I responded and asked what was going on. All I got was a text message asking to ignore their previous text message. They totally ghosted me after they charged my insurance 500$ per 15 minute online session for psychotherapie my child never received (she only got her meds refilled, never even saw a doctor, only the nurse). This place does not seem to be legit.

Doctor Russell Ferstandig saved my life. This is a powerful and true statement. I was addicted to…read moreopiates, and was putting myself in dangerous situations, doc shopping etc to get what I needed. I was 100% convinced I didnt have the strength, courage or will power to stop taking opiates. That all changed September 7, 2014, my 1st meeting with Doctor Russ. He immediately put me at ease, spent well over 2 hours understanding my situation, and discussing his process and care he will provide to safely get me off opiates forever. I knew I had finally found the right Doctor as he genuinely cares about his patients and goes to "above and beyond" to ensure their success in overcoming addiction. I had met with 3 different, highly rated Doctors in NYC, who spent 10 minutes with me, prescribed Suboxone, with no further instructions or counseling. Each time I relapsed, and fell further into my addiction Doctor Russ explained his process, and the importance of following it for a successful outcome. Additionally he educated me on Suboxone and how and when to consume for ideal results. He coupled medicine with counseling, which was the key to his success rates. He is very humble, and doesnt share that he has the highest success rates with no relapses. He cares more about helping you understand and overcome the reason that lead to your addiction. As our sessions continued he prescribed and anti-depressant as I was in denial of how much my depression was sabotaging my life. As our sessions continued, I realized, he was dedicated to ensuring not only my success in overcoming my addition, but also rebuilding an enriched life. I find it amazing how he is able to remember and build upon each of our sessions. I thank God every day for Doctor Russ. He listens, never judges, provides guidance to build a great life and never watches the clock. I have gone well over my scheduled hour, and never received additional billing, I have been opiate free for 4 years, and continue weekly sessions as they make me a better person. In summary, Doctor Russ saved my life and to this day, provides the incredible insights and counseling to rebuilding a better life and self.

I did find a PAYING job and Dr. Mekles is very supportive and shows real interest. With Dr. Mekles - I'm able to taper my benzodiazepine slowly - with lots of support from the doctor. He's very patient and is very understanding and knowledgeable about withdrawal symptoms. He didn't push me - but prodded me to do this vital step The secretary is very helpful. She answers text messages immediately - to assist with medication renewal requests and appointment changes - when needed. I'm very disappointed with how my recent experience at Evolve Psychiatry was handled. I had a…read moreconfirmed telehealth appointment at 1:00 PM. I received both a text and email confirmation just before the appointment and waited until 1:30 PM for the provider to join. When I finally called the office, I was told the provider, Ruth Moze, had an emergency and that someone should have reached out to inform me -- but no one ever did. I was then rescheduled for another appointment later that same day, only to get a phone call twenty minutes later saying that appointment was also canceled because that provider had an emergency. Having two same-day cancellations, with no communication beforehand, was incredibly upsetting and discouraging. For context, I had been receiving care at Evolve for about a year for medication management. I was happy with my doctor at first. After a successful pregnancy and giving birth, I developed postpartum depression. During my last scheduled visit, my provider called earlier than the set time, and I wasn't in a private space to talk, which made the conversation rushed and uncomfortable. That experience made me realize I needed a new psychiatrist who could better support me through this period. I had hoped to stay within Evolve because I already had an established history there. But after both of my new appointments were canceled--one after I had already been waiting--it left me without care and feeling completely disregarded. As a mother of six-month-old twins trying to manage postpartum depression, this experience has taken a serious emotional toll. I'm deeply disappointed and now have to start all over again with a new practice, which feels overwhelming given everything I'm already managing. I hope Evolve Psychiatry takes accountability for these communication failures and makes changes so other patients, especially those struggling with their mental health, don't go through the same thing.
