Was happy that they were cheaper than the other not able gas nearby. Close to a Rite-Aid and offer a cash discount.

Which in late 2022 My engine lost all oil on a drive from SLO to San Diego. I had to get a engine rebuilt. From th a t experience I really wanted to take care of my Van. So, when I came back from SD in 2023 I went to Millers. Theyre honest, thorough and will keep costs at bay as much as they can. Ive been so pleased I am writing this recommendation. Its hard to find Car Shops that are honest, quick and thorough with keeping costs down. Please take your car there, you'll be glad you did.

Before a cross-country road trip, I took my diesel truck in for an oil change and paid extra for a general inspection. Since it was a diesel, I specifically asked them to check the fuel filter as well. When they called to let me know the truck was ready, I was told everything looked great. A few days later, while driving about 70 mph near Kingman, Arizona, the engine suddenly died. I had the truck towed to the Chevrolet dealership, where they diagnosed a severely clogged fuel filter as the cause of the breakdown. While inspecting the vehicle, they also showed me the air filter, which was so old it had started to disintegrate. It was packed with leaves and debris and clearly had not been inspected recently. Thankfully, there doesn't appear to be any lasting damage to the truck. However, the breakdown cost me half a day of travel, an unexpected overnight stay in Kingman, a towing bill, and nearly $500 at the Chevrolet dealership to replace the filters and get me back on the road. I understand that one employee's oversight doesn't necessarily reflect an entire business. However, after specifically requesting these items be checked and then experiencing a breakdown caused by something that should have been caught, I've lost confidence in the service. If you use this shop, I would recommend double-checking any maintenance items that are supposed to have been inspected.

Yeah it's just a gas station but whatever. It's got a big selection of snacks and energy drinks are…read morereasonably priced (2 Rockstars for $3) and the staff are generally friendly. They also have T-shirts and sweatshirts for sale. The bathroom is clean but has the fake mirrors that are really more like polished metal. At any rate, it's right off the freeway so you don't have to drive super far off the 101 to fill up your tank. It's next to a Jack in the Box which has tables outside so you can chill for a bit if you want. I stop here when I do the drive from SF down to socal, and miss the Shell station off Spyglass Road in Pismo (which has a cleaner restroom with real mirrors). Their car wash sucks though ... I got my Civic washed and the air flow setting on the drying phase must have been set too high because it literally blew one of my windshield wipers off of my car.

In addition, Chevron sent me a statement showing a $42 credit. In order to get reimbursed I had to phone your user-UNFRIENDLY robo-voice. It is beyond frustrating to try to speak to a human -- and this is not the way to treat senior citizens who have been loyal customers throughout their adult lives. Sorry, but I simply had to vent! I will await my refund.

My wife and I were staying just up the road at The Cliffs Hotel from this gas station. I immediately knew one of my rear tires were flat with and so we limped our way to the gas station. After realizing the tire was done, we were on the phone with AAA and several local tire stores in the area. The first tire store we called did not have the size I needed but the proprietor upon hearing we needed to be at a wedding in 3 hours called a COMPETITOR to locate and arrange an appointment. All seemed well, until AAA showed up and denied towing my car because it was too low. They also refused to let me use any tools or offer any other solution. I was not happy about that. With two hours remaining I asked the young woman if I could borrow any tools and she let me in back to see what I could find. Amazingly, I found a 17mm socket which was what I needed and asked her if she had a jack. She took me to her car and let me rummage through it to see if I could find one which I could not. In the meantime she was calling friends to see if they could bring me a jack, Long story short, my wife and I made it to the wedding in the nick of time. This young woman and so many other people we met in our short stay really bent over backwards for us, and we wanted to say thank you! Coming from the Bay Area it was really such a pleasant surprise to find people living in a different and more neighborly way, and this young woman exemplified that. The best experience brought out by hard times.
