The course was in okay shelf but they were running their sprinkler system and a few holes were pretty flooded. Overall had a good experience and the cart ladies were great! Not sure I would play here again if I go back to Mesquite.

My daughter broke her leg at the end of October and needed surgery to repair it. To say she was devastated is an understatement. She was so looking forward to the Christmas Show that her dance studio, Diamond Talent Productions does every year. She was also getting close to getting point shoes. She has worked so hard at dance this year. she has continued to go to rehersals and practice, watching her friends and company prepare and practice. Bryan and Melinda(owners) have been so supporting and showing their love to Lexi. Today this happened (see pictures below) A complete surprise. As I sit here and write this, my eyes are watering. The love each of these girls and boys have shown Lexi over the last 6 weeks have helped her so much. Thank you, Diamond Talent. You made this dad cry at a wrestling match, surrounded by a bunch of high school boys. So proud to say my daughter goes to Diamond.

There is a walking path, picnic area, playground, splash pad for the kids, basketball court, and tennis courts. You get a nice view of the mountains as your backdrop from here. There's a path that winds through the park that takes you through the trees, past the flowers and the bushes. There are signs throughout that tell visitors what plants are in the area, so you can better identify what you're looking at. Even though it gets extremely hot in the summer, there's a good amount of shade, so this park can be enjoyed morning, noon and night.

This event offered a 35, 65, and 90 option. I signed up for the 90. This event says it's capped…read moreat 500. There were not 500 people there so I'm not sure why they closed down the online registration a day early and said it was full on the website, but they were still taking onsite registration that day. That aside the information offered on their website including what to expect from beginning to end were spot on from arrival to SAG support information to what to expect on each route. Red Rock Bicycle is the sponsor of the event. Driving from Vegas the morning of the race we were about 15 minutes late to start so we missed the coffee and muffins at the start line. The first rest stop at 22.5 miles was pretty packed. I would say they definitely could have used some more porta pottys at that location. This stop was also more off the side of the road, and I'm not one to lie my bike in dirt so I didn't venture to see what was being offered nutrition wise at the tables. The remaining rest stops 45.5 miles 54.2 and 63.5 had bike racks minus the unmanned station at 54.2. That one was a table with water tanks available. Fair enough, because at that point there were less cyclist as due to the weather conditions that day, and from what I heard, 35 and 65 became a more popular choice even if already signed up for 90. These stops offered nutrition basics, peanut butter, pickles, cookies, trail mix, candy, meat, cheese and roasted potatoes, which were awesome! They had a roulette wheel at one stop where you spun for prizes. Unfortunately, I forgot to collect mine at the finish line. The website said SAG support was from 8-5. They went above and beyond in this area. The weather conditions for the day were winds predicted up to 20 MPH so at the start of the race I asked if I threw in the towel would I be picked up and I was assured I would. It was comforting during the ride to see constant roving SAG support assisting riders and correcting a couple map mishaps in the first 20 miles of the ride. They were also very apologetic about the map mistakes, but honestly once you've signed up for 90 if you accidentally add .5 to your ride it's not a big deal. At the end of the ride we were provided with nutrition bars and a pulled pork sandwich, beans and coleslaw. I know this is an event and not necessarily a race but to be fair I don't think if you were picked up in a SAG vehicle and dropped off and missed a few miles of the race your times should be included in the overall result times as having completed something when you didn't.

The trails are easy to find and all are found starting from this main spot. Note they are not…read morepaved. The trails themselves have a lot of dirt and rocks, and don't offer the best views of flowers. However, if you time it right you may see some wildlife like lizards and tortoises. You can get a great overview of the city from here. Bathrooms were dirty. Signage was good and informative. There are a few benches and a picnic shaded area as well.
