MUST DO EXPERIENCE! If you're torn between mountain tubing and ATV riding, choose the ATV riding no question! We had the best time and felt like this was such a great value. We spent about two hours in the ATVs exploring four different stops... one ocean stop, one mountain stop, a stop at Wilcox tunnel, and finally, a stop to bamboo pole fish. Our guides, Kayson and Cole were awesome! Didn't talk too much but shared a little history and trivia about each area we stopped at. We had three kids with us and rode in two separate ATVs. Everyone had a blast!

Great experience in Koloa! Mana & Tori led us to a beautiful beach, historic movie scenes and taught us the history of Hawaii sugarcane operations from years past with their tunnels. They provide top notch Polaris razors that run well with good jaunts of speed on muddy bumpy fun trails. A short hike to a beach, with some fishing at the end if you choose. Loved the tour! Just book it and take your kids -many kids on our tour and they loved it! They provide a neck gator you keep , helmet and goggles. The start location is a bit hard to find from google maps, just make sure your on welli well road. Definitely recommend! We wished there was a bit more driving time and down through the historic meadow where Jurassic and other movies were filmed instead of just overlooking; this would improve the experience, but the land is all private and lucky to have any trails from what we heard.

Had an amazing experience with Kaua'i ATV! The Polaris Rzr's are super fun and the guides were great!

We had a great time - the weather was perfect and the scenery is non-comparable. A big reason I'm taking off a few stars is that the biggest reason we booked this was for the Jurassic Park experience and our guides "forgot" to stop at the jeep. We even asked if we could do it. We also didn't get to try fishing because they "forgot" the bait. Other than those two things, we would definitely recommend this tour - I just wouldn't expect all of the things that are listed, because we felt a little bummed about missing out. Everyone else that got to see and do those things seemed like they had a good time! Our guides were Mano (I probably butchered the spelling) and Tyler - both super nice and friendly and gave lots of great information. Thank you both!

Many films were filmed in this beautiful land in Kauai. Beautiful land to ride n loved hearing all the hosts' history.

A great experience with even better tour guides Kylie and Kelea. We got to experience the dirty side of Kauai with a little rainforest experience. Would absolutely do this again!! It was my second time on this tour.

We have been on one other ATV tour on another part of Kauai before, and this one far surpassed that one! Our guides, Edward and Kylie were so amazing, knowledgeable and fun! The four spots where we stopped provided majestic views and also historical significance. My husband and our two kids thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of riding through all the mud. This is definitely a "must do" for anyone who wants to experience some adventure on Kauai and we will definitely book it again when we come back to the island!

Tori, Tyler, and Junior were great tour guides! They were knowledgeable, funny, and super friendly! They were engaging, helped take some photos, and made the tour very enjoyable. They provided water and small granola bars, so don't come hungry! Great tour and would definitely recommend!!!!

Our tour was amazing. 1000% would recommend. Not only do you get dirty but you learn a lot about Hawaii's history. Our tour guides Mano & Jai had made our experience phenomenal. They made everyone feel welcomed and provided a top experience! Make sure to wear things you don't mind getting covered in dirt!

We went on this tour on 11/11/24. Our tour guides were knowledgeable and we had a good time. Make sure to wear clothes you never want to wear again if there has been rain as the mud stains will not come out of your clothes. One and done. I was glad I had lots of glass wipes as we needed them for the goggles. Worth doing before the lease is up. Beautiful country and great guides!!

Just did our ATV tour today with Jr and Kyler, and they were awesome! This was kid-friendly and so much fun! Loved that we got to experience both dry and wet dirt roads. This activity definitely exceeded my expectations, and we were lucky to have great tour guides who made it possible for us to experience ATV on Kaua'i in the best ways. If you're on this island and want to do an activity, this is definitely one you should put on your bucket list. Thanks Jr and Kyler.

This was by far the coolest thing we've done on Kauai. Be ready to get dirty but also have the most fun ride of your life. The four stops along the journey were breathtaking in their own unique ways. I felt completely safe with the vehicules and all the safety precautions the guides took with us. If you're reading this, hopefully you're lucky enough to get Junior and Lai as your guides! Their chemistry was top tier, humor phenomenal, and knowledge of the island/stops was impressive. I'll recommend them to anyone I can!!

We had an amazing ATV adventure in Kauai! The experience was absolutely awesome and I would definitely recommend it. The tour guides were fantastic, and the views were breathtaking. A must-do for anyone visiting the island!

If you book 2 seats, do you get your own ATV, or would they put you with 2 other strangers?

Same here! My husband and I were in one with just the two of us! Everyone seemed to be grouped with the party they were with

Is there an ATV that would fit 5 (2 adults and 3 kids)?

Captain Max was incredible--his sense of humor kept us laughing even as the rain and mist rolled in. The two women on the crew (I wish I could remember their names) were fantastic, making sure everyone was comfortable and answering all our questions with a smile. The playlist on board was spot on, setting the perfect vibe. I wish I could find it on Spotify! Despite the weather, the views were breathtaking, and getting a little drenched just added to the adventure. The food was delicious, especially the smoked pork, salad, and fresh fruit, and my husband loved the mai tais. Even without the sunset, the whole experience was magical. After chatting with other travelers, I'm convinced we had one of the best tours available. especially after talking to a couple at our hotel pool who had paid more than we did and only got snacks limited alcohol. I can't recommend Holo Holo Charters enough, and I'm already looking forward to trying their breakfast or snorkel cruise next time. If you're looking for an amazing adventure, this is it!

My husband and I did the sunset dinner tour to the Na Pali coast with this company a couple weeks…read moreago on 4/1/26 at 2:45pm. Price was $250 per person and we booked a couple days before the tour date. (we went at the end of March - the weather was fantastic and not too hot, also not raining). Although it was pricey, I felt like it was worth the experience and highly recommend anyone do a tour, even if it's not with this company. We got back to shore around 7-7:30pm, so total time was 5 hours ish. Pros: - the Na Pali coast is BEAUTIFUL - the views were truly a once in a life time experience for me and I saw the fullest rainbow I've ever seen - The tour guide was super informative, we learned a lot about whales, and they also taught us a lot about certain mountains and waterfalls that we passed on the Na Pali Coast (like where Kauai kings were buried). - We stopped to watch whales multiple times and it was really cool! - The 3 staff working on board the ship were extremely helpful in answering questions, providing drinks, and instructing people from a safety perspective - Safety - I felt very well taken care of the whole time. It's a barefoot cruise but people can choose to keep their shoes on if they want. They provided bags for people feeling nauseous and gave good advice when people were feeling seasick. - Food provided - it's not fine dining or anything (chicken teriyaki, salad, etc) but it does beat having to pack your own food or go hungry around dinner time. Also unlimited alcohol or nonalcoholic drinks. - The staff helped us take photos and there's a lot of great photo opportunities at the coast - Champagne toast at sunset, which was beautiful to watch out on the water - bathrooms available on board - My husband didn't feel like eating on board due to the motion sickness so they were kind enough to pack a to-go box for us! - Parking was easy and the meet up location was easy to find - we stood outside for most of the ride since it felt better than sitting inside, so we did get a bunch of sea-spray and got super wet from the 10 ft swells, but it felt really fun! Cons: - I think they need to put a huge disclaimer with statistics or something to show people how common it is for people to get seasick and vomit. I think maybe 5 people from our whole boat got really sick and either fell or vomited during the trip (can feel a little weird enjoying the beautiful view while someone smells like vomit next to you lol). They do tell you at the beginning that you can walk away and get a full refund after hearing the captain briefing during the meet up starting spot, but I don't think they really emphasize just how many people get sick. I personally felt fine but I felt really bad for people who had to gut through the five hour round trip feeling terrible. bring Dramamine!! This was definitely a highlight of my first time in Kauai, I wouldn't necessarily do it more than once due to the price, but it was a fantastic experience for the views!

We passed by a Captain Andy's catamaran during the tour, and ours honestly looked better. Ours even had a second deck, while theirs didn't, which gave everyone more space to spread out and take pictures without feeling crowded. The four crew members were all helpful and friendly. The food was also surprisingly delicious and honestly, it was even better than the food we had at the luau we went to! Overall, it was an awesome experience, and we'd definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kauai.

Here's a practical classification: * Wind: 20 knots (23 mph) * Fresh breeze (Beaufort Force 5) * Whitecaps are common. * Reefing the sails is often recommended. * Experienced sailors generally enjoy these conditions. * Beginners may find them intimidating. * Seas: 5 feet * Moderate waves with regular swells. * Boats will pitch and roll noticeably. * Spray over the bow is common. * Can become uncomfortable, especially for smaller boats. Overall rating * For a 20- to 30-foot sailboat: Challenging. Suitable only for experienced sailors. * For a 35- to 45-foot cruising sailboat: Moderate to moderately rough. Manageable with proper sail handling. * For beginners or passengers: Rough and potentially uncomfortable. If you're asking about a sailing excursion in Kauaʻi I'd classify 20 knots and 5-foot seas as: * Marginal to poor for a leisurely sightseeing sail. * Acceptable for experienced crews on larger, well-equipped catamarans. * Not ideal if your goal is a smooth, relaxing cruise or if you have balance issues or are prone to seasickness. Given what I know about your mobility and balance, I would recommend waiting for conditions closer to: * Wind: 10-15 knots or less * Seas: 2-4 feet Those conditions are generally much more comfortable and enjoyable for most passengers. This a money making joke. I tried to get a refund because I walk with a cain. There response tuff luck I should not have booked.

They take you into caves and aren't afraid to squeeze in. What we didn't expect, getting MAJA island stories and information while the captain/DJ plays some great music and choreographed movie scores to go with the vibes. Hands down one of the coolest things I've ever done. Captain Dom was the perfect mix of chill, knowledgeable, and safety-conscious--dude knew exactly how to handle the boat, even when we got up close and personal with some pretty intense waves near the cliffs and caves. And Chaz? Absolute legend. Kept the vibes light with some solid (and delightfully cheesy) jokes, plus he snapped a ton of pics so we could actually enjoy the moment without worrying about our phones. But the real highlights? Getting insanely close to the cliffs and feeling the sheer power of the ocean, then just floating out in the middle of nowhere, taking it all in. Oh, and did I mention we saw THREE whale breaches and a bunch of dolphins? Unreal. If you're on the fence, take this as your sign to book it. Zero regrets, just pure adventure.

DRAMAMINE, y'all…read more You're choosing to do the Na'Pali coast from the North Shore, which means smaller boats, and choppier waves. I took one Dramamine, the night before. Then another, an hour before our departure. AND THE BOAT RIDE WAS GREAT. I was all smiles and adventure and breathing -in the ocean air and wind! Unlike, a few folks, who were NOT doing so well. (One or two barfed over the side, but thankfully I didn't notice. Know how your body handles boats and waves. Don't do tours like this, without proper prep. It will NOT be fun if you underestimate it.) Check-In staff was super friendly, and personal. They remembered me from my original email. Sweet. Parking was easy. Shuttles team was super friendly. The strangers we rode with, all turned out to be cool. 2 boats go out (mini-catamarans, with cover from the sun). They expertly traverse the waves, and cliffs, and the caves, giving you some amazing first-hand visuals and photos. But yeah, that boat will be a rockin', during those up-close cave moments. Spoiler: You probably won't see whales, unless you're there before May. But we DID see a cute pod of Dolphins, who cozy'd up to our boat for a while. Our boat had Casey and Spencer. They were wise beyond their years, in all things Kauai. Funny and friendly. Spencer navigated the heck out of those waves, while Casey handled the nauseous passengers with MOTHERLY CARE. Spencer was 50/50 on allowing us to snorkel, based on conditions and a previous scare, a few weeks prior. But he ultimately made the call to GET IN THE WATER. He wisely kept us on a leash (not literally), whistling at swimmers when they got too close to a reef (with waves that could wash you onto the reef). It was fun and chill. Saw a HUGE, MASSIVE KING DADDY SEA TURTLE. He did not enjoy us as much as we enjoyed him and he bounced. Followed by a JR. Turtle, who stuck around a bit longer. Tons of fish. Spencer & Casey gave us good food and hike recommendations, and everyone treated us like friends / family. Highly recommend this team if you're going out. And you already know I highly recommend some Dramamine.

The tour itself was both breathtakingly beautiful and informative, with lots of great history and a thorough knowledge of the coast's features. We were able to get in close to the cliffs and even go into a couple of sea caves. On the way back -- a very bouncy and splashy affair in the best way for those of us who were adventurous enough to sit in the bow -- we stopped at Tunnels Beach to snorkel the outer reef, which was full of tropical fish and turtles. The tour included lunch and refreshments as well. Overall a great way to spend an afternoon -- definitely a 5-star experience. A word to the wise-- the northwest corner of Kaua'i is often rainy and can get a bit cold when the wind is up, so not a bad idea to bring something extra to throw on after you finish the snorkel and are heading back to port.
