All the reviews were true, there was a line, and it was worth the wait! There is no inside seating but they do have tables and chairs with umbrellas outside. Upon entering I was awed by the shelves filled with goodies. The shop is small but efficient where you walk down one aisle and then turn to walk up the other aisle effectively going past every option so when you get to the front to pay you know what you want. A kind gentleman assisted me and told me about the ham and cheese with egg croissant which I gladly agreed sounded good and he got that going for me. I also ordered a few treats including bread pudding, apricot Swiss tart, and a jalapeño cheese bread. I also picked up some other prepackaged items that looked good. When my sandwich was ready I headed out and decided to gobble down the sandwich before driving back to my city. My sandwich was so delicious, fresh, hot, flaky, and savory! It was amazing with every bite. The cheese was perfectly melty with cheese pulls and all! I am rarely in the Calabassas area but you can bet I'll be back next time to try some of their quiches and other treats!

The space itself is chic and impossibly cute, a mini cafe that feels like a hidden boutique find, quaint in all the right ways. The croissants are the genuine article: buttery, flaky layers with that perfect golden exterior that only comes from someone who truly knows what they're doing. Every pastry here is crafted with care and it shows in every bite. And the mocha coffee? That alone is worth the trip. Rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced, it pairs beautifully with anything in the pastry case. The staff are warm and genuinely welcoming, making the whole experience feel personal rather than transactional. One thing to keep in mind: this is not a drive-through. It's a small owner-operated cafe where everything is made with intention. Come with time to spare, settle in, and let the experience unfold. Good things take time, and here that philosophy is baked right into everything they do. Yes, prices lean a bit higher than your average coffee shop, but this is quality you can taste. You're paying for authentic French technique that honors the tradition. La Princière is a Thousand Oaks treasure worth every unhurried minute.

It's too bad that this review is only listed under bakeries because there's so much more here. The bakery items are wonderful. My personal favorites are the little individual tiramisu and their chocolate covered coconut balls, which I've never seen any place else. They're huge! All the routine pastries are available and freshly made, as well as as a couple Persian delicacies. Try the cream puffs! But what I also love about this place is their breakfasts. Some of the local breakfast places get too crowded with long rating lines but here you can be seated in a covered shaded area outside or Next door at the restaurant that they're attached to. Some of my favorites are their omelettes and scrambles, and although I can probably make those myself at home, they somehow make them taste better than any place else. I particularly like the vegetable omelette. Of course they have a tasty avocado toast that seems to be a local favorite. The eggs Benedict are perfectly prepared and the.Challah French toast is definitely worth breaking a diet over and what is an excellent breakfast without a great cup of coffee? You can get that here including American coffee, cappuccino, espresso, and even Turkish coffee. I love this place! And if you miss breakfast/brunch time, Maral Cuisine is great for their shish kebabs, salads, and traditional Persian cuisine.

They have done a really good job with the patio and I could see that getting really busy, it wasn't the day we were there as it was a colder day. I ordered the avocado toast that came with a couple of poached eggs and the side I got was a cup of barley soup, my wife ordered the french toast with a side of bacon . The quality of the food was excellent in both cases, tasted good although I felt my food was on the colder side for sure when we finally got it and it was very plain; food took a while considering they weren't that busy. The service was good but not excellent, our waiter came back to check on us once when I thought maybe I caught his eye . I think there's definitely some room for improvement but it won't hold me from coming back... I will definitely give it another try; footnote- a lot of their ingredients are organic and of what I understand they bake all of their bread and pastry items in house. definitely worth a try. Oh, my caffe latte was superb!

The service was great as well, they were friendly and welcoming and answered all my questions. suggested I definitely I ended up picking up a chocolate and hazelnut cake with an incredibly soft, spongy interior that was perfectly balanced and rich without being overwhelming. I also grabbed a single serving of the blueberry cheesecake, which was light, airy, and still decadently satisfying--definitely worth every spoonful. The rum babas were a standout: bite-sized, soaked in Jamaican rum, filled with Chantilly cream, and topped with a raspberry. So flavorful and unique--each bite was indulgent without being too heavy. And then there was the Velina cake... oh my goodness. A beautiful sponge layered with chocolate mousse and hazelnut mousse, all covered in a glossy dark chocolate glaze. It was so rich and decadent that I had to slow myself down just to fully enjoy every bite. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully made, and worth the drive. I'd absolutely come back again.

We were greeted right away, and we let one of the people working there know we wanted to take a look around as it was our first time stopping in, which was okay. The shop itself was empty. We took a look at the ice cream selection, the full cakes, and then the pastries. Everything looked really good. We decided on a chocolate trilogia pastry and a red velvet pastry to go. The transaction went well. When we got home, we ate the goodies. The trilogia was fresh and had great flavor. The red velvet, unfortunately, did not meet expectations. The cake part was dry, and the frosting was dense and had little flavor. Maybe I just ended up getting an older one, but at $8.25, I had expected a much better item. The service was great, but as a red velvet lover, the flavor was not as expected. I would potentially try again but would sample some other treats.
