I've come in person on 3 separate occasions. The first time I got the goat biryani. The other two times I've come in I've got the lamb biryani. They are hearty portions. The food is savory and just the right amount of spice for me. Where I sweat a little bit but the spice isn't overwhelming. Sometimes I get a cranberry juice. Service is good. Sometimes when my girlfriend and I are staying in we order delivery from this place. The quality holds up and it arrives to us hot and delicious.

After reading the reviews on Google Maps and Yelp, I've landing on Tandoori House Indian Cuisine in the Tinley Park neighborhood. It's my first time trying Indian food, and Tandoori House did not disappoint. Upon arrival, you must stand in the same line as the patrons getting carry-out orders. I can imagine depending on the day of the week and time of day, this can be a very slow process. We arrived on a Saturday night around 7pm, and waited about 20 minutes to be seated.  The clerk at the desk was handling multiple tasks. Once seated, we were able to order right away, however the food did take a while to come out, approximately 20 minutes before our appetizer arrived. I checked out the menu before arriving, and had an idea of what I wanted. Thankfully the menus explained all the ingredients for each course, and our hostess asked for our spice level preference.  Since it was my first time eating Indian food, I looked for foods that were different, but familiar. Everything was delicious and flavorful.  The portion sizes are huge. I had left overs for two days! Whether you're a longtime fan of Indian cuisine or just exploring something new, Tandoori House offers a warm and inviting space that feels like a home away from home.

Wow! The Indian food at Tandoori House is so delicious! My husband and I tried the Tandoori whole chicken, Chicken Tiki Masala and Chicken Soup. All the food was cooked to perfection! We will definitely be coming back soon to try the Butter Chicken and other dishes that they highly recommend. I can say that Tandoori House lives up to its high ratings.

One of my favorite restaurants in the area! Fresh ingredients. Friendly service. I always get the lamb pasanda, mild....basmati rice and an order of naan bread. I need to try some of the other items..lol

The restaurant was clean and the staff was very nice. The food was mid. It was good enough to go again, but not necessarily rave worthy. Obviously good fresh because it took a bit, but that was totally okay with us. The paneer tikka masala sauce was amazing, the paneer was a bit too firm for my liking. The lamb biriyani was quite tasty...order that one for sure. The roti lacked flakiness - layers were too tight, but it was tasty enough we ate it all.

This place is awesome! An unassuming, stip mall restaurant that will blow your mind if you enjoy Indian food! We have put this on our short list of places we will be going to frequently! The servings are large enough that we both had some amazing leftovers for the next day. Just as good day 2! Great job, Tandoori House! We can't wait to go back!

Great food! Came here on a Friday night with a group of 4 and were seated right away. They started us with some crunchy cracker-like appetizer and 2 dipping sauces. The menu is large and they have a nice variety of dishes. I had the tandoori shrimp which came on a piping hot skillet (kind of like fajitas) with onions. The portion was very generous and the shrimp were huge and very delicious. They had a nice smoky flavor. Our table also shared the tandoori veggies which included a mix of broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes, onions, and peppers as well as garlic naan that was perfect for sharing. The service was great and the wait for the food was worth it as you can tell that it is all made fresh.

Blew me away wow. Food was so good can't even believe it. So succulent and shit. Jesus Christ I'm gonna convert to Hinduism after this and move to New Delhi.

I visit family a few times a year and have struggled to find reliable places (or really any), especially for Thai and Indian. Well, this new restaurant changes all of that. The food is delicious, and very fresh. It has some unique flavor profiles but they are more complex than expected. I got the Lamb Vindaloo and it had a more rich and interesting mix of ingredients than I have found elsewhere. One good test too is if you feel good afterwards as some places use oils instead of onions for the base. This place passes on all fronts. The rice and naan were decent as well. I was told that the spice index was (2=mild, 5=medium, 7=hot). I ordered a 6 and it was pleasantly spicy/hot. I have a feeling that 7 is "white guy hot" and if you really like it spicy and can handle ethnic levels of spice, 8-10 is probably there for you if requested. The place was basically empty and other reviewers have mentioned how quiet it is. I came on Monday night and it had been raining, so I wasn't expecting much of a crowd. A few takeout drivers came in. The service was excellent and friendly and informative. The atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. It is very basic/functional with a little bit of decoration. Lots of seating. The south side doesn't have a lot of great buildings with character and many are more "strip mall" like, and I can appreciate that it would be a bit hard to make it look that great. Overall a definite 5 stars and I will come back again in the future.

One thing that really stood out to me was that the bathroom actually had hot water. You'd be surprised how many restaurants don't. The gentleman who took my order was friendly, helpful, and gave great recommendations. Great customer service can make a good meal even better. I ordered the chicken biryani, samosas, roti, and lamb saag, and everything was flavorful and well-prepared. Then the owner's son asked us to try a dish he created called **Butter Chicken Fries**. Let me tell you... those fries were absolutely delicious! The combination of crispy fries and rich, flavorful butter chicken was a winner. I would order them again in a heartbeat. This visit was takeout, but after this experience, I'll definitely be dining in next time. Between the cleanliness, friendly service, and amazing food, Samosa King earned a return visit from me. If you're looking for authentic Indian food with a few creative twists, I highly recommend giving Samosa King a try. We ordered a chicken curry, chicken biryani, and lamb Rogan Josh. Chicken curry tasted great, chicken biryani had good flavor except it tasted sweet which we did not like, and lamb rogan josh was a solid 4/5 (better than most). We ordered couple garlic naan and a cheese naan. Only issue I have is that complimentary rice should come with curries. The space is inviting and comfortable, easy to settle into. Service was exceptionally friendly. We were warmly welcomed and had a lovely conversation with Sara, the owner, which added a personal and heartfelt touch to the evening. Our party of four included a vegetarian and someone with gluten-free needs, and both were accommodated effortlessly. Always a sign of a thoughtful kitchen. We started with Aloo Paneer Tikki and Papdi Chaat, both excellent. The tikki was crisp and satisfying, and the chaat had that perfect mix of textures and tangy brightness. For mains, we shared Chicken Vindaloo, shrimp curry, Chicken Biryani, Mutter Aloo, and vegetable fried rice, all accompanied by warm, soft, slightly crisp butter naan. Everything was beautifully presented, well prepared, and balanced in spice without overwhelming the palate. And then... the cocktails. My friend and I ventured into margarita territory, one spicy and one with ginger, both crafted so well that we immediately ordered a second round. No regrets. If I had one small wish, it would be for music that leans more into the cultural experience. A sitar in the background or even Bollywood scenes on the screens would add an extra layer of immersion. That said, the American music playing was tasteful and unobtrusive. If you're in the suburbs and craving good Indian food with warm hospitality, this is your place. We'll definitely be back.
