My sisters and I hired Suzy Q Photography to travel to our location and do a full photo shoot with…read moreour immediate family and extended family (about 20 people: 5 families ranging in age from 9 to 88 years old). It was a 40th anniversary present for our parents that was so memorable and fun! Sara, the owner and photographer, was amazing. She came with ideas, props, and help! Throughout the session, Sara was able to capture the personalities of each person through all the various poses and groupings, which if anyone has ever tried to photograph families - this can be a challenge. She was very reasonably priced and well worth it. Once we finished the shoot, she posted a "sneak peak" of our photos on her Facebook page for us to see and had the photos edited quicker than I ever thought. Her specialty is working with smaller shoots (babies, children, smaller families), but she did a really great job with a very large group. We did a few different poses with the large group, some that were far away on a beautiful stone bridge; one closer up; one where a few of us were behind various trees and peaking around; and one where each family was "clumped" together, but with a few feet between the next grouping. Very creative, different, and all of them turned out so good. We also did photos with individual families and people. I have been to her personal studio before prior to hiring her and she has some amazing options for back drops, props, and even has great outdoor surroundings if you did a session at her studio. Sara is very thoughtful and patient during her sessions. She takes your needs and wants to heart and is willing to try new things. We had a sense of what groupings we wanted to have photographed, which was helpful for such a big group and all of this was decided upon prior to the session - for costs purposes as well. I would highly recommend working with her and would hire her again any second of the day! I also know she has had a couple photographs published, which is pretty cool as well.

Read reviews here and under her previous business name "Hannah Kidd Photography" prior to booking…read more I booked a session under a promotion before I looked at reviews. My mistake. My critique is about responsiveness, quality, and professionalism. When we arrived, the pictures were being done in the back room of a basement apartment with all the props scattered in various states of being packed for a move to a new studio which we were not told of prior to arriving (I will say her new studio looks nice). The session went great, but hectic because we also had our two other little children with us (which I don't recommend and may have skewed the environment a little). She was very nice and personable. I was hopeful that the reviews were wrong. The issues arose afterward. I didn't receive the pictures until about 2 months afterward which is a long time for newborn photographs, especially when people are usually waiting on them to send birth announcements. I would have been OK with this had I been told upfront it would take that long. I tried several times to contact her through email and text with no response. I finally received a response after commenting through social media. She apologized and said she would send them the next day. A week later and 2 more emails, I still hadn't received them. I finally sent an email asking for the pictures or a refund. That is when I got them. She was apologetic and referenced personal reasons for the delay. I was generally disappointed with the pictures, mainly family shots, which is what I'd initially told her was important to me when I signed up for the session. Most of the pictures were very dark and required re-editing on my part which is upsetting to have to do after paying $$$. I did tell her this after receiving them and [shockingly] got no response. Overall, she excelled at 2 newborn poses in my session and from social media posts I've seen. The rest didn't give me the excitement that professional photos typically do. Her prices are more affordable than others, but there's a reason for that. She's nice in person but is difficult to get in touch with after the session. She does have potential to become great with more experience, a new studio, and better communication. Hire at your own risk. Results might be unpredictable based on my experience and previous reviews. Ask for a contract.

And thankfully she did a great job, although the 2nd photographer she brought with her was completely rude. We waited and waited and FINALLY after repeated calls, emails, delays & one excuse after another, we got the photos online. The printed photos were not quality. She ordered through Shutterfly! Really? Then the PROMISES of the 2 canvases we were supposed to receive....NEVER RECEIVED THEM. Now she has blocked my daughter from getting ahold of her. Absolutely UNPROFESSIONAL. So sorry we ever hired her. DO NOT trust any special event to her. Unbelievably disappointed and disgusted with her lack of professionalism.

After selecting our photos about 1 - 2 months went by with zero communication. During this time we assumed things were moving along. After reaching out to Town we learned that his "hard drive had crashed". So if he has given you this same sob story you can forget about your photos. When the amount for the wedding was adding up, we asked our wedding planner to help us find a photographer for a great price, in which she did. Town came at a rate of $999.00 for engagement photos and 3 hours of wedding imagery. Upon our first sit down with Town he broke out this incredible photo album that my wife instantly fell in love with. He said he could place our top selected photos in this album, and he would also include 3 albums into the package. Initially Town was great with communication. We discussed with him in detail the vision for our day, and how we desired for our reception to be a "red carpet" event. We discussed with him that we wanted himself and maybe 2-3 junior photographers there on the red carpet snapping away as our guest entered. Days leading up to the wedding we were reassured, "I got it, no problem". To date if this gentlemen says, "no problem" it normally means problem! It was later revealed that some of our guest were pulled to be the paparazzi. In which in a way it was fun to some but inconvenient to others. Either way, it wasn't apart of the plan. One additional junior photographer did attend. I could go on and on about Town negative communication and bad attitude as if the customer is an inconvenience to him. Bottom line is do yourself a favor. If you can afford it, it's well worth spending an extra 2-300 bucks to get yourself a dependable photographer. 14 months later and we do not have an album nor our extra $400.00 refunded that we gave him for this "exuberant" photo album.
