Saved our marriage! Michelle is incredible. My spouse and I…read morewere at a complete breaking point. We had tried traditional 50-minute weekly couples therapy in the past, but it felt like we spent the first 20 minutes getting caught up and the last 10 wrapping up, without ever getting to the root of our issues. We needed real help, fast. We found Michelle Shahbazyan and booked an intensive couples coaching session (her extended deep-dive session). It was hands down the best investment we have ever made in our relationship. I had seen her for some personal work many years ago and was so glad to have connected with her again for this new issue. Instead of just sitting back and taking notes, Michelle is direct, empathetic, and extremely solution-focused. Having that uninterrupted block of time during the intensive allowed us to finally tear down the communication walls, stop the endless cycle of arguing, and figure out what was actually going wrong in our marriage. If you are searching for a marriage coach or relationship counselor who actually gives you real-life, actionable tools rather than just generic advice, call Michelle. She completely shifted our perspective and gave us a clear path forward. We left our session feeling lighter, reconnected, and hopeful for the first time in years. Highly recommend her to any couple needing a true breakthrough!

I contacted Michelle and she said that my wife is very guarded about her issues and the likelihood is that she doesn't want to work on herself. Michelle was correct. In hindsight I regret we agreed to such a long initial session. I think we should have limited our initial session to an hour or two. It could have flushed out my wife's lack of willingness and commitment to counseling and saved us an enormous amount of money with no positive result.

Dr. Silverman had the best reviews so I gave him a call. He answered the phone and I was able to get an appointment that same week. After a discussion with Dr Silverman and Rebecca, they asked if I wanted to go ahead with the testing. It's not typically covered by insurance and they went over the costs with me. First I went through a computer assessment and then brain mapping via EKG. As I suspected, I was diagnosed with ADHD. I purchased a treatment package of neurofeedback sessions and have been going twice a week. I feel really grounded after each session and feel like I'm making good progress. This office treats both children and adults. They even offer Saturday hours, which are very convenient.

Dr. Silverman offers a diverse range of treatment modalities. So far, I have participated in 3 sessions (utilizing multiple treatment modalities), and the results, even after a short time, have been deep and meaningful. I am much calmer, more focused, and I have seen a shift in the way my brain functions. It more effectively & efficiently processes day-to-day challenges. In the future, I also plan to have brain mapping done for my high functioning autistic son. I honestly believe receiving Dr. Silverman's treatment will be a "game changer" for him, as well. The office experience has been reassuring & positive. Everyone present believes the patient's best interest is the only interest to be considered. I am met with kindness, caring, and compassion during each exchange. I am honestly so impressed, on all fronts, and it is my pleasure to highly recommend Dr. Sanford Silverman. When given an opportunity to assist you, whatever neurological needs present, I have full confidence Dr. Silverman will do his absolute best to recommend an effective treatment plan. Expect noticeable, lasting results with continued treatment. Honestly, I cannot speak highly enough of this facility/its staff ... This has been nothing short of a miracle for me. Believe in yourself, believe in Dr. Silverman's ability to help you, and BELIEVE HEALING IS POSSIBLE.

This is the first time I have used a couples therapist for my relationship (engaged) and it was…read moreless than stellar for a few reasons. The first being that Lisa took up a lot of time talking. Talking about legal issues, her technique and her personal life. A lot. Both, my fiancé and I had read and electronically signed a document that contained all the legalities involved before coming into the appointment so it was extremely redundant. I wouldn't have minded her going through a few tenants she wanted to stress importance on had it not been for the lengthy and unnecessary time it took to essentially read us again what we were already aware of. I understand that counseling is a serious thing however it should not have taken so long. Although Lisa was a friendly conversationalist throughout the appointment, it was too much, and at the end I felt we knew more of Lisa than she did of us, including her diet preference, family dynamics, religious preference, the vacation she was going on and how she was getting there and more. I was hurrying to describe our issues/reasons for coming in when looking back it could've been easily avoided. It would've also helped out if she would've referred to the pre-questionnaire we both submitted individually online where it asked a lot of in-depth and the 'tough' questions about the state of our relationship (which I thought was pretty awesome and got me excited for the process of our therapy in all honesty). The thing that struck a chord with me and is why I ultimately will not return is that I did not receive a supportive attitude when she began to elaborate on the topic that religion was something causing friction in our relationship. She went on to ask me, "Are you Christian or are you Catholic?" An age old stereotypical question that really comes with a pre-formulated response to it. She must not have expected me to say both because her reasoning for having asked me was incoherent. Aside from the change in her facial emotions and tone of voice, I realized then Lisa wasn't going to be as supportive as I thought a therapist should be of my faith and that she was really going to boil it down to semantics. I could sense that her religious background and attitude towards mine wasn't going to allow her to be equally supportive to my partner and I in that aspect. On account of the fact that we attended once, I give this place the above rating because of the professionalism and preparation before the appointment involved that I liked, but also because I did not like how there was not a direct focus on the couple from the beginning. It might help if a goal was clearly stated in the beginning then worked during that time to get there.
