I've only had two experiences with the Katy police, so far anyway. So one has been mixed and one has been really bad. Obviously it's not my favorite Police Department. Barbie, who has worked as a lawyer on and off for a few years, has had iffy experiences with them also. Katy is weird. A burb of Houston, and yet... It does have definitely a small town mentality and they do seem to be often looking for outsiders to mess with, if you know what I mean. I look like an outsider and I don't have a Katy address so it's probably why I got messed with. At least I wasn't arrested. Then again I didn't do anything at all.

There are restaurants, movie theaters, shopping, entertainment, venues, etc. You really don't have to leave KATY to do much of anything. Everything that you may need is here I can remember when Mason Road had no businesses from I 10 to Morton Ranch and now it's grown and businesses on both sides that been developed. At the time when I moved here Martin ranch stopped at Mason Road. It didn't go all the way through like I did now that was a great improvement. Also 99 stopped at I10 and now it goes almost around the whole city. You will enjoy your time here when you visit or if you live here.

I went today thinking I would get a head start by arriving at 7:30 since they open at 8. I should…read morehave been there an hour or two earlier. It was chaotic with no one to direct people. They have all kinds of things going on there including Court, marriages, vehicle title and registration. I was there to transfer title and register my vehicle. There were people in line inside the front of the building only to find out the real line was wrapping around the building outside. That started a big argument over which group was actually there first. There should have been someone to manage this. After waiting in the line for about 2 hours I finally got inside and was able to sit down. I thought I was going to pass out. When my number finally was called, the nicest man, James, helped me. He had a sign at his window saying he was a new employee in training. He made my experience seamless and even allowed me to make a call and have a document emailed over. He made my experience great because I got what I need accomplished. I really appreciate him for his kindness, patience, and assistance.

The library can be quite crowded and noisy, especially on the ground floor. There are plenty of…read moreseats for self study on the secondary floor but again can be crowded too. The worst I want to highlight is the absence of paper towel for wiping hands dry after using the bathroom. Just within a couple of hours, I noticed a couple of inconsiderate and careless people who parked on the line in an rather crowded parking lot.
