Very friendly staff at the desk and an easy sign up process that is straight forward. There is no pressure or hard sell which is a breath of fresh air from most gyms these days. I've been coming here for over 2 weeks now during my lunch and the environment is very good. It's hard to find a good gym with old school equipment these days but this is definitely a good balance between old school and modern training equipment. I definitely recommend:) read more

Ok first I want to say I travel all around the US and have been to hundreds of gyms (including Zoo Culture and the Mecca of Golds gym at Venice beach). This is the most badass gym I have been to yet! Cheap day pass as well. Definitely the most hidden gem of a gym I have been to. Will definitely always be coming here when I'm in for business. read more

I would spend all day here if I could, but my body can only exercise for so long lol. The staff member at the front desk was so nice and helpful, and you can tell that he gets to know each of the members, as he was walking around talking to them throughout the afternoon. The equipment is nice, new, and in great condition. However, so pieces didn't have instructions on them, and beginners may get overwhelmed. I didn't even know what some of the pieces of equipment were. I liked that there wasn't a heavy focus on cardio equipment. In some gyms, they take up soooo much space, but they only had what was necessary here. The energy was also amazing. Music blasting, big ass fans, and a garage door open. Especially in these times, airflow is important. I can't wait to visit again soon. read more

Goos equipment but a bit too pricey to not be open 24 hrs. Also, I don't like that they let guys take there shirts off when they lift. It's gross, I don't want to see that some dudes nipples. Come on. Put your clothes on. I paid for some day passes but wouldn't join mostly because of this. Pretty stuck up patrons too. read more

Katy Hearn Gym is located in New Albany Indiana, just a few miles from downtown Louisville, and it carries the name of the nationally known (maybe even worldwide) Instagram fitness celebrity, Katy Hearn. This gym currently has day passes for ten dollars and considering it was the only gym in the area open on Christmas Day and I needed to get a workout in, I drove over to check out this gym. Walking into this place, I was surprised to see that it wasn't at all what I was expecting. If we were to place fitness centers/gyms on a scale; a place like Anytime Fitness or Planet Fitness would be on one side of the scale and referred more to as as fitness center, the YMCA would be near the middle as a family membership gym, while Katy Hearn Gym would be nearing the other extreme. It's closer to a "hardcore gym" than what you might expect from the gym name. What that means is that you will find the majority of the gym goers here that are perhaps more experienced or "serious" about a strict gym routine compared to the other places mentioned. The type of people working out on Christmas Day was certainly an indication of that but more than that, it was that a "hardcore gym" usually keeps that warehouse feel and Katy Hearn Gym definitely fits that unwritten rule. This isn't to say that anyone looking to get a good workout in shouldn't go here (everyone has to start somewhere), but considering that new gym goers usually seek out the cardio equipment and just stick to that, this place has a very limited section when it comes to that. Just enough to get people to warm up and cool down. This place is more about strength training and body composition than just losing weight. The emphasis is on the shiny strength training equipment; from the branded Katy Hearn dumbbells, to the power racks, to the equipment that I've only seen big name fitness people use in their workout videos. It is definitely a beautiful thing to see such great equipment in person. Not surprising considering it's Katy Hearn's gym, for anyone looking to work on their legs or glutes, this place has it all. SO much equipment to build a bigger and stronger you in those areas should you want that. Also this place has a large area that's made to look like a football turf field and it's perfect for lunges or pushing a prowler sled. I had a fun but demanding leg session lunging from one end to the other where I would take a few seconds break and wobble over a few steps to the water fountain. Not many gyms can say they have this type of area or one as large as this one. This place isn't your traditional membership gym. It has a decent amount of space where you don't feel suffocated next to everyone else working out but it does have an open warehouse layout where you can see everything from one end to the other. Though it maintains that warehouse look, it adds neat clean Katy Hearn branded colors to it's decor and the place is extremely well kept. It boasts some of the best fitness equipment you will find anywhere and the staff is extremely nice.In general, though I feel many people are intimidated by gym rats, I've found these type of people to be some of the nicest people I've ever met. I have way too much to learn and I sacrifice too much until I reach an advanced lifter status but the gym is definitely a happy place for me. And places like Katy Hearn Gym with it's awesome equipment and with so many people here with their serious gym work ethic and obviously well trained physiques, isn't intimidating at all but instead motivating and inspiring. Look at it that way and don't be afraid to check this place out. read more

So, I'm from Massachusetts but was in Kentucky and was lucky enough to be staying only 30 mins away from this gym, I couldn't pass up the chance! When I first got there I was "fan girling" pretty hard. I walked in and was immediately greeted by one of the most polite and kind gentleman who walked us through the process and rules. (Typical gym rules, nothing crazy) When we got into the gym it was like a kid on Christmas morning. They have done such a beautiful job! I absolutely LOVED the feel and vibe of this place! They have a great variety of gym equipment which makes this gym for everyone, beginners to power lifters, they really have everything! The music was loud and on point to get you motivated if you don't wear headphones or forgot them. Not to mention the gym was extremely clean. Last but definitely not least, the employees were the nicest people I've ever met. Full of information and extremely genuine. Katy and her team have definitely out done themselves with this gym! It exceeded any and all expectations I had and I hope to have another opportunity to go!! Thank you to all the employees I came in contact with, you made my experience at the Katy Hearn Gym one I'll never forget! read more
