Drove all the way from Burbank just to check out Carrara's Pastry Shop in Agoura Hills--and wow,…read morethey absolutely did not disappoint. It's a small, charming café with a cozy atmosphere, featuring old-school car collectibles displayed on a shelf that add a unique touch. They also offer outdoor seating where you can enjoy your desserts surrounded by lush greenery, natural foliage, and a peaceful little waterfall pond. The service was great as well, they were friendly and welcoming and answered all my questions. suggested I definitely I ended up picking up a chocolate and hazelnut cake with an incredibly soft, spongy interior that was perfectly balanced and rich without being overwhelming. I also grabbed a single serving of the blueberry cheesecake, which was light, airy, and still decadently satisfying--definitely worth every spoonful. The rum babas were a standout: bite-sized, soaked in Jamaican rum, filled with Chantilly cream, and topped with a raspberry. So flavorful and unique--each bite was indulgent without being too heavy. And then there was the Velina cake... oh my goodness. A beautiful sponge layered with chocolate mousse and hazelnut mousse, all covered in a glossy dark chocolate glaze. It was so rich and decadent that I had to slow myself down just to fully enjoy every bite. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully made, and worth the drive. I'd absolutely come back again.

We were greeted right away, and we let one of the people working there know we wanted to take a look around as it was our first time stopping in, which was okay. The shop itself was empty. We took a look at the ice cream selection, the full cakes, and then the pastries. Everything looked really good. We decided on a chocolate trilogia pastry and a red velvet pastry to go. The transaction went well. When we got home, we ate the goodies. The trilogia was fresh and had great flavor. The red velvet, unfortunately, did not meet expectations. The cake part was dry, and the frosting was dense and had little flavor. Maybe I just ended up getting an older one, but at $8.25, I had expected a much better item. The service was great, but as a red velvet lover, the flavor was not as expected. I would potentially try again but would sample some other treats.

Overall? Why travel for European flavors when you can just come here and save yourself the jet lag?…read moreThis place was fantastic. It's tucked away in an unassuming corner with a relaxed outdoor seating area next to a fountain that somehow makes the whole experience feel even better. The flavor lineup balanced classics with more creative combinations, and honestly, everything looked like a home run. Service was good and the gelato itself absolutely delivered Parking? Lot I had: Blackberry Mascarpone (5/5): This was killer. The blackberry brought a deep, jammy sweetness while the mascarpone added this rich, fatty creaminess that rounded everything out beautifully. It tasted layered and balanced instead of just sweet for the sake of being sweet. The kind of flavor that makes you immediately start debating whether getting another scoop is irresponsible or completely justified The Elvis (5/5): Elvis knew what he was doing. Banana, chocolate, and peanut butter sounds like it could go off the rails fast, but this combo absolutely worked. The banana actually tasted real instead of artificial candy flavoring, which immediately elevated the whole thing. Rich, nostalgic, slightly over the top in the best possible way. A genuinely great gelato flavor

After…read moreenjoying our meal and chat at the Italian restaurant, we weren't ready to part yet, and wanted something light for dessert. Tifa! This was the closest location, and a perfect spot to hang out for a while longer. After scoring our small gelatos, we headed out to sit in the sunshine adjacent to the fountain out front. It was just warm enough to be pleasant, and the wind mostly behaved by not chasing napkins away on the breeze. Since I had to give up dairy a few years ago, it's such a pleasure to be able to count on Tifa for having three to four flavors each day without it. The little tea wafers they add to the gelato are delightful for their delicate flavor and flaky texture. Whoever does the hiring for their shops seems to do a great job of finding friendly employees who display warmth in their welcoming greetings. I understand that the real estate prices at this center must be expensive, but it's a shame that the indoor space here is very tight. A number of the other Tifa locations have more elbow room, and encourage lingering by offering games and puzzles to keep the young and young-at-heart amused while enjoying their gelato and chocolate treats. That's the only reason for four stars instead of five here.

You are immediately tempted by all the beautifully displayed options at the counter from pies to quiche to cookies and sweet bread loaves this place has it all not only can you get freshly made cookies which come right out of the oven and in so many different flavors you also can order food and either hot or cold coffee and tea drinks. I ordered a few things, including the café salad, an iced Matcha latte with coconut milk (this option is hardly ever available so it is really special to be able to order this), and a chocolate chip walnut cookie. Everything was made to order served to me at my table and done so with so much kindness just like I was at home and with family. The café itself has many tables and during the day it is a great place to work with fast Wi-Fi and comfy seats, especially if you get the booth in the corner everything is clean and also parking is really easy in front of the café as this is located in a small strip mall. I would absolutely come back here again. This place is such a hidden gem in the area you must visit!

The gentleman at the front desk was exceptional--friendly, patient, and very helpful. He welcomed us with a smile, assisted us with everything we needed, and truly left a great impression. He deserves full credit for the excellent service. We came for breakfast after a workout and were very hungry. I ordered the Avocado Omelette, and my husband ordered sunny-side-up eggs. The food was fine, but nothing special--just a simple breakfast. We were disappointed that the dishes were served without a salad or any side, so we had to order a salad separately. In addition, they forgot to add the avocado I had requested with my omelette. I ordered bread only after our food arrived, but it took quite a while to be served, and by the time it arrived, I had almost finished my omelette. Overall, we enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere and the kind service, but when it came to the food and attention to detail, we felt there is definitely room for improvement

It's just a lil hidden in the corner. I'm glad bc it's def gonna become one of my go-to's now. Ive been here twice and it def gets busy around lunch time, not many seats were available when we went here around 12pm. But I'm glad business seems to be doing well bc it's a cute place. Cozy little spot with great food and bingsu! They absolutely nail the fluffy snow-like texture of Korean shaved ice. Portions are pretty big so I'd say stick to either getting food or shaved ice bc I have a pretty big appetite but couldn't finish either! And it's a lil hard to store bingsu in the freezer since it's prone to becoming completely frozen if you leave it in there too long. It won't have the fluffy melt in your mouth texture anymore. So eat as soon as your can even if you take it to-go (they pack them in drink cups with lids if you order to-go). I've had the matcha, Oreo, mango, and original flavors. They're all good but I'd rank original last bc I was expecting a lore more injeolmi powder like ive seen in pics + the flavors were too subtle for me (I did order with oat milk however so that can be where I went wrong). I'd say Oreo was my fave of all that ive tried. Only the ones with a white base are available with dairy-free options btw, so matcha and Oreo can't be made dairy-free. They appear to have seasonal flavors as well. The panini was very good. My partner called it prob the best smelling sandwich he's had LOL. I'm excited to try their drinks and other sandwiches next time!
