I went to Kathryn Waters for an eye exam during the pandemic. I have been doing my best to minimize risk. I found Kathryn to be really clean and hygienic. What helped was that I was the only client seen at the hour, and Dr. Waters told me she cleans the whole office between each client. I had an appointment setup and i was very disappointed. I walked out. When I first arrived 15 minutes early the dr came out and told me to go next door and to come back when my appointment was scheduled. I went back 15 minutes later and door was locked so I had to knock on door. When she let me in she had me fill out paperwork. When completed. All she talked about was pricing and said I was there for just a eye check, I asked that I wanted a full eye exam. I also told her I called her the day before and someone put me to her voice mail. I left a message asking is she was going to dilate my eyes and to call me back so i would know if I needed to be driven there. No one ever called me back. She kept asking me what kind of appointment I wanted. I had never been asked that before and she explained three different appointments. I explained to her that my dr said to get a complete exam. She kept talking prices and I got frustrated and said you are the dr and you should know what i need. I have never been treated like that before, Very unfriendly, I would never recommend her. i will go back to my professional friendly doctor that I use to go too even if I have to drive an hour and a half to get there. read more

So... during this Covid19 pandemic. Dr. Kathryn Waters did a excellent job with trying to get the closest 20/20 vision possible with my problematic eyes. I've had several surgeries on my eyes and currently going to a retina specialist too but i needed glasses right away. Did some research and Dr. Waters was more than capable to help me in what I needed. She took the time and had the patients for trial and error on trying to find the right prescription due to my eye situation. Dr. Waters tool the necessary precautions needed during this covid times. She wore a mask, faceshield and washed her hands plus wore gloves. She even had wiped everything down before i used any machine and also asked to have me wash my own hands! I Love that! I know these are requirements but its good to know she practices a safe covid19 free environment. Overall very professional and would recommend her any day.. Way to go above and beyond ! She specializes in contact lenses, and she went the extra mile to help me find a type that will work with my astigmatism, when no other optometrist has ever taken the care to do so!! Dr. Waters knows her stuff! It took my PREVIOUS eye doctor several visits to give me a contact lens prescription that was just ok. I gave up and just tolerated them. 6 months later I decided to have them looked at, this time by Dr. Waters. Within 30 minutes she was able to correct my prescription so that my reading and distance vision is pretty close to perfect. I'm SO happy that I can see clearly again. Took my 10 yr old daughter in for her first ever eye exam with Dr. Waters. What a truly wonderful experience! My daughter was at ease and comfortable throughout the entire process. Dr. Waters explained the entire exam every step of the way which made it "cool" for my curious kid. She is warm, kind, caring, professional and totally amazing with kids! She immediately noticed that for over a decade my other doctors have never prescribed me the right contacts because of my particular eye condition. Within 30 minutes she diagnosed me, gave me new contacts with the right prescription, and did what no other doctor had done for me in over a decade! During the procedure of my eye check she made sure to ask questions to see if I was comfortable and if I needed anything. She went out of her way to find the perfect lens for me!
