    Ribeye with mushrooms

I am so glad my bf and I decided to have dinner at Kathie and Glenn's Sizzling Steaks. When we arrived, there were a few other groups in the restaurant, not crowded at all. And I happen to like the 2000s Pop music they were playing in the background. We were tended to almost immediately as they weren't busy. We didn't take long to try and figure out what we wanted as we knew we wanted steak! If you're the type of person who enjoys taking 15-20 minutes having to read through a 4-page menu, this is not that place. The menu was simple and straight to the point, which we liked a lot. They focused on what they excelled at and thats exactly what we got! We both got the ribeye and it came out on a sizzling plate topped with sauteed mushrooms. It was tasty, perfectly seasoned, and mouthwateringly delicious. It was so juicy that my bf went home with some of it on his shirt. And let me tell you about the apple pie a la mode!!! Good god! It was so ridiculously good! It's definitely a must try. Kathie and Glenn's is only 2.5 miles away from our house and after tonight's dinner, it just became our "Go To Steakhouse". But with how flavorful and satisfying our meal was it would still be our "Go To" even if it was 25 miles away. We will most definitely be coming back!!

This is sort of like a divey place. It looks kind of like a dark, old diner inside. The booths are old and it even smells kind of old inside. I wasn't sure what to make of the place when I went inside. It was better than I expected! The fried onion was awesome. It's akin to the bloomin' onion at Outback except 50000x better. It's not greasy, tasty and perfectly crisp. I would go there just for this. Another awesome thing is the sangria! I read on Yelp that the sangria is awesome and everyone is right. It was the perfect, perfect sangria. If you drink, definitely give this a try. It's the perfect complement to the meal. As for steaks, I had the sizzling rib eye and my fiance had the NY strip. They were tasty but kind of chewy. It wasn't my favorite steak. I would probably try it again because I liked the flavor of it but didn't like how it was cooked. It could've been a fluke, so I'm willing to come back. I will definitely come back for that sangria though... and that onion. Deliciously awesome stuff.

Kathie & Glen's Steakhouse is the real deal, folks! 5 STAR all the way, from greeting to ordering, service & friendliness,

Kathie & Glen's Steakhouse is the best in the area for authentic Jersey Sizzlin Steaks! 2nd Steakhouse this week & K & G's killed Steve's especially in the "service" category! Kathie & her crew make you feel welcomed & appreciated, you feel it, they "care" The NY Strip was delish, the Filet Mignon steak sandwich was drowning in cheese, peppers, onions & mushrooms. The Italian bread was THE BEST, toasted to perfection, as was the meat. Cooked perfectly! Really, REALLY enjoyed the food, but the service & maybe #1 for me, was the ambience. Felt like old school Jersey and I love that! Miss it, too! Kathie, Buon Natale, may 2019 bring you prosperity! Grazie

Tonight we try out this awesome steakhouse , I could see it on dinner , dives , and drive in show . I had the French onion soup awesome , not load with onion more broth and chesse . Then we had salads and for the main course I had the ten ounce fillet mignon and wife had the ribeye both were on the money ! The hand cut fries were spot on too . The owner glen was a great guy and pleasant to deal with . The decor was bring back to the 70s but very clean . Great food and great service for the money here

Every time we went they were closed or short staffed. Just found out they are closed for good as noted on their outside sign.

Overpriced. Watched them pour orange juice into the "home made" sangria. Steak was dry and over cooked. We found a plastic bag in our salad.

While there isn't exactly an Argentine neighborhood in New Jersey, many great restaurants are…read morelocated in the northern part of the state. Argentine cuisine is a blend of influences from the Italian and Spanish immigrants with its chief national product, beef. They say the reason Argentine steak is so good is that its cattle graze on the country's plentiful pampas grass, rather than being grain-fed as American cattle are. The result is leaner, more flavorful, and more nutritious beef. One such establishment is on Moonachie Road in Moonachie, where my partners, our friends and I decided on Saturday dinner. Reservations were easily made via OpenTable. Upon entering this cozy, modern interior of Tango Steak as first-timers, we were greeted by the host and got a table right away. We were here 3 years ago when it was El Tango Argentina Grill. The vibe has completely changed. It's now darker and louder, not family-friendly. Music was at a decent volume and does seem to increase as it gets later, giving it a lounge type. As an appetizer, we started with Beef and Chicken Empanadas as well as Calamares (Calamari). For our main meal, we decided on the Extrana (Skirt Steak) with Mashed Potatoes & Chimichurri Sauce and Tango Burger accompanied with Fries. Food was good, not awesome. Our appetizers were tasty and well seasoned. The Skirt Steaks tasted fantastic with the Chimichurri Sauce. The Mashed Potatoes had a nice texture. However, some of us asked that their Tango Burgers be made medium but came out well done. The Fries were salty and very dry. Our service was horrendous, but our server was Nathaly who was accommodating and apologetic. Some of us had gotten their appetizer faster than others. The duration between our appetizers and the main meal was an hour. The food was not cheap given the portions received and the 20% gratuity added automatically to the bill. With insult to injury, their valet attendant charged $5. Definitely not what we expected, which is why we sadly can't recommend this place.

I have been craving a dry aged steak for awhile now. This is the kind of steak you can't get at your local supermarket or even your neighborhood butcher. So to the trusty web I turned and in Google I found a couple options. I narrowed my selection down to StrassBurger Steaks. Their website had the goods a Foodie Father like me was looking for. With a lineage of over 150 years in the Steak business how could this selection not be the right one? I turned to my trusted advisor in these matters (YELP,) and to my surprise StrassBurger had only 1 review with 1 star and to top it off, the reviewer lives in the same state and city. Now this reviewer, from what I could tell was on a similar mission as me. The negative part of their review had to do with the delivery of the goods (from the minimal critique offered) so I did what every loyal Yelp user would do, I backed out. But I couldn't get those images out of my head. Those steaks looked so good! I searched around my local area to satisfy my craving. Alas I only found what I would describe as mediocre offerings, it was then I decided I was going to give StrassBurger Steaks a shot. I placed my order for bone-in rib steaks and a tomahawk. I made sure I would be at home to receive the delivery, like junky waiting for a fix. 16 hours later my doorbell sang the sweet songs of a FedEX delivery. I tore into the package like a child on Christmas morning, eager to inspect the goods. To my surprise, or should I say my joy, the steaks were a cool 40.0 °F a mear 8.0 °F from freezing. I know because I used a digital meat thermometer to check, since the previous review stated the warmth of the goods, but in my case everything was perfect! So with the goods in hand, I was off to the next stage in my plan. How to cook these bad boys? I decided I would go the extra step and do some reading. For the meal I came up with: * Simply seasoned with sea salt and pepper * Sear the steaks on the BBQ to get a nice crisp crust to seal in the juices * Finish them off in the oven in an old cast iron pan * Add sides Hasselback potato and garlic butter sauteed Porcini mushrooms * Homemade Bearnaise sauce I am starting to salivate while I write this as the memories of endorphins being released come flooding back. To get to the point, these were in fact the best steaks I HAVE EVER MADE. I like to think it's the attention to the details, but I can't take all the credit. Each bite of steak literally melts in my mouth. When you have such a solid base to start with, you really can't go wrong. I can without a doubt recommend ordering steaks from StrassBurger and have recommended these fine purveyors of bovine bliss to my friends and family. Like with all things in life I am glad I went this my gut instinct here and placed this order. Had I just gone with the single bad review, I would have missed out on one of the best steak dinners I have ever had. I could honestly say these steaks were on point with fancy steak houses like Ruth Chris and would order again without hesitation. Attached are photos of my journey. Happy Fathers day!

My son's girlfriend hates complaining during the meal because is afraid her food will get spit in or some other tampering if she complains. I didn't order mushrooms and I don't eat anything cooked with mushrooms. I hate mushrooms, they are a fungus that grows in dark damp moldy places. Not my kind of veggie! I had ordered a side salad. So I didn't eat the medallions, or mushrooms or get the side salad. Because it upsets my son's girlfriend I decided not to say anything. We had a large group, and they seated us at 2 separate and crowded tables in the side room, which was less than ideal (with a reservation). It also got really hot because the room was packed. They were pushing us to order everything family style, but everyone wanted to order individually. The two of us weren't super hungry, and asked for our entrees to be on a separate check before ordering, which they would not do. Since I knew we were going to end up splitting the check with the one table, I ended up getting a more expensive entree to make up for the apps and drinks we weren't having (I already had a drink from the bar and my husband doesn't drink). I settled on the special lobster carbonara (which I think was $75). Good, but overpriced. My husband had the filet mignon - it was cooked as requested but we prefer more seasoning. A friend passed her grilled scallops over to us to finish - I took one bite and it tasted like ammonia. I discreetly spat it out. For her sake, I hope the rest didn't taste like that. The atmosphere was loud and hard to have conversations. They did a conga line around the restaurant later in the evening. Not really my scene. Service was slow and it didn't seem like they could handle big groups, even when split up. We ended up staying here for about 3 hours. We ended up leaving before we were even offered dessert. As an entree the Seafood in a spicy red sauce was easily one of the best I have had in a very long time. There was a generous amount of seafood within the dish, the sauce I swear I could just drink it out of a cup and the pasta was cooked perfectly. My husband got the bbq ribs which I didn't try but you could see how they just slid right off the bone and he couldn't stop talking about how good they were. We ended our meal with some strong espresso. I enjoyed how it is a very casual atmosphere with a nice bar area that had a few TVs to watch some sports games. No need to dress to impress. The service was a little bit on the slower side but the waitress was very nice.
