We just used KHIS for a home inspection on the North shore. I am still reeling from the 64 (!) page report we received from Mike. So much information! I could not have asked for a more professional and thorough assessment of the property, its strengths and flaws. From my research there are about five or so main home inspection companies on Kauai. I chose KHIS because they provided a sample report on the website so I could see their product before I engaged their services. In the hot real estate market on Kauai, scheduling is very difficult, but they were able to schedule an inspection within two days. My proposal/contract was sent to me within minutes of scheduling. Their report was sent out the same day they did the inspection (inspector stayed up until 9:30pm HST to get it done!). The report was as good if not better than the sample they provide. I got way more photos of the property than what I saw through the listing and could therefore judge for myself. Excellent report. KHIS met and exceeded my expectations! read more

Mike Lagana was excellent to work with from start to finish! He was easy to contact, listened to our concerns, scheduled us in a reasonable time frame and explained his services thoroughly. Then on inspection day he found a major issue - called us to tell us there was a roof leak that he wanted to show us so then he took the time to video it (it happened to be raining so we could watch the leak in progress) and send it to my husband and then was willing to FaceTime me so I could see it in action too and he could talk me through it!
