I was greeted by Chris and he immediately helped me was very courteous listened to my concerns (other than the oil change) and was absolutely helpful. My car was taken care of in no time, they did my AC by adding Freon and also gave me an estimate (very fair and reasonable)on other work which needs to be done. I will definitely go back and the customer service was wonderful, the place is very clean and even had refreshments to offer and . The lady in the back I can't remember her name, but she also was very friendly; it seems to be a family owned place, which I like. Every time I would get something fixing another problem would arise a fee days later and I would bring it back in and it ended up costing me about $22,000 in total over about 2 months The last problem i had was supposedly a transmission line broke and the transmission needed to be rebuilt that cost about $6,500 I was without my van for well into 3 weeks because they said they were waiting for a part to come in for my transmission rebuild.. I finally got my van back and immediately started having problems with the way it was going into gear and shifting.. So I brought it to a dealership to get it looked at because I was tired of dealing with this mechanic shop and the amount of money I have spent there trying to get my van to work properly..it should practically be a new van .. the ac was the first job done and still having problems with that after them charging me $3,000.. Anyway back to the transmission rebuild.. Once I brought it to the dealership ,the dealership found that Empire auto care installed a junkyard Transmission in my van that had altered vin numbers and they charged me for a rebuild.. They knowingly installed a junkyard Transmission with altered vin numbers ( ground off ) with green spray paint.. Its a federal offense to tamper with any vin numbers on any Vehicle Motor Transmission I have filled a police report and filed a report with the attorney General office .. I have also hired an attorney as this place needs to be held accountable for what they have done .. This is fair warning to anyone reading this not to use this place as they come across nice but will cut corners and deceive you for profits .. They only offered to install a new transmission after getting caught so they could cover up the fact they defrauded me out of thousands of dollars... What they did to me is criminal and will be dealt with accordingly.. I would never use this place or refer them to anyone.. I don't care what it cost me they will be dealt with for doing what they did.. I called to get more information about the options and prices. I spoke to Jimmy and from what I understand, he is the owner. He explained the different options and price points. I agreed to come in Monday morning. Upon arriving to the shop I met with a young man at the desk. I explained that I spoke to Jimmy a few days before and came in to get my car windows tinted. The young man quoted me with different prices than was already given. For example with Jimmy the starting rate was $190, with this young man the starting rate was $240 an almost 30% mark up. I do not like dishonesty and I definitely don't respect any business taking advantage of people. I explained to the young man that I was quoted a different price and if he did not plan on honoring it then I needed to speak to the owner. Three calls were made to the owner and there was no answer. At this point I was ready to walk. The young man had an about face and stated he would complete the job at the price the owner quoted me at. I found this very disingenuous. I must admit he did a good job despite the initial attempting to haggle me in the beginning. When I checked in there was a $30 off Yelp discount but he reported he has never seen it before and could not process it. I wish more business respected 'word of mouth' referrals as it's the best way to get people in your door. A word of advice being honest and consistent is always the best business practice. I will be hesitant to refer here.
