Went in today for a shellac manicure and pedicure I got the 35 dollar pedicure but it had a special on it so it went down $3 less. I was very pleased with my shellac manicure I love it a lot the only downside is that the girl accidentally cut me. The woman who was working on my pedicure did a fantastic job I felt very relaxed. But then the girl who did my manicure painted my toe nails, I don't know what happened but I'm not happy with it. Don't think I'd come back again.

Photo attached.. .Please check out photo posed on my profile.... Very hideous!!! My niece visited this nail spa on May 10th to get her nails done for prom. It was suppose to look pretty and well groomed for this special milestone in her life. She kept complaining that the nails were crooked and badly none but they didn't do anything. They was also accumulated nails underneath from filing the fake nail down. I was in the processed of discussing the issue with the owner and placed my card on the desk and it was swiped for an unauthorized charge, without rectifying the situation. I had to get nails removed and completely redone the next day on May 11th to attend prom on Friday May 12th. I called the place several times to let them know that I am very unhappy with the service and need a refund and they keep hanging up the phone on me. They did not actually render the service of cleaning and grooming the nails before actually putting the tips on. The lady said that she was sick and just didn't care and she rushed us out of there because it was passed their closing time. As a citizen of this country I need to be treated fairly by people that we pay my hard earned money to. If the service was rendered I wont not have an issues, but the fact remains that we had to get it redone. Very unhappy customer and I don't wish this on anyone. They refuse to fix it or give a remind. Please guys avoid going there because I don't want this to happen to anyone else. The husband appears to be nice and friendly but will not go against his wife talking about she did her best and her finger is crooked. That's a lie. She also mentioned that to file and clean her nails before adding the acrylic is 14$ more than we had already paid. This was $35 down the drain.

Make sure to take the key with you because when you check in, the staff gives you a bracelet in exchange for the key. Don't forget to wear this bracelet everywhere you go in the facility. It serves as the key to your main locker, and you also use it to pay for services and food. I highly recommend purchasing your admission ticket through Groupon because I was able to save about $10. Also, be sure to book any services you want a few days in advance. After checking in at the front desk, I stored all of my items in the locker room. You don't need to bring your wallet with you because, again, you pay for everything using your bracelet. I booked the Scrub Plus service, and it was amazing! It has been several days, and my skin is still very soft and supple. For this service, you will need to soak in the bath for about 30 minutes beforehand. After the scrub, I changed into the spa uniform provided and explored the facility. They offer a variety of sauna rooms, and my favorite was the Yellow Ocher Clay Room. I also ended up ordering tteokbokki and sikhye at the food court. The food is a little pricey, but it was delicious. Overall, I had an enjoyable birthday at Spa World. I will definitely be coming back!

Unless you're buying add-ons, the place is mostly saunas, one cold room, and the gender specific bath houses. We walked around the whole place but couldn't find the outside terrace area, even after consulting a map of the place. The ocher bead sauna was my fav. The fire room is unbearably hot. They don't allow shoes in the spa areas but I think they need to make an exception for that room. They have rugs all over the floor and layered ontop of each other in there and it still doesn't make a difference. I became stuck in there because the floor was so hot it was burning my feet. I was standing on a super thin towel I brought in with me. I had to call for my husband to bring me another towel so I could make a makeshift pathway to the door so I could get out. Consider yourself warned. It feels in there what I assume being on fire might feel like at its beginning stages. The food looked nice but some of it was wildly expensive. $8-9 for one coffee? $4-6 for a hot tea? Ehh, I passed. I enjoyed the bath house/locker room area. The showers were nice, lots of diff pools to chose from that each served different purposes, the wrap around mirrors, body lotion, hair dryers, etc... it was great! They even had attendants in there where you could buy items or services from them. I saw many girls buying face masks. It was very zen in there. I spent a solid amount of time in there getting ready bc I had a fancy dinner with my husband afterwards so I used all the space and amenities to get ready :) Oh forgot to mention - check Groupon. We got our tickets at a discounted rate. Front desk ppl were nice and explained things thoroughly and easily.

However, after visiting the location I discovered they are masters of the "bait and switch" pricing scheme. When we arrived, May, took us to the couple's room. When I returned she advised me they offered three types of massages and that the AcuQi was the best one. The way it was presented made it seem like it was one of three types included in the package I already paid a deposit for. She then mentioned that hot stones could be added and when I asked how much she said $15 per person for one area. I agreed to pay the extra for the hot stone massage. When it was time to check out I was advised that we could save $10 if we left a 5-star review on Google before we left, hence the good ratings because they are giving you a $10 "discount". After I wrote the review, she advised me that we owed $160 minus the $10 for the review so we owed $150 on top of the $80 deposit we already paid. She said the AcuQi massage was $110 per person but as you can see from the screenshot it's listed as $90 per person on the website. The couples massage is listed as $130 but I was charged $160, as you can see from the screenshots. They also charge you a 3.95% fee for using a credit card but there is no fee if you use Venmo or Zelle. She never rung anything up on a cash register and gave me my total on a Post-it note. The fact that they are using Venmo and Zelle and not tracking their charges leads me to believe they are NOT paying their taxes or reporting their sales accurately. DO NOT use this place because they are dishonest. A potential client called while we were waiting and she pushed the AcuQi massage on her telling her it was the best they offered. I forgot to mention my massage was horrible! He used heavy pressure even after I asked him to lighten up.

My friend booked the appointment for the three of us, and I specifically mentioned before the service that I did not want the facial portion of the package. The front desk reassured me that it wasn't a facial -- just a light face massage -- but that turned out to be completely untrue. The experience went downhill immediately. We received almost no instructions about what to do or expect. Once I laid down, my masseuse started working directly on my face without saying a word. She never asked if I was wearing makeup (which I was), and began rubbing and tapping my face in strange circular motions, then applied some unknown substance. I told her to stop and explained that I have allergies and didn't want anything put on my face. Because she didn't speak any English, another staff member had to translate. She stopped briefly, wiped off my face, but then started massaging my face again with the same unknown product. At that point, I was extremely upset and uncomfortable. She also pressed down on my eyelids several times, knocking off some of my lash extensions and even dislodging one of my contact lenses. Afterward, my friends told me they had almost identical experiences. One of them had oil and water get into her eyes, and the masseuse was extremely rough. By the end of the session, all of our faces were burning. I had also added a hot stone massage, which I deeply regretted. It felt awkward and unprofessional -- at one point she just handed me an oily stone to hold for no reason. She kept pulling my hair throughout, and my friend said her stylist didn't even use conditioner, only shampoo, which makes no sense for a "head spa." At the end, the masseuses began hitting the backs of our heads and pounding on our backs and shoulders -- not in a therapeutic way, just harsh and uncomfortable. There were no instructions afterward; we had to figure out ourselves that we were supposed to move for a "blowout," which ended up being a quick, rough blow-dry using cheap Pantene products. To top it off, as soon as the massages were over, the masseuses literally ran out of the building, and the host seemed eager to rush us out as well. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing and uncomfortable experience from start to finish. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously because the lack of communication, professionalism, and basic care was unacceptable.

This is a great place to do either. The first hour and a half in the men's area rotating between the steam room, sauna hot tub and cold plunge, losing track of the time and just soaking it. The sauna and the steam room each held around 5 to 7 people, respectively. Fortunately I didn't need to push the capacity limits since the crowd was extremely light, especially for for a weekend. I strolled around and checked out the other rooms and the bulgama room was scorching hot, in the best possible way. Broken up into two different dome spaces - one hot and the other extremely hot with a fireplace- that had the cozy smell of burning wood. A fantastic sensory experience. I popped by the restaurant and the Bulgogi stew was delicious. Prices were comparable to being outside of the spa, and the quality was just as good. The food came out piping hot with a little kimchi and some potatoes and a small bowl of rice on the side. I have been to more than a handful of Korean Spas and the features that make this one stand out are: Clean smells- sounds strange to have to say this but Gangnam was clean but didn't smell like cleaning products. Each space had a unique scent based on the desired effect - cedar, burning wood, eucalyptus, etc. Comfortable uniforms - woven, soft terry cloth sets that breathed well and were easy to move in. Unique experiences in small niches- hand spa to massage your hands, foot spa with a pebble bottomed pool, plenty of lounge spaces, vibrating plates for muscle activation or relaxation, I honestly didn't have time to do it all. The staff = top notch. Friendly front desk crew gave a great first impression. The superstar was the gal who helped me decide on a tasty dish in the restaurant, providing great descriptions for all of the choices. After 4 full hours, I needed to go to my next meeting and had to leave. Nevertheless I left feeling relaxed and satisfied. Verdict: Check it out but be sure to give yourself at least 4 hours.

And this is why the rating drops to THREE STARS However, the spa's current approach to cell phone use raises serious privacy and safety concerns. Multiple guests were openly using their phones in treatment areas and even inside the locker rooms -- including taking photos and videos in spaces where individuals are undressed. Locker rooms are universally recognized as places where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy, and recording in these areas can violate that expectation, regardless of intent. Allowing phones in environments where guests are changing creates a real risk of non‑consensual photography or video, which can have legal implications and exposes patrons to harm. Businesses that operate locker rooms and similar facilities typically have a duty of care to protect guests from exactly this type of privacy intrusion. I strongly encourage the spa to implement and enforce a comprehensive no‑phone policy throughout all treatment and locker room areas. A spa should be a place where guests feel safe, respected, and able to relax without worrying about being filmed or photographed in private spaces. PLEASE KEEP this SPA classy, with privacy rules and keep the ghetto out the door!
