I am so thankful I found Katie on Yelp. I did a lot of research and contacted a lot of makeup artists for my small but elegant San Francisco City Hall winter wedding, but Katie stood out from all the rest! She made a great first impression by answering my inquiry very promptly and taking the time to understand my wedding plans and style. Katie is so incredibly sweet, informative, friendly, and talented. I have a combination of oily and dry skin, so I was quite concerned about break-outs on my face on my wedding day. Also, I don't normally wear very much makeup--just a little eyeliner and mascara daily--so I'm pretty clueless when it comes to going all out with makeup. I was also concerned about wearing glasses that would cover up the drama of makeup, but Katie pulled off the combination perfectly. Her cheerfulness helped ease my nerves both during the trial session and on my wedding day, and the quality of make-up that she uses is top notch (I wished I could've taken some of the products with me!). There was some rain and a lot of happy tears on my wedding day, but the make-up made it through the whole day! I was also still looking for a hair stylist for my wedding, and she connected me with Traci Tucker from Trasees Hair Design for up-do's. Traci did a fantastic job, and they work together like a well-oiled machine. Also, my wedding ceremony was during an unconventional time (Monday during early business hours at City Hall), and my groom and I had planned a "First Look" photo shoot at the Palace of Fine Arts at 9 am. I'm beyond grateful that they were both willing to accommodate a super early style session for me and my maid-of-honor (planned), as well as our mothers and grandmother (3 unplanned!). I can say with all honesty that these already beautiful women looked more stunning than I could've ever imagined for them, and that was all thanks to Katie's and Traci's patient work, talented skills, and commitment to their clients. I used KBC beauty for my rehearsal dinner and wedding. Katie did an amazing job with my makeup for both events, and Adeline did stunning work with my hair. Both artists were very accommodating in terms of my vision and wanted to be sure everything was perfect and to my liking. For the rehearsal we did a high pony tail with glam gold makeup inspired by Emma Roberts at the 2017 Met Gala, and for the wedding we did loose curls and a soft bronze smoky eye with glowing skin to match the wine country vibe. Both of them were great with feedback to get the looks exactly how I envisioned them. On the day of the wedding, both ladies were calm and collected and made the vibe for getting ready relaxed -- I felt at ease! All of my bridesmaids also loved their hair and makeup.
