New Year's Eve did my hair, I was so happy Bella was able to do my hair last minute Kind of concerned since my hair is still very brittle and I did oil treatment and conditioner treatment Have left Bella a second message to see if she could add a few more highlights and my hair feels very Ashy and I usually do balayage so the highlights really changed my color. I did partial and it cost 220 plus 40 dollar tip and I'm not really happy but Bella it's a lovely lady. She listens but didn't get my color right and my roots are showing already. After being a long-time Aveda hair enthusiast, I decided to give someone else a try and made a reservation over here. It's a scary thing to trust cut and color to someone you don't know yet, but you've always gotta start somewhere, right? When I arrived, I met my stylist Ashley and we got started immediately. I told her what I was thinking- natural and small sections of " California bronde", and she got right to work. The first thing I noticed was that she was super rough with my hair and was pulling and tugging on my strands like I was some unruly child. Rough doesn't even begin to describe... Once the foils were in, I told her my hair lifts really fast. She seemed peeved that I was telling her how to do her job, but she lifted a foil and shock of shocks, it was already done. She immediately rushed me to the bowl and started washing out my foils. After getting soap all down my neck, in my ears and my eyes, it was time to figure out if the color was all wrong and needed color toning, or if we had been saved my fast action and washing out the foils in time. I knew it was probably bad when she went about toning and it went on and on. After, once everything was dry and done, I realized my hair was atrociously striped and there was nothing at that point that I could do about it. With a result like that, I didn't want her to touch my hair any longer to do something else with it- she had just ruined it completely. Sure enough, I got home and after the first wash took the majority of the toner out, there I was looking like a pop singer from the early 2000's with my bright massive highlighter stripes coming straight out of my part. I guess I could lean into it with some white eyeliner and some Brittney Spears Curious perfume? I also was quoted a different price than I was charged, even though she didn't have to wait to process and even said " I don't even know what to charge you if your hair processes this fast." She also tried to sell me on coming back for blowouts with her, and I listened but was thinking "oh honey, never again." Overall, terrible experience, rough process, and definitely not returning for another bout in the ring with this stylist! Quite a bummer too because the overall ambiance of the salon was nice and I would have loved to get to change to a new salon home...but it won't be here! read more
