I had a major medical issue in April. Thankfully my issue can be handled by medications. After I left the hospital, I established my primary care with Dr. Leung and (of course) asked him to take over managing my five meds. Well, since then it has been an ongoing giant hassle to manage my meds. Just about every month, there's another problem getting my refills. The team fumbles that simple task over and over again. It doesn't feel like they're on my side to help me medically at all.

I've had physicals in the past so I know how they go. There was nothing out of the ordinary in this one. They took my blood, listened to heartbeat, did reflexes, etc. I finished and was sent on my way. 2 weeks later I surprisingly receive a bill and it appears that my insurance didn't cover anything at all, despite insurance supposedly covering annual check-ups. I call their billing dept. and was told that since I mentioned having more headaches than normal, it was an office visit rather than an annual checkup? Wtf? I've had physicals in the past where they ask how I'm doing and I tell them honestly and have never been billed. I ask why wasn't I told during my check in, and the person on the phone says that the medical assistant tried to called me but couldn't reach me and so they changed it without my knowledge and consent. If I had known that I was going to get charged for bringing up a topic I COULD LITERALLY GOOGLE, I would have never came in. Procedures for a physical were also conducted so why isn't that also there in the notes? Very sus and super opaque by my standards. They also said that the doctor told me during the exam but that's a lie, because I would have left immediately. What incentive does a doctor have to tell you that you'd be billed for something, when they get paid for it? It seems like this clinic doesn't give two hoots about the actual health of their patients and are just out for your money. I had multiple calls trying to talk to someone who could do something about this, but all they said was that "we can't change it because the service was provided". So, if I go in, and they give me something I never asked for, I'm billed? I'm out $400, because of negligence and a lack of effort to try to do the right thing. These people are horrible and don't care about you. Also keep in mind that you must lie to your doctor during physicals if there's anything wrong, because if you tell the truth, they'll bill you. Doesn't make a lot of sense, does it?

She answered all my questions and provided suggestions for supporting my son. We've gone to other pediatricians and she was the first pediatrician that had patience and empathy for my toddler son that gets scared of doctor's offices. She let him put the stethoscope on his chest, and she pointed to him where to put it. She had light up toys to distract him and let him play with. I've never had a doctor that prepared or patient. We will continue going to Flourish Family Medicine. There were a lot of forms to fill out before the appointment which took up a lot of time, but it did provide the doctor with a lot of information, so I appreciated it.

I have always been the stubborn young adult who has firmly held the belief that I don't need insurance. I don't have any chronic medical issues, but as you might expect, things happen! Luckily for me, Guardian Family Care doesn't actually take insurance, but instead has a very, very, affordable monthly plan which includes visits anytime I need them. There is no messy insurance paperwork/deductible/co-pay/etc, and if they have the medication or shot you need in house, they'll take care of you on the spot! * Vaccinations for my trip to India? Check! * Immediate treatment and medication for a terrible allergic reaction to a spider bite in my cheek? Check! * Getting me in for blood tests when I was passing out almost daily and teaching me about my blood sugar issues? Done! My expectations were low based on past experience and hearing story after story after story of poor treatment from medical professionals regarding this disease, but I was desperate and getting so sick. I saw a Bridget Noorishad who was a god send in my life at that moment. Due to lack of funding for date, most doctors are misinformed and cling to false beliefs about the disease to misdiagnose patients. It's a problem that leads to death unfortunately. Bridget wasn't familiar with this issue (most aren't) and held some common misbeliefs as do almost all medial professionals with the exception of ER doctors for some reason they seem to know it more. But what was amazing about Bridget is that she listened to what I had to say and I could tell she genuinely cared (such a relief and so refreshing given my expectations and experience dealing with this). She was skeptical at first as she should be, but she did the right thing and I don't think she knows how grateful I was! She said okay can you give me a minute and she left the room for awhile to go investigate and get to the truth. She humbled herself and did what all doctors should do in this situation. After all, they can't know everything. She took the time and care to figure it out and returned with honestly the best possible treatment plan she could have. After being misdiagnosed for well over a year thanks to false outdated info and doctors who cling to it, this was EXACTLY what I needed in that moment. I couldn't be happier with the care I received here and while treatment was less than effecthve that was not her fault. It was the right treatment just too late and I went too long with insufficient treatment. It's complicated but I just want to say I 100% recommend this walk in. The care FAR exceeded all others I've visited in the area. Thank you for taking me seriously....all too often that's not the case with this issue and you have NO IDEA just how much I needed that! They offer all the basics of primary care, and stay open late and on weekends to handle walk-ins. They really commit themselves to making sure people get care. It's a small, older building that looks more like a 60s tract house than a medical facility, but don't judge it by the exterior. It's a purpose-built dentist/dr office with plenty of space inside. Comfortable waiting room, business-like and professional desk staff. The exam rooms aren't the newest you've ever seen, but they're very clean with good lighting and a comfortable setting. We've juggled a few chronic medical issues lately, and they've always been helpful and personable with advice, prescriptions, and encouragement. They can help you out if you're waiting for insurance coverage to start at a new job, and so on. They really want to make sure you get seen and get any help you might be needing. We're sorry to see Val go, but Andrea has been amazing for a long time and we're happy to keep seeing her. I live across the lake, and drove by this place dozens of times before I needed to switch doctors a couple years ago. Best choice I've made for health care in years.

My family's physical exam schedule has been delayed, which has caused major difficulties with the I-485 schedule. I had to travel twice from Bellevue to Lynnwood for urine and blood tests, even though I had normal samples taken. They got mad at us for calling the business line when we called to check and complain to review the two mistakes. If they had done it right, they wouldn't have called. The service spirit of the staff is terrible and when I first asked for the cost, they gave me the wrong price, so I had to pay more. At first, when he strongly protested that he would not apologize, he said that he would at best apologize and compensate, but he refused because he made questionable compensation in good faith. They are not experts and do not deserve star ratings. If someone mentions Chu Clinic, I won't hesitate to vote. They don't even reflect. Hospitals are also a type of service, but it seems to have become a habit for a long time.
