Super cute Mom and pop restaurant. The inside has tables lined up against the wall with an exposed kitchen right in front. The place was packed on Sunday morning so we ended up sitting at a table for 6 and then they sat two more people at the end of our table. The waitress was the epitome of a southerner with her sweet personality and "sweethearts and baby dolls" talk. She kept our corree refilled and treated us like we were her only table even though she was really busy. I went with the standard of two eggs over medium, potatoes, bacon and a biscuit. Everything was very very good. My friend had the biscuits and gravy which were phenomenal! Nice and pepper with chunks of sausage in them. I just loved the biscuits in general! I don't usually like to throw the 'racist' word around because we're in sensitive times, but I was incredibly uncomfortable at this establishment. It went from everything from the greeting, casual checks during the meal to the two black members of a group of 6 being served absolutely last. The waitress served one meal at a time, which is a long walk from the back, so imagine having to get your meal last. Let's discuss the food...not worth it, not good at all, it all taste the same, like nothing. I will never come back to a place that has such obvious tension toward minorities and 99% of the photos hanging up are of white people. Visited on 2/21. The food's not bad but it's not great either. It's a simple, down-home restaurant with reasonable prices and fast service. My issue is that while eating there I noticed at least five employees who wore masks but did not wear them over their noses. The lady taking money at the register had absolutely NO face covering at all. I get it, the masks are hot, they're uncomfortable and no one wants to wear them but, at some point, you have to decide it's not about you. It's a state mandate and the manager should enforce it! Amazing, homey, country breakfast and lunch joint. We found it on the way back North from Myrtle Beach. It's a little off I-95, but also worth it. Everyone was amazingly nice and the food was delicious. Pancakes are big, fluffy, and flavorful. I got the Kathy Special which was honestly a little of everything: small pancake, 1/4 waffle, eggs, bacon, home fries, grits, and a biscuit. All amazing and all for $7.95. Most expensive on the menu. The rest of my group had omelettes and pancakes - all delicious. Get the biscuits, they will not disappoint. Clearly a local joint, but so nice all around. read more

Great place to stop and grab a bite to eat. I could not believe this amazing place is tucked away in this beautiful little quaint town. My food was good. I could tell they use good fresh ingredients and they even asked me how I wanted my potatoes, shredded or home fries which amazed me. Usually diners only have one option when it comes to home fries or hash-browns. I would come here again if I was not only passing through and looking for a great place to eat. Love this place. The atmosphere is very friendly and family oriented. Everyone there (employees and patrons) are some of the best I have come to know. The food is amazing, but I've only tried breakfast stuff. I get something different every time and have not been let down. They are well suited for children and so very understanding of those needs (understanding of spills, keeping coffee on the other side of the table, making room for high chairs, etc). I came here for a late breakfast. The price is reasonably cheap, under $10 for nearly all menu items. It looks like an old school diner. Overall the food was decent and service pretty fast. For an old style diner with older furniture it looks well maintained. While I enjoyed the service, the pancake and waffle did not taste as good as most batter recipes I am used to. The coffee was also not a good bean roast, not terrible though. For the capacity they had a good ratio of floor staff. Note that you will look for this place in the strip mall. It is a small storefront area near a thrift store, the signage is not too prominent. read more
