This station has its moments of plus and minus.. I recently read a complaint of skimmer goi d on one of the pumps and so I downloaded the app to pay for my gas and It needs to be shared because I've saved more at the pump because of it! The mini market inside has plenty of drink and snack options and more.. a huge selection of touristy merch, including sweaters beach toys and ice buckets for those non-locals. I like this location because it convenient to me but also is usually cheaper at the pump than those closer to the freeway.. note not always though. I had an issue here in the past with pumps not shutting off and got gas on me and my car!! All that was offered was a free car wash, no dry cleaning service and I was dressed going somewhere nice. That sucked had to go home and was late for my event! They have since changed the pumps so hopefully it doesn't repeat! Many times pumps are "blinking" not working. I have shopped and ordered DoorDash from this company many times, and never had any issues. Their employees have always been jovial, good natured, easily accommodating when I've shopped in their store, and I considered myself to be a good customer. I've always had a positive and friendly experience here. My experience however, after ordering DoorDash delivery from them last time has left a bad stain. They packaged my items and sent it missing half of my order. Not wishing to fault the illiterate driver and his three illiterate, non English speaking passengers, who only said "I can do nothing," orders placed through DoorDash are read and bagged up by employees of the store. Dashers just pick up the bag. Sadly, no one bothered to read my order. I was never offered a refund, or offered the item that *I paid them for,* after a manager had insured me I could pick it up. The manager said on the phone, "we've got a new employee, you can come pick the other items up." Yet, this other employee who would not budge has just now left me on hold. Good job, you lost the customer. I hope your manager sees this. I showed you my receipt and you sit there uselessly. "Oh yeah, I've had problems with DoorDash too" just hits different coming from the person whose job it is to bag the order and refused to fix the problem. Your car wash is like a slot machine... Every time you go you take a chance on whether it is going to work well or not. Of course you don't know until after you've already paid or should I say overpaid. Probably half the time it works well, the other half you should be charging less than $1.00. Also, I'm not sure if the employees know what they're doing because the lines take forever just to get 1 person checked out. This station continues to be inconsistent in their mask policy. Some staff wear inefficient shields while others refuse to cover their noses. Worst of all, they allow customers to enter and do business without masks. This is entirely the fault of management for not having effective COVID-19 policy. False advertising issue because the price at the pump was .02 cents higher then the sign out front, which advertised a cash price of $3.75(9/10) but after paying cash, pump price was set at $3.77(9/10). I notified the workers inside but they argued they were right. From the largest Chevron in the world just southwest of Vegas to an old full service hole in the ground somewhere on the border between California and Oregon. And oh LA, you rude, rude place, how I love-hate all your stoic, employees, just a few hair-trigger moments away from a psychotic episode. --After all, our drummer received death threats from attendants in a Thousand Oaks station one afternoon, poor bastard only had to go to the restroom in a hurry but was instead made to witness the last fuse gasp of one such madman. In the burbs it's a different tune but no less reasonable-- always young kids mimicking a Kevin Smith movie they've scarcely heard of as it was conceived around the same time they were. I too mirrored that movie not long after its release as a clerk a horrible gas station in western PA at one earlier point of my life. Let's play a game of 'never have I ever _______ in a gas station until here' (and I know what your thinking, yes I have and no not here). 1) Have been genuinely greeted when entering. 2) Had an attendant leave the counter to ask me if I was finding what I needed and if I needed any help while I was deciding what to get to eat. 3) Found the place to be cleaner in and more organized than most high end grocery stores. 4) Found the attendants to be so obsessive compulsive to the level that if they did have down time, they were sweeping, cleaning or attending to customer needs. 5) Seen a cleaner more organized restroom --with a dual flush toilet no less. 6) Seen an attendant actually care about their job more. Sometimes I go here for no reason at all and buy something just so I can be reminded that some places still give a damn well after the fallen days of wheel activated bells and hatted uniforms. In a nanosecond driven culture, we're elated when our fast food cook managed to remember 'no mayonnaise' on two consecutive occasions at the drive-thru, I suppose the same goes for a gas station that made me feel like a valued customer a few times as to prove the formality was no accident. I hope someone reads this. I hope someone notices. I hope someone takes note that in a world where everyone is after the cheapest fractions of gas prices and damn the fool who takes my change, a little respect fills the soul faster than any fraction of a cent can ever match. I just left this gas station a moment ago extremely dissatisfied and with that horrible feeling where I know I'm being ripped off and there's nothing I can do about it. They have a huge brightly illuminated sign with their gas prices listed, like almost every other gas station. When I dipped my card and selected the regular grade of gasoline I was charged ten cents more than the sign advertised. I got my receipt and went indoors and spoke with an associate named Jason, and before I could finish asking my question he cut me off and informed me that there is another sign (much smaller, not illuminated, and actually blocked by the larger sign) and on that sign it has the correct prices listed. He offered no help, and assured that it was perfectly legal to advertise that way. Clearly, I'm not the first person to question their practices, but I wish someone would have warned me before I dipped my card. Being charged 10 cents more per gallon is annoying, but the worst part is that they are aware of the confusion this is causing and have no problem ripping people off. read more

Gets 1 star because it is clean, it does have nice employees, and that is the least number of stars I can give. Here's why: Last week I took an older car in to get washed, and after spraying the car with soap, the wash abruptly ended. I drove around to the front, they gave me another wash code, and then it worked. When I later looked at the car, it didn't really get everything clean. So today, I have a brand new car with a thin layer of dust on it. I consider going through this wash again thinking it should be fine since it doesn't need much to get clean. I enter the wash and it sprays my car with soap, then tells me to back up. I back up, it tells me to drive forward. Stop. Sprays with soap again. "Back up." On and on like this. I drive around to the front thinking, "come on, this happened TWICE?!" 2 for 2, yes. I get another wash code and drive around, only it's not working for anyone, yet they haven't shut it down. They re-set it, but then tell me the sensors are shot, but we try again with the employees watching. It just sprays a little water and soap and stops. So they give me a refund, but I am now left with a brand new car with soap sprayed all over it. To the business: If the car wash doesn't work, SHUT IT DOWN and don't let people go through it anymore!!! And if you spray someone's car with soap, either wash it off or pay someone else to wash it off, but don't leave your customers worse off than when they went in. A refund just isn't enough, because now we are forced to get the car cleaned or risk damaged paint. read more

Went in this evening to pay for gas and although the man taking my money was quite courteous, as another employee walked in for their shift and was told their co-worker would be late, the other woman cashier stated "I don't f'ing know why she's going to be late? I didn't f'ing know she was even working?!'.....and on and on with the explicatives. I always find this location odd when it comes to customer service. When I'm in my work clothes (dress shirt, tie, slacks, dress shoes) I always seem to encounter a cashier who is less than willing to help me out. If I come in here with shorts, flip flops, and a tank top, the same cashier will be nice with me. I guess they have a "No shoes, no shirt, no professional attire, no service" policy that I'm not aware of. All that changed when I got a Chevron card so now I don't even have to go inside anymore. So remember, if your job requires you to dress business like, don't get gas here unless you're willing to pay with plastic. read more

After an awesome day of 4 wheeling on Pismo Beach, a thorough wash down of your vehicle is a must, unless you want it to turn into a rust bucket. I was very pleasantly surprised to find this Chevron gas station with the car wash, including the undercarriage wash, for less than $10. It's a small robotic carwash, so it won't be as good as the hand wash places. So, you might consider doing it twice. In the past, we've used the stinky self-service place down the street, but we typically spend about $10 there too. Also, they have free pressurized air at each fill station, a nice bonus. read more

Suzanne is the best! I just moved to the area and go into Chevron often. Tonight I was blown away by the service I was given by Suzanne! I asked if they make popcorn every weekend (junk food cravings tonight). She said no that they usually do that during the week. Now, you got what basically amounts to a convenient store, pumps that are easily accessible, and best of all, the only touchless car wash in town! The carwash is horrible and on the weekends it's a mad house with all the people from the valley and the toy haulers they block Grand Ave with. That being said I go to this station Monday thru Friday to get my coffee before work and I almost always fill up here when I need gas.
