Kate's County Cousins Baby Strawberry Sundae
    Diane H.

Speedy service with a smile offering cones, specialty sundaes, milkshakes , blizzards, banana splits and floats.I ordered the baby strawberry sundae for $3.95 and at that price it was a great deal. The sundae was tasty with the right amount of strawberries and whip cream.

Free Father's Day sundae for the hubbs! He ate it too fast for a pic! :-D

This review is for the ice cream window side of Kate's Country Cousins. We stopped by yesterday, after seeing on their Facebook feed that dad's received a free small sundae for Father's Day. The hubbs went with a small sundae with caramel and apple. It was a nice little sundae size, good if you want a small sweet-fix but are watching your portions. I had a kiddie-sized vanilla soft serve with peanut butter dip. We both liked the vanilla soft serve in our picks, very creamy and tasty. My peanut butter dip topping was flavorful too, tasted like authentic peanut butter. Our kids each got a hard-scoop cone, our son cookies and cream and our daughter the only vegan option on the menu, an oatmilk cookies flavor. Both were typical hard-scoop ice cream, fresh and good enough. The ice cream window staff were very friendly, and kept the line moving. There are several picnic tables. Prices were reasonable with the typical going rate at most ice cream shops now; cones were about $3, and up to $5+ for the mack-daddy size. There isn't a ton of variety here (especially compared to Pink Cow in Alden, which is less than ten minutes down the same road), and definitely not a place for an abundance of non-dairy vegan or other dietary restriction options (again, Pink Cow has TONS of these options). But to cash in on the free dad's sundae, it was a nice ride and stop for the fam' at a cute country store. The other half of Kate's is an open-air farm-fresh produce shop, with some other local products. When we're passing by again, and free ice cream is not the mission, I'd like to poke around the cute fresh fruits and veggies store-side of Kate's. Thanks for the kind Dad's Day treat for my hubbs! :-D

    Beautiful Flowers

The staff was friendly and so kind to me and my children. The kids got to pick out some flowers to plant in the garden at home. And then we got some ice cream. They have so many flavors to choose from. This place is kid friendly and pet friendly. They even have pup cups for free my golden lab had one and enjoyed it. I would of recommend this to anyone. They also have great fruit and versions

Back at one time, you had so many choices it was shoulder to shoulder traffic. The prices no longer show any value to cause you to come here. Honestly you can shop at Price rite and Walmart, and see that their vegetables and fruit are cheaper.

I go here for all my annuals, and all my herbs that I grow. I used to buy veggie plants, too, but now I just focus on flowers and herbs. Their selection is wonderful, and they are always fully-stocked. They have tons of plants, and several different vendors. Good news is, the prices are basically the same so there's no need to shop around- but some vendors focus more on one thing than others. There's the herb and vegetable plant seller, and the one that focuses more on flowers. Then the one in the back sells everything- but they each have their own unique items. I try to purchase form everyone to spread the wealth. There is a vendor who has a "farmers market" but it's not a real farmers market. They are selling food that you get at supermarkets- produce form California, Mexico, et. They are NOT selling local farm stand items, so if you want a farmers market experience where you support your local farmers- DO NOT buy form this one. This is my really big negative gripe about this place. The parking lot is also atrocious!! there are more potholes, crumbling asphalt, and dips than there is smooth pavement! I have to drive 5mps through the whole place! They could use a new parking lot - it's really bad. There's also a flea market of sorts in the far back that is there sometimes, not other items- I went to look once, but it seemed like a lot of junk, and nothing I was interested in. I will say this place is an odd mix of things, but the flower vendors for my garden are irreplaceable, an I will always com here to stock my garden every year!
