Went in March for a hysterectomy. Outpatient doors were closed said to go through the ER. Go to…read morethe ER they make you walk all the way to regular administration who's doors are open with a closer parking lot then the ER. I have a port because I have Multiple Sclerosis and receive my medication monthly by infusion, they refused to use it without an Xray. They also made me pee in a cup to prove I wasn't pregnant...it takes 3 appointments, waiting 30 days and a biopsy that is the most painful thing I've ever experienced in order to get a hysterectomy, who would get pregnant in that small window of time where I took 2 other pregnancy tests AND had an ultrasound. Plus since it was surgery I hadn't drank anything. Super annoying. When I came to the nurse who took care of me was great, very easy going, was prememptive with care like had a heater thing ready for me and water, explained everything, his energy was very good and calming, perfect for what was happening. I chose to stay the night in order to have pain management because left to my own devices I let the pain go too long and it causes problems. My first nurse was Coraline. I had to pee as soon as I got there, I asked her and she asked me to wait 5 minutes. Luckily for me the nurse who does the blood pressure, I think her name was Cheyenne helped me and was super sweet the entire time. Caroline did eventually come back but not in the 5 minutes and didn't remember, she did not seem very experienced. Then later in the evening when she came in I asked to have my water filled and she again said later and that I had gatorade, my mom had gone and bought snacks because Caroline couldn't find a phone for me to order food and she did place the order herself but obviously I'm not going to page the nurse everytime I need something. A very nice man, the one who transported me, saw my mom with the bag found us a phone and apologized that we bought everything he seemed pretty irritated that this wasn't taken care of by the nurse. I didn't get my water refilled until the night shift when the blood pressure guy Chris came in, he was also great. I don't remember my nurses name that night but I really liked her, she was very friendly and competent perfect care after a very long tiring day. Checkout was easy. I just really wish they had used my port because I would've been far more comfortable and that's why it's there. Coraline could also use a little help in making sure patients are comfortable, she's the only one who didn't seem to recognize what was going on.

I went in, by ambulance, in severe pain, in my right upper quad/abdomen. It was so bad, I couldn't…read morebreathe. I had to wait in the lobby more than two hours. Shortly after being left there, I got a real bad wave of pain, along with getting really hot and sweaty. My partner told one of the ladies at the desk, and she just said we have to wait. Then, they called back a man who didn't appear to be in any pain, and was able to walk normally, without help, while myself and another woman were both miserable with pain. When I finally got called back, they slowly started doing tests, first, checking for issues with my heart. But, going from an experience my girlfriend had December of 2024, we were both thinking it was my gallbladder. Then, they took blood, and gave me fentanyl for the pain. An hour later, it didn't do a thing for it. So, they gave me a different one, which also didn't help. I was finally taken for an ultrasound of my gallbladder, pancreas and liver. The tech had a hard time finding my gallbladder, when I laid on my left side. So, accurate views may not have been possible. I waited nearly four hours for those results. After nearly 7 hours there, a PA comes in and tells me there's sludge in my gallbladder, but it's not necessary to have emergency surgery. But, she wants me to follow up with a surgeon. She told me to follow a low fat diet, which I have been doing for 11 months now, to lose weight. I was discharged after that 7 hours, and the pain persisted until I went to bed, five hours later. Even now, I'm having mild pain, off and on, and I'm also starting to feel it when bending over. I saw the ultrasound report, in which they say it's sludge, but they were unable to see everything, due to bowel gas, obstructing the view. If this was the case, why didn't they do further tests? What if they missed something critical? I do have an appointment with the surgeon, next week. So, we'll see what she says.

On 15 July 2025, I had a visit with Debra Berger, FNP (Family Nurse Practicioner). She told me that…read morea colleague, maybe the intake technician-(but I do not recall telling that lady) said I was there to, among other things, talk about my blood pressure medications. When she told me that she was told by her colleague to cover my blood pressure meds, I told her I was seeing a cardiologist and I was doing fine with his plan for me, so I preferred not to discuss my blood presure meds. The blood pressure meds review issue was no biggie for either her or me, but the following is.... *** After we finished our session, I asked Nurse Berger for a prescription renewal for a muscle relaxer for my nocturnal leg cramps. SHE REFUSED! I told her that I preferred Tizanidine, as it dehydrates me and it stops my noctural Phlegm, which can fill up my Eustacian Tubes during the night and could cause Vertigo. I added that I'd lost 80% of my right ear hearing due to an ear infection in the late 1990s.. I told her that Dr. Spivery, under whom I assume Ms, Berger works, had written a muscle relaxer for me. Berger became angry and said, "WELL, GO SEE DR. SPIVEY!" I shall not go back to that office and I'll get a copy of this review to Dr. Spivey. *** I told Ms. Berger that I really needed a muscle relaxer for my noctural leg cramps (they awaken me at night and are very painful and hard to get rid of. I added that as men (I don't know about women) get into their 70s and 80s, leg cramps come on and become more frequent and longer lasting as a man ages. *** Ms. Berger denied that theory. *********************************************************** Okay, so to conclude, I am going to paste in below what gemini.google.com said about aging males and leg cramps. Google's "Gemini" is an Artificial Intelligence robot bank, has read and stored everything on the internet. My conversation with Gemini is below: *********************************************************** I wish Gemini had been present in my years as a young student. *** HERE IS THE QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION GEMINI & I had: Question: Are nocturnal leg cramps more and more common in men as they age from age 70 to 90? Yes, nocturnal leg cramps tend to become more common as people age, and this trend continues into the 70s and 80s. While some sources suggest that women experience them more than men, the general consensus is that increasing age is a significant risk factor for both genders. Here's a breakdown of why this is the case and some relevant statistics: Increased Prevalence with Age: Nearly every adult over 50 will experience leg cramps at least once. 33% of people over 60 will have a nocturnal leg cramp at least once every two months. The prevalence further increases, with some studies showing that almost half of those aged 80 years or more experience them. One study found that 50% of elderly outpatients had "rest cramps," with 20% reporting symptoms for 10 years or more. Another study showed that 46% of adults aged 60 and older reported cramps, with 31% reporting being woken up by them, and 15% having cramps more than 3 times a month. Reasons for Increased Prevalence in Older Adults: Tendon Shortening: As people age, their tendons naturally shorten, which can lead to muscle cramps. Muscle Fatigue and Nerve Dysfunction: These are considered primary causes. Electromyographic studies suggest that leg cramps originate in the lower motor neurons with hyperactive, high-frequency, involuntary nerve discharge. Age-Related Loss of Motor Neurons: This is more pronounced in the legs and can contribute to a propensity for leg cramps in older individuals. Reduced Physical Activity: Inactivity can lead to muscle shortening and increased risk of cramps. Underlying Medical Conditions: Many chronic conditions common in older adults can contribute to leg cramps, including: Diabetes Kidney failure Peripheral artery disease (restricting blood flow) Neurological disorders (e.g., Parkinson's disease, nerve damage) Osteoarthritis Thyroid diseases Dehydration and electrolyte imbalances (though the evidence for mineral supplementation being a primary solution is mixed). Medications: Many medications commonly prescribed to older adults can have muscle cramps as a side effect, such as diuretics, statins (for cholesterol), and blood pressure drugs. In summary, while leg cramps can affect anyone, their frequency and severity generally increase with age, making them more and more common in men (and women) as they progress from their 70s into their 90s. This is often due to a combination of physiological changes associated with aging and the increased likelihood of comorbid health conditions and medications. *********************************************************** I sincerely hope this helps Ms. Berger and her future patients. I've made arrangements to go again to my previous PCP, who's a good distance away from my home. Ms. Berger's office is only 2 miles from my home.

You schedule an appointment for a specific service -- they assure you multiple times they can handle it -- and then when you show up, they act like you're the problem. The attitude is unreal. They claim they can't list me by my actual first name, because it's abbreviated on my insurance card. My insurance knows it's abbreviated and they have my full legal name. And even if their system is that complicated, there's no preferred name option? Really? So they will refer to me as a single letter instead of my actual name. I've never run into this problem before at a medical provider office and I've been to many using the same insurance card. Imagine being taken back to have a procedure done under anesthesia and the assistant you've never met tries to greet you but doesn't know what to call you because your name is missing on your paperwork, and it's just a letter. Imagine they try to call your driver back after you're done, and they don't know what to announce. Imagine you get texts after your procedure, referring to you as a single letter instead of your first name. That's exactly what happened, and I was really surprised. It's poor customer service. It creates confusion and discomfort when you're already in a vulnerable position. I work at a medical office and I can't imagine treating a patient like that. It's such a basic standard to call people by their name. I let the office know my concern and they said they can't do anything about it. I'll go elsewhere next time.

One charge for the wellness and one for the well women's. When I called to explain that they were my annuals the receptionist and nurse said they'd look into it. I called my insurance to discuss this coding issue. My insurance says this happens. ALOT and they'd call the office and get it corrected. Just when I thought it'd be taken care of I hear this doctors office has changed the codes and now has charged me for TWO exams for EACH visit, so they can say they charged the annuals AND non-annual!! Ya, so a total of 4 for only 2 dates!! This is so unethical! So apparently discussing things outside of "everything is fine" triggers the yearly covered wellness exams to be null, be careful of your verbiage!!! It really sucks that medical offices can basically bill for whatever they want and we can't do anything about it. I'm now obligated to pay for these FOUR exams! What makes this all the worse is the concern I have wasn't resolved, not even close! They did one test, for one stomach bacteria, and it was negative so they gave up trying to help. I feel like they threw up their hands. It's scary trying to find a doctor you can trust and man they really lost my trust. I hope anyone reading this looks elsewhere for more compassionate, ethical care.

Just go somewhere else. I got referred there after I broke out in hives. So remember I'm itchy ALL…read morethe time this happened, sometimes more sometimes less, ALWAYS ITCHY though. After my initial consult they lost me as a patient for two weeks. Took a couple days of leaving messages in the MA's mailbox before I stumbled on the only way to ever get a message through to anyone is through scheduling. But then you start to run into the shrew factor going through scheduling/front office staff. Don't get me wrong, they don't recruit specifically, I don't think. Not everyone I encountered was a shrewlike harpy just waiting for their turn to make mouth noises at you, sometimes so much so you don't get to finish yours or have to repeat the whole thing again. Some were very pleasant and you only had to say something once. But it was at least 60/40 maybe 70/30, shrews/pleasant. So they ran some tests. Took a couple weeks. Put me on some meds. Tests came back. Need more tests. Meds they just put me on that's only effect was to delay my ability to take the test by 6-8 weeks, and keep feeling doped as hell and, scratching like I'm trying to win the Oscar in Ray. So I get the test done. Now LabCorpPatient is involved here so I'm not entirely sure who to fire the "blamezooka" at on the next few they both appear to have a history of suckage. But the test gets lost. Next test, messed up somehow(effing weeks). Final test, get reffered to specialist. To kinky to go into, don't want to violate the HIPPO. Anyway I took two buses over an hour to go to my last visit. I had to fill out paperwork for conditions I didn't have, unlace my boots, (bus=walking=boots) take em off for height (umm, the same), weight (@247# w/3to5# boot, you're looking at 1-2% of the total weight is boot. No dosing is that accurate) lace 'em back up, get BP temp, someone asking me questions I just answered with things I said, a 15 minute wait, to fill out paperwork to order a shot they said I was coming in to get. The ordering has gone awry. After being tired of being cut off, repeating myself, and general lack of competence. I expressed my displeasure, I'll admit when met with snotty and haughty tones I returned fire. And near the end I was so flustered I may have treated a pleasant unfairly. Anyway they've sent me a breakup letter, I've filed a grievance with my insurance. By all means if this is the experience you're looking for give them a call.
