her for the wedding. Due to some problems with my limo service, the ceremony started an hour late...which made everything else start late. A large portion of the pictures I had hoped for at the church and the reception had to get cut out of the schedule, but Mike was able to get some really beautiful pictures in the time we had. During the reception, he went around with my bridesmaid to make sure I had the pictures I had wanted, and patiently waited while we gathered friends and cousins for some group shots. Prior to the photo shoot: I had some difficulty understanding the instructions provided by the high school as to the size (pixels) necessary for the yearbook. Warren went out of his way to contact both the high school and Jostens (yearbook) to get the specifics. This took the stress off of me since I had no idea what to ask (being unfamiliar with graphic design terms). During the photoshoot: The outside location at Green Hill Park, Worcester (they suggested) was perfect. We had a variety of shots with different shirts and scenery. The shots portrayed my son's personality very well. After the photoshoot: Not being computer savvy, I was having difficulty selecting photos from the software program. I called Warren and he took me through the process, step by step. Again, easing my frustration. The disc that he made for the school's use was hand delivered to me and professionally labeled with the instructions right on the disc. My photos arrived in a carefully wrapped and boxed package within 3 days of me placing my order. I was pleasantly surprised with such quick delivery.
