I have had a great experience at Kauffman Chiropractic so far. I came to Dr. Kauffman with pain in my neck and upper back. His approach from the very beginning was to create a baseline, develop a treatment plan, and monitor for improvement. I have been to other chiropractors and the thing I struggle with the most is the treatment plan. Treatment plans sometimes seem over the top. This time, however, I decided to just follow the plan that we agreed to. At first, the progress was slow and not dramatic, however, midway through the plan, my progress shot up dramatically which surprised me. I also expected to get to a certain point and then be resigned to the fact that I would have to come back on a set schedule to maintain my improvement. I am happy to report that my current status has maintained for over a month now. I'm very happy with my results and for Dr. Kauffman's expertise. I have been going to Kauffman Chiropractic for about 4 years. I have multiple sclerosis and approached Dr. Kauffman about utilizing electrical stimulation to strengthen my muscles. Although he had not utilized e-stim for this, his experience with other forms of e-stim allowed him to utilized a form of e-stim that met my need. I was on the verge of using a wheelchair when I first started going, but after several months of e-stim muscle strengthening my waling and overall strength improved greatly. Dr. Kauffman is excellent! Over the last 3 years, I've been tested (EMG/MRI) and tried everything (PT/chiropractor/acupuncture/2 lumbar epidurals) with no lasting relief for my chronic back pain/leg numbness until I saw Dr. Kauffman. Before him, I couldn't sleep or exercise (including walking) without excruciating pain. After 3 months of his treatment plan (decompression and spinal adjustments), I was able to walk 4+ miles a day, workout at the gym, and sleep soundly. Don't need to go too often, but now and then when my back flares up I call and they always try to work me in. Dr Kauffman is sensitive to the fact that I have always had a fear that chiropractic adjustments might hurt my lower back more.
