Luckily for me, Guardian Family Care doesn't actually take insurance, but instead has a very, very, affordable monthly plan which includes visits anytime I need them. There is no messy insurance paperwork/deductible/co-pay/etc, and if they have the medication or shot you need in house, they'll take care of you on the spot! * Vaccinations for my trip to India? Check! * Immediate treatment and medication for a terrible allergic reaction to a spider bite in my cheek? Check! * Getting me in for blood tests when I was passing out almost daily and teaching me about my blood sugar issues? Done! After I left the hospital, I established my primary care with Dr. Leung and (of course) asked him to take over managing my five meds. Well, since then it has been an ongoing giant hassle to manage my meds. Just about every month, there's another problem getting my refills. The team fumbles that simple task over and over again. When I arrived, the desk lady was most cordial and helpful and while I was talking to her a gent came up and assured me they would get to me as soon as a room opened. Not sure if it was my age (78) or what but that was nice. I waited about 15 min and was in to a room where a young lady did all the normal. The doctor was exceptionally thorough and concerned with my condition. We discussed and settled on next steps. I was really impressed with the doctor's care and I've had plenty of experience on the patient side of the practice of medicine. Wish she was my primary.
