The menu is designed as a sharing menu with a wide variety of choices-vege, fish and meat. And the size of the offerrings range from snack to a dish that is large enough for one person to enjoy as a full meal. We chose the trout, crab salad, spiced cauliflower (really good), sea bream (delish), and crispy haddock (nice). I chose the salt baked beatroot for my dessert-flavorful and not too sweet. My wife had the chocolate cremeux that she really loved. Our server was such a friendly person and her way of communicating definitely added good feelings to our experience. It was graduation time for the University of Glasgow and we saw many families with their students. For me, that's a really good sign. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Their menu boasts that everything is "freshly made on the premises" which is evident from the industrious staff chopping veg in the open plan worktop behind the counter. There's a huge variety of food available here, from savoury scotch pies to healthier options such as baguettes - all for under two pounds. Cakes are just as cheap but tasty, with caramel shortcake on the menu! What's more, teas and coffees are all under a pound and Briggs 2 Go is possibly the only place left in the UK that sells Walkers crisps for less than 40 pence. I've fortunately never been when it's busy but I've never been sure where you're supposed to queue. They recently had the counter done up and they have a counter for the cakes/cold rolls and a seperate counter for hot foods i.e. pasties/hot roll choices. I just go to the hot counter, they have a minimum selection of toasties, soup but normally have an ok variety of hot rolls and pasties. The cakes always look so delicious, the strawberry tarts are huge, to be honest most of the cake are massive. Me thinks they've been putting something in them to grow, just like when you get bizarre and ginormous cucumbers. When you go to Greggs it is your standard production line size but these come with the bumps, lumps and well out of shape. Just the way I like a cake. The clientele is normally old ladies have their afternoon tea but if you fancy a wee coffee break and cake pop in for a giant squiffy cake.
