Raj was so warm and welcoming. He even asked me how things went at school for my son - I had called and said I would be delayed picking up my order because I had to suddenly go to my son's school. The friendliness I was welcomed with was refreshing. Now for the food: samosas are homemade, crispy outside and tasty filling. The sauce was both sweet and spicy, just like I like it. The chicken tikka was also delicious, substantial sauce and full of flavor. I had it with plain rice and butter naan. The naan was grilled fresh. Raj also let me sample the lamb curry. I will order that the next time I go. The lamb melted in my mouth and the curry was incredible. Chicago's North Side has a lot of Indian restaurants. Once you go towards the south suburbs, the options get thin. Now that I live in one of the Far South Suburbs, I wanted some Indian food. Samosa King was one of the closest restaurants, so I tried it out. I ordered channa bhatura. Love the channa masala, and the bhatura was just what I needed so that I could eat with my hands. I also ordered paneer tikka masala, which was also tasty. Usually, rice comes with each. That may be per restaurant. Nevertheless, I cooked some brown rice to go with what I ordered. New location at 183rd St. west of Harlem Avenue in Tinley Park. Butter Chicken was good, not too spicy. The Chicken Saag STOLE THE SHOW! We ordered mild but it was so flavorful. Garlic Naan = yummy. Samosas were spicy & the sauce they provided did a great job taming any heat & adding good flavor. The Biryani rice was very nice. Carryout & dine-in are options, so even carryout offers a good date night back at home if you prefer that. The people were very friendly taking the order & during pickup. We WILL be back. I passed this place 3x before I realized it's attached to the gas station. Very small establishment, there are about 6 tall stools at the small window ledge. I only picked the Samosas and Naan Bread and both were delicious!!! Once I look up the rest of the items on the menu to determine what dish to try, I'll definitely be back. This place was.... Chefs kiss. Staff was super friendly and explained things to us (first time trying butter chicken and chicken tikka). They were extremely helpful and you can tell the chefs cook with love in every bite. We got rice and garlic naan on the side to accompany the meal. We have enough for leftovers. It's great finding another dependable Indian takeout place close to home. I love Tandoori House but Samosa King is good too. I think I liked the naan a bit more here, it's very special. :) I got chicken saag, which I don't believe I've ordered before and now it's one of my favorites. It's hard to go wrong with chicken and spinach (unless it's your middle school lunch), but this was really good. It definitely had some black salt in it as part of the chicken seasoning. We also got palak paneer, a couple samosas, and this chickpea thing I love and always forget the name of. For take out Indian, this is delicious every time. Today tried Chicken Saag, Nan & Samosa's. This was the first time for chicken Saag and it was so delicious, so flavorful. Much easier to eat in the car, which we normally do because we have no Indian in Bourbonnais The samosas are always delicious. I wish they had the separate chutneys the red and green, but they do a combination, which is fine. Place is a treat. Limited menu, which inspires confidence, personally. No need to cater to everyone: do what you're good at and stand behind it. It effectively consists of a few chicken dishes, choles, a pav bhaji, and of course, samosas. There's cooler full of imported Indian sodas, too, which is not a common thing to stumble upon in the States. I regret not trying a Thums Up, especially so after reading the story behind its inception. Worth noting that the address provided here and elsewhere is accurate. From the minute we walked in the staff was very friendly and inviting, helped us figure out how the menu worked. we ordered butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, 2 sides of rice, and 2 extra orders of garlic naan and a strawberry lassi. it took about 20 minutes for the food to come out and we ate inside. The food was so so good I highly recommend to anybody who likes Indian food and is skeptical about trying new places. Good for new Indian food eaters too. First of all the owner Raj welcomed us in like we were family members! My sister is kind of new to Indian food, so he took the time to recommend some dishes to her and even prepared a sample for her. The family that runs the place is so welcoming and happy to answer questions. Now the food is amazing. It was our first time here so we ordered quite a bit! Food was very tasty, loved the butter chicken but can't tell if it comes with white rice because menu descriptions are very sparse. Paid fir an order of plain white rice. A little pricey but everything was clearly freshly cooked and very flavorful. The garlic naan was the top dog of our dinner. The biryani rice made for 3 meals. This is an amazing little spot in the south suburbs! Got food here yesterday and it was all delicious! The samosas were perfectly crispy on the outside and stuffed with a well-seasoned interior. Butter chicken was creamy and so so good! Chicken biryani came with large pieces of chicken and a green sauce on the side that complimented it perfectly. And the garlic naan was also very good. Ordered the chicken briyani and omg just nasty . They only give you three pieces of dark meat chicken with the bone still attached. And now my stomach is starting to hurt. The owners are just the sweetest and are always giving me recommendations on food items that I am unfamiliar with.
