She had gotten severely upset that I was not going to continue medication as none of the medications helped. Secondly I came to Amy for medication management and she changed almost every single one of the medications that was working for me and I had went into a manic state and I was seen by my old doctor again and he apologized for Amy because that should not have been the case, Just because this medication is supposed to help with issues does not mean that the specific medication will work for the human. Thirdly, my youngest son was seen by her. Medication worked for a period of time and then they stopped working. She had given me advice on how to manage and that did not work either. I vividly remember that she said if my child was not seen by a specialist for behavior issues she would stop treatment. She called me a horrible mother and said I needed to do better for my child. I had asked if she has any resources on where to get my child seen and she had nothing. Everything therapy I had found was my persistent personality to get my son the help he needs. I do not recommend Amy or any of her services due to lack of knowledge and personally she needs a doctorate degree if she has the audacity to speak to worried mothers like she talked to me. Don't see this lady she puts a bad name to nurse practitioners.

Melody Pairo (C-RNP) is amazing, she always takes the time to listen to your concerns and discuss things until you feel comfortable with everything. She's the most compassionate doctor I've ever had, this has also been the feedback from people I have referred to her. The girls at the front are always pleasant and helpful. I'm so grateful that I found this office and more specifically my doctor all those years ago, I couldn't be more pleased.

**** Update**** I have decided to update this review after…read morethe manager reach out to me to clear up the situation. As I mentioned in my original review it was truly a shocking moment to me that I refused to believe had happened considering how long I have been a patient of NWNP. Northwest Nurse Practitioner Associates to me represented everything that a family practice should embody and that is now missing in the health care system : empathy, compassion, knowledge, detailed-oriented, patience, confidence, trust, passion. I found all of the above qualities visiting Erin every years for the past 7 years and that last encounter (over the phone) with the manager was the complete opposite of what I was accustomed to hence my disbelief. I have the utmost respect for her and what she has built over the years and my decision to update my review is solely based on those 7 years. I do not believe that one incident should erase the consistent positive interactions and great care I have received from NWNP over the years. I want to believe that there was a miscommunication between me and the manager and it was not his intend to make me feel unheard. I appreciate him taking the time to reach out and write an apology email.

And that was true during that time. But something changed significantly as she transitioned to a sort of direct primary care practice and functional medicine practice. The practice seemed more impersonal. For example she tried to direct me away from monitoring my liver scores when I started taking statins. Although she had previously had the position that medications always have risks in promoting alternative medicine considerations and I had told her of my brother's death from non alcoholic cirrhosis due unmonitored prescription of cholesterol medication she tried to talk me out of the monitoring. At one point I had told her I didn't want to die from cirrhosis her reply was that there were worse ways to die.

I was stuttering in his office which I have never done in my life and treated like it was nothing even with elevated seizure med levels in toxic range. High blood pressure and such. I'll will do the test because they need to be done, wait for answers then I'm moving on to someone else. Just fyi I been epileptic since I was 2 so I know a lot and even though he knew I had them that long treated me like I didn't know anything and questioned everything I said which was hard enough to get the words out. The office staff was a lot nicer than he was. At least she could make me smile after being done with his brashness and lack of bedside manner. Update: I have learned he has a nurse practitioner. However I can't meet her till the follow up with him. Makes no sense but I'll go with the flow for now since there is No other neurologist taking patients in area and some are retiring. However the tech for my appointment today (6/20/24) for eeg was very sweet. So I guess I will wait and meet the nurse practitioner . So far, from what I have seen in distance, she seems very sweet and I've heard she is much better. Will update after I meet her in a month.
