Punjabi Thali with Fada Lapsi and Mango Lassi
    Tabitha W.

I was honestly really surprised to find this restaurant. There aren't a ton of Indian restaurants in the region, and this one offers a different type of cuisine than I'm used to seeing and is all vegetarian. I think they need to recognize that most people are unfamiliar with this food and do a little more to help the customer. Not knowing what to expect, I walked into the restaurant and up to the counter and spent a not insignificant time staring at the menu. My husband and I took a menu to our seat, but we didn't want to Google every little thing, so we decided to just blindly order the Punjabi Thali ($19.99) and a dessert called the Fada Lapsi ($4.99). We also ordered a Mango Lassi ($4.99) since we're familiar with that. I think that including more descriptions on the menu would be so helpful to guide customers so they can have a better idea of what they're ordering. When our food came out, they did offer an explanation of what everything on our tray was, so this was helpful. If I go back, I'll need to spend more time tracking down a menu from the place and Googling some of the dishes to understand them better. They have been pretty unresponsive on their Facebook page and don't seem to have a website.

Thaal is a great spot for authentic Kathiyawadi food! The thali is super tasty and definitely a must-try. Service is good, and the ambiance is decent and nice -- perfect for a cozy meal with friends or family.

First time coming here with friends and my first time eating Indian cuisine. The worker was really nice and kindly explained every dish and how to eat each item and what it is. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Thaal is our go-to spot for Indian food. The restaurant serves only vegetarian food and specializes in Gujarati cuisine. They offer a great variety, from street food to Thaalis, and we've tried just about every Thaali on the menu. The flavors are consistently good, and the food has a home-cooked quality that's hard to find at restaurants. That said, the Thaali portions are on the smaller side, so it may not be enough for one person. Despite that, the quality keeps us coming back. If you're looking for Indian food, this is definitely a spot worth trying.

I'm thrilled to write the first review and get more business for this brand new restaurant that sits on the site of what used to be an Indian grocery store. What could be more American than converting a Gujarati grocery into a Gujarati restaurant? Thaali has a beautiful decor and their speciality, as the name suggests, are thaalis or plates with several servings of different items. It's a great way to gain exposure to Gujarati vegetarian food, which is not too spicy, but has a unique flavor palate. We also enjoyed the namkeen/chaat favorites including the tiered pani puri. The Ghar Thaali, dhokla, and Punjabi Thaali were all delicious and we hope to return!

Real, fresh, authentic cooking by a knowledgeable staff. Charming, colorful setting and furnishings. Great place to explore Indian cuisine. Been there half a dozen times; have never not been impressed with everything we were served. Every staff member I've met has been helpful and friendly. Prices extremely reasonable considering the quality of the food.

Such a hidden gem in The Region. The meal was fresh and delicious. The staff is very attentive and courteous. Any questions about the menu was answered. I wasn't sure about something they made suggestions. The place is simple but very nice decor.

WE ORDER Kathiyawadi Thali AND Dal Bati Churma ...both are very good Must Try !!!!

We ordered Kathiyawadi Thali and Dal baati churma and guess what we just love it also they have the best people around there ....Too Good ...

Authentic, friendly, tasty, well-balanced, and a much-welcomed addition to an area somewhat lacking in vibrant cuisine and flavors. Thank you, Thaal.

I came in for breakfast and left wishing I hadn't. The food was honestly hard to get through cold,…read morepoorly cooked, and lacking any real flavor. For a breakfast spot, that's a big miss. The staff made it worse. Service was rude, unorganized, and it felt like we were an inconvenience just for being there. No greeting, no check-ins, no urgency at all. On top of that, the restaurant itself was dirty. Tables weren't wiped down, floors looked neglected, and overall it just didn't feel clean or welcoming, which makes you question what's going on behind the scenes. There are way too many good breakfast places out there to waste your time here. I won't be back.

I had high expectations based on reading some of the reviews, but was disappointed in a few…read morethings...the food, the service, and how LOUD it is inside this place. I ordered the Brisket Hash and Eggs - it also comes with either toast or pancakes - I chose the pancakes, which actually was the best choice and best food I had. The coffee is also pretty good. Bold and HOT. The Brisket Hash is served in a smaller cast-iron dish on your plate. It's super dry. I think it's mixed with some hashbrowns and onions and some spices. But it was way too dry and didn't taste like smoked brisket, so if you were hoping for that taste of brisket, this isn't the right choice. It also comes with eggs and I had them over easy, other than still a little runny and not cooked through, they were okay. The pancakes were the best though. Super soft, comes with butter (on the side) plus syrup and a small tiny cup of applesauce (tasty). They had good flavor and was perfect. Someone at our table also ordered the Biscuit and Gravy. It's a super large flaky biscuit (way too dry) and some dark sausage gravy that tasted more like flour than sausage gravy. It was definitely thick, but the flavor was off. We did not finish it. Others at our table got just eggs, bacon and toast. Something you can make at home anyway, so it's hard to mess it up honestly. And one other person ordered the greek salad. The dressing comes ON the salad already, and it felt like they could have served some extra on the side. Just wasn't enough. Plus the salad was served on a plate, not in a bowl, so salad and toppings fell off onto the table. Not the prettiest presentation. In fact, the theme of this place is - everything is served on a separate dish, so good luck finding space on your table. Plus I feel the prices are way higher than they should be for the portion size and quality of food. The other issue here is that this place is LOUD. Someone in our group uses hearing aids and they had to turn them down because it was way too loud. we could hardly have a normal conversation and there were just five of us at a long table. The chairs are another issue I feel. As you scoot in and away from the table, it feels like the legs are going to break from underneath you at any point. They are wobbly, and very uncomfortable. So, in closing, I wanted to LOVE this place, but it's just an overpriced brunch location with a large two-sided menu of bland food with the loudest rooms imaginable.
