I had a truly wonderful hour long massage by Sherri, who has the hands of an angel. The oil blends that were used were rather soothing, and so necessary for my tense muscles; I felt at ease the whole time. The prices here are very reasonable to where I would be able to get a massage more than once a year! They do nails, facials, massages, waxing, other fancy body work I don't know about... I went here when I was having a bad time with confidence and my skin, from stress and I was anxious and nervous. But the environment was super welcoming and the prices are super fair and I love the package deals you can buy for block sessions, i think my aesthetician was KC (I could be wrong), but I loved her! She started off with what would benefit my skin and without attempting to sell more to make more money, she was so honest, and did extractions and they were deep and she made them painless! My skin looked great after every facial and light massage she gave me, she even recommended others in the buisness for the services she wasn't familiar with herself or licensed to do, and if I remember correctly she referred me to her boss who I believe is the owner and they all talked to me for what they could see and do for my skin and right off the bat they were right they could tell the type of acne I had, which is hormonal mostly I also see a dermatologist and she suggested I stay seeing this buisness since there is a significant improvement! I've debated if I should give this place 4 stars or 5. The massage itself that I got was great!! It was my first time trying this place and the massage was very relaxing. There were a few things though that was a bit disappointing. Having been to spas quite a few times over the past 20 or so years I found it a bit surprising that upon arriving, being a new client and having a massage being done that there was no paper work to fill out. Usually at spas that I've been to in the past if you've never been there, there's a few questions to fill out about if you have health issues or medications that you may be on so they can find out more about you. The massage room itself was relaxing. Once I laid on the table and was ready for the massage it was quite some time before the massage person arrived. I did not have a watch on but I'd say it was at least 10 to 15 minutes that I was laying there on the massage table. I was actually about to get dressed again and go ask how much longer it would be. During the massage itself it sounded like there was someone maybe getting their nails done down the hallway because I could hear murmuring of voices in the distance which I did appreciate the spa music cause it helped kinda soften the talking from down the hall but still hearing the murmuring was a bit non relaxing. I'd say for the price and what you get for your service it's worth it. read more

I just left this spa and I'm not too happy with my service. When I called this morning to book an appointment I told the girl at the front desk that I had a Groupon and that I wanted the hot stone massage. She was very nice and said that she had availability at 2. About twenty minutes later I got a call asking if I was getting a facial, feeling confused since I just got off the phone with them I told her no it was a massage. I received a massage with Molly and I left feeling very unfulfilled. When I came in she asked if I like pressure I said yes since I work in a salon and have lots of knots in my back and shoulders. When she started I was hoping she'd ask if I wanted more pressure and she did, but it honestly didn't get any better. The whole time felt kind of like a "pet". During my massage I kept hoping she'd apply more pressure. Even though I like a lot of pressure I feel like for someone who doesn't she still wasn't very hard with her massage. I absolutely loved this place! It is owned by a super nice lady who has a great sense of humor and is easy to talk to! Jessica handled my massage and it was literally the best I've ever had - better than those $300 resort spas! Hands down. The room was calming, smelled delicious, and so clean. She was attentive to my needs, informed me of different things going on in my muscles, and how I can alleviate certain problems. I just returned from a great hot stone massage with Lauren. The massage room was lovely, clean, and relaxing; the bed was cozy; and Lauren did a great job. I usually go for deep tissue, but she used a great Swedish technique that made me feel so loose and relaxed. I bought a Groupon for a massage at Tranquility as an impulse, during one of Groupon's spa sales. One of my better impulses - finally got a chance to get my massage scheduled today and it was excellent. Great facility, great staff and a great massage. I will definitely be going back, and based on today's experience I would highly recommend Tranquility - if you need a little relaxation time, give them a call. I decided I wanted to try a "Hot Stone Massage" having never had one, and Regina did a great job - especially when I rapidly figured out that a Hot Stone Massage was not for me. She switched to a Swedish massage at my request, and managed to work in some hot stone to enhance the experience. I left loose, relaxed and eager to return. :) read more

Overall my experience at tranquility spa was just "okay." The staff was very pleasant and accommodating for the logistics such as making the initial appointment and calling to request if I could come in earlier due to a cancellation. When it came to the massage and Facial combo that I had a Groupon for, the massage was just okay. I've had countless massages in my day and it didn't compare to those. Most of the time I hoped that she'd give more pressure, even after saying I like deeper pressure because of competitive weightlifting and my body always having knots. I felt as if she just kept doing the same technique over and over again for each body part, never switching it up. The facial component was very relaxing and I did love this. Next time I'll just stick to the facial. When I finished and was paying the woman who did my massage and facial gave me her card. I noticed that it didn't say massage therapist or licensed massage therapist; it only said esthetician and nail technician. So I guess I'm confused... is she a massage therapist? Would explain a lot if she weren't since I felt as if her technique and overall attention to different muscle groups was lacking. read more

Tranquility spa was good/bad. Pros: massage itself is good, easy to schedule & very affordable. Cons: therapists aren't very professional (one talked literally the entire massage, 2 of my massages the therapist left in the middle of the massage for 10 mins to take care of the front desk, one asked to end the massage early bc she was tired) & the massages are always cut 10mins short. Wouldn't go back but got a couple decent massages out of it. One note: if you buy a Groupon and change the service (e.g. prenatal massage, etc.), the Groupon value of $70 is no longer honored; only the paid value of the Groupon. This was my 6th massage and definitely my favorite. The staff who answered the phone was very friendly and efficient. The environment of the massage room was quiet and relaxing. My therapist, made sure to respect privacy during the entire massage. She used the perfect amount of pressure, and was expert with the execution of the massage. Yesterday I used a groupon to have a 75min massage and facial combo. This is my second visit to Tranquility Spa, the first experience with Shari was amazing. This experience was awful. My massage therapist, if you could call her that used one hand to massage my back and legs, I finally asked her why she was using just one hand and why the pressure was not sufficient. Her response was that is the way she massages. I have never had a massage with one hand. It was not relaxing it was annoying. I even asked her if she was using her other hand to text on her phone or something when she then revealed that she had to sit down to do the massage as well. How disappointing was this experience-VERY!!! Then we move on to the facial...I have never had a facial where the esthetician did not ask prior to administering a facial about what my skin type was, what my skin concerns were so that they could use the proper products for the facial. The facial was absolutely ridiculous, at points during the facial the supposed esthetician didnt even have enough of a moisturizer on her hands it was her bare hands rubbing in odd formations on my bare skin. The overall experience was not relaxing, was unprofessional at best, no client massuese questions prior to starting the service to understand my body, but I guess that is not needed when you are sitting down to preform your massage on a client and only use ONE hand to massage. Like I mentioned my previous service here was great with Shari, it would be nice if Tranquility Spa focused on delivering a standard of service versus walking into this appointment with a one handed sitting down massuese. It would have been nice of them to call me to ask if I wanted to reschedule my appointment due to the massuese sitting down. The reason I focus on the sitting down part is this, the chair clanged around the massage table the entire time and the pressure needed to give a good massage comes from a person standing over the client to massage the persons body-key words standing and using two hands. When she did my feet it was like I had handed a bottle of lotion to my six year old and asked them to put lotion on my feet, she would rub with one hand and then completely stop for periods of time. To say the least I appreciate Groupon-however I do not recommend this place as their service is inconsistent at best. read more

All I can say is WOW, this was one of the best experiences I've ever had and I have enjoyed many different facials over the years. The atmosphere was truly tranquil and relaxing with soft music and a wam, heated facial bed. Regina took great care in cleansing and applying products. Included with this service was an arm and foot massage which practically put me to sleep. Perfect pressure from Regina. After the service she extended the groupon price for future facials, too. My sister and I were given a groupon by my husband for a wedding gift to us. I have never had a message before but my sister has several times. It was a little hard to find and we had to turn around a few times because the sign isn't very obvious. But once we found it we went inside and the walls were painted bright blue and the words "Tranquility Spa" were painted in white glitter. I liked that. There was someone at the main desk to greet us. She led us back to the double room we would be in and told us to undress to whatever made us feel comfortable. I kept my sports bra and sports shorts on. We got under the blankets and found that the high mattress we were lying on was heated. The room was dimply lit and calming music was playing. Two women came in Regina and Renette. They were as chatty as we wanted to be and my sister and I can be very chatty so it was nice that they didn't tell us to be quiet but moved right along with our conversations. Renette was very personable and professional. I told her don't touch my feet because I'm very ticklish. She never went near my feet. I felt very relaxed by the end of the session. They wrap hot towels around your legs and arms at the end and it felt so wonderful. I highly recommend this place! If you want someone who will go with your lead and make your body feel relaxed afterwards I recommend Renette! My sister gave rave reviews on Regina as well! I'm not sure if I'll be back because it's pretty far out of the way for me, but I know my sister will be! Check this place out! read more

I received a massage today at tranquility. I received a coupon off of Groupon. I have had many massages and this by far was the worse! The lady left me hurting. As I sit here and write this review I hurt. She kept going over the same spots in repetitive motions like she didn't know how to give a massage. Then as someone else stated in a review, I looked at her card and she's not a certified massage therapist. I didn't know a reputable company could allow this. Went in for a massage. The massage was good, parking was easy, super clean facility and friendly staff. However, the massage room was right next to the lobby/entrance. Throughout the entire massage you can hear the door beep every time someone comes or goes, conversations happening, drawers closing, laughing, etc. Super hard to relax during a massage with all of the noise right outside. read more

April and Velvet are awesome! I had a friend in town from D.C. and we went to tranquillity for a hot stone massage. At first, they were all booked up and I wasn't sure if we were going to get in. The receptionist indicated she would put me on the cancelation list and call if someone couldn't make their appointment. Within a couple hours they called us back and said a slot opened up for us both at the same time. Perfect! Once we arrived, April and Velvet took care of us. I have had a few facials in the past, but April gives the most amazing facials ever! They also incorporate massage into the facials, which I had never had one that did that. I met my mom the other day who was in town visiting and had not told her that I had just gotten a facial 30 minutes before I met her, and she kept saying " you look so good!"......I confessed that I had just had a facial, with chemical peel, derma planing and micro current, and she said I looked 10 years younger! The massages are great too. I have had more massages in the past, even medical massages due to health issues, but she is great! If you like a deeper massage, she is the best! Even though it is not a "deep tissue", she does Swedish and hot stone. It is probably the best massage I have ever had. She is awesome on the hands, feet, face, ears, just a great massage! I think her prices are very reasonable and will be asking for my boyfriend to get me a gift certificate for my birthday! I have arthritis and nerve damage in my hips from a hip replacement surgery. Renette gave me the best massage on my hips that I've ever had. First...The massage it self was great..however the customer service was not! I think (hope) Jessica was just having a bad day. She recited everything from memory to tell me to get ready for my massage. There was no personal conversation and I was just another customer. Then..all through my massage I could hear someone talking in what was their front lobby. It went on through my whole one hour massage. Jessica told me if I had any feedback or concerns to speak to the manager (April) at the front desk. April was sitting at the desk, and I mentioned that I could hear her talking. She denied it and then said she was in the room next to me giving a massage ( I hope not). Then she told me that she always gets told that she talks to loud and went on about that..never apologizing or admitting that she was talking while I got my massage (it sounded like she was on the phone because I only heard one voice) . As I paid, she never got out of her chair and she then popped a Lindt chocolate in her mouth as she continued to tell me the special they were having. I have a groupon for a facial there as well...and I will not be using it! read more
