Bad business they don't honor there coupons Bait and switch give 1 price and charge you double

This place will scam you.. I have spent $22,000 in the last few months fixing problem after problem with my van .. Every time I would get something fixing another problem would arise a fee days later and I would bring it back in and it ended up costing me about $22,000 in total over about 2 months The last problem i had was supposedly a transmission line broke and the transmission needed to be rebuilt that cost about $6,500 I was without my van for well into 3 weeks because they said they were waiting for a part to come in for my transmission rebuild.. I finally got my van back and immediately started having problems with the way it was going into gear and shifting.. So I brought it to a dealership to get it looked at because I was tired of dealing with this mechanic shop and the amount of money I have spent there trying to get my van to work properly..it should practically be a new van .. the ac was the first job done and still having problems with that after them charging me $3,000.. Anyway back to the transmission rebuild.. Once I brought it to the dealership ,the dealership found that Empire auto care installed a junkyard Transmission in my van that had altered vin numbers and they charged me for a rebuild.. They knowingly installed a junkyard Transmission with altered vin numbers ( ground off ) with green spray paint.. Its a federal offense to tamper with any vin numbers on any Vehicle Motor Transmission I have filled a police report and filed a report with the attorney General office .. I have also hired an attorney as this place needs to be held accountable for what they have done .. This is fair warning to anyone reading this not to use this place as they come across nice but will cut corners and deceive you for profits .. They only offered to install a new transmission after getting caught so they could cover up the fact they defrauded me out of thousands of dollars... What they did to me is criminal and will be dealt with accordingly.. I would never use this place or refer them to anyone.. I don't care what it cost me they will be dealt with for doing what they did.. Needed oil change and tire rotation for my Mazda3. They are within walking distance to my job and have an early bird key drop off. A big plus. I did not like the customer service and they need to improve on this issue. Also, for an alternator change I believe they charged and astronomic amount of almost $600 and in top this I had to wait for about 4 hours for my car to be ready. They basically said they were short of mechanic the day of the service. read more

So last night my bf was picking me up in Pompano & as he went to switch from reverse to drive the car shut off. We tried jump starting it then called "Affordable Towing" who then towed us to Empire Auto. Very clean & hospitable didn't mind spending 3 hours in the waiting room chargers drinks snacks etc. Turned out to be the starter and needed an oil filter which was $350 plus $200 for them to install so $550 was pretty expensive but hey they fixed my car in pretty quick time so it was worth it! Starter has 24 month warranty! If your in a crisis def recommend. read more

Had an issue with my SUV leaking antifreeze. Was referred to Empire for service. Made it in on a Friday afternoon and was advised it was going to be a difficult job to replace the water pump. Special parts needed and was told wouldn't be ready until today around 1 p.m. It took until 4 p.m. so not to far off. Not a cheap fix but Joe and Schuyler helped make it an easier experience. They do quality work, but shop around for better prices. The quoted me $265.00 each for two tires that they told me were on sale, and $50.00 to install them. I ended up going to Tires Plus and got them for $185.00 and installed for $20.00. To be clear: The tires I bought for $185.00 each were the same exact brand and model that Empire wanted to sell for $265.00 "on sale." read more

It's nice to find an auto repair shop that is honest. These guys have always done a great job on my car. The waiting area is very clean and the staff are friendly. Customer service seems to be their focus. I've been here for everything from a simple oil change to alignments. They don't try to sell you extra services you don't need. read more

I'll keep this review short & sweet. This shop is a GEM! Pros: Exceptionally Clean lobby Experienced master mechanic Free drinks and snacks Personable staff Honest! Cons: It takes time to fix a car, no way around that. Overall, Empire goes well beyond my expectation for an auto repair shop. Cleanliness and an overall comfortable atmosphere remove much of the stress when it comes time to pay the bill. One would easily mistake this shop for the actual dealership. They charge 40$ to test your battery. Then their batteries are wayyy over priced. Autozone or advanced auto parts will test it for free and are way better priced. Stay away. read more

Today was my second visit to Empire auto care, both for oil changes. They were able to take my truck in immediately, waiting area was very clean and they completed the job in about 20 minutes. Before I checked out, they reviewed what else needed to be done down the road and provided me with an estimate which I felt was very reasonable. My story begins Thursday evening on the drive home. I get a "need coolant" message and by the time I got home forgot to tell my husband. Next morning hop on the turnpike to begin my commute and when I get to Maitland and Commercial my car says "engine overheating". I begin to panic and text my husband to rescue me. After work my husband drives up only to discover there's a leak somewhere. We were told to go to Empire because they would be able to help. Arrived at about 330 and they diagnosed my baby. I had a leak in the water pump. I had to leave my car until Monday and was sent to the Hertz about 3 blocks down for a rental. Picked up my baby and he is as good as new. The shop did a great job and did not try to sell me additional services. The waiting area is clean and they have complimentary coffee, soda and water. Bonus: the women's restroom was very clean. That's usually not the case when going to auto repair shops. Overall I think we found a new shop to service my baby and it is close to my job which is a plus. read more

This is absolutely the worst place to take your car. I needed a battery and the guy said I would have to pay $52 for him to check the car over to see if it was the battery then he called me 15 mins later to say the issue is the battery and a battery would be $344. I took my car to Walmart and got it for $122 installed. He still charged me $52 +4 dollars in parts when he didn't even install any parts on my car. Do not take your car here they are price gouging!!! read more

After doing extensive research on my own, his tire recommendation and price was better than the Lexus dealership, so I trusted him and his staff to come through. The new tires are amazing! I changed my oil yesterday in Miami, an oil light popped up today asking me to stop immediately, i went to this place concerned that i was going to be a big problem and expensive. The guys checked the car and after 45 min they told me that not only the car was fine, that they found the oil is new, they also found that the issue was only the computer that was not reset properly, they did reset the computer and THEY DID NOT CHARGE ME ANYTHING!! I came in because I had a check engine light issue. It cost $121 for the diagnosis but it would have cost over $800 to fix the issue with my vehicle. The main problem is that I wasn't in position to pay that amount due to covid 19 but I could have paid for a tune up or oil change or even new windshield wipers. However, despite that being an exorbitant amount for a check engine light issue, I was then told that any service I received would be on top of the $121. A tune up or oil change or even getting new windshield wipers, couldn't have been included in my $121 cost. I was greatly disappointed in the lack of customer service & zero lack of concern/ compassion in trying to help the customer in these trying times. I won't be visiting this location ever again, there are numerous other places that actually believe in customer service. read more

I recently went to a prior mechanic, which not only did a very poor repair job, but also consequently left my daughter's car with additional repairs, due to extremely poor workmanship. The irony of all this was that it was a well-known national auto repair franchise. After much frustration, I did my due diligence to try and find a competent and honest mechanic. I unfortunately do not live locally to bring her car myself, so I had to count on my gut feeling. Fortunately, José (Empire's service representative) was just the mechanic I was hoping to find. The repairs I knew would be costly, but shortly after I received a quote from José he called back and told me that one of the parts did not need to be replaced after all, reducing the total by $400. He could have easily replaced the part without me knowing otherwise. But instead they were honest about the repairs. Now, really how often do you come that? Which is why I will continue having my daughter take her car their for any future repairs. I'm purposely going out of my way to write this review, because I wanted to let others know that both José and Joe of Empire are the sincere auto repair representatives everyone deserves to have when such repairs arise. SHARKS!!!, They spend more time trying to sales pitch you more repairs and parts than what I actually took the car there for. Went there with a coupon I received in the mail for a full synthetic oil and filter change for "$39.95". Since I asked them to rotate the tires, they added a $10 charge. ¿¿¿REALLY??? Most places I've been to, like Tire Plus, will do it as a courtesy with no extra charge. Next, since I also asked them to check the car's battery and any possible charging problems, and dealer type maintenance fluids and brake check; the initial total price quote rose to $100. Then, according to them the car's battery is bad and the new one they have available for replacement has no charge and I had to wait 2 full hours because for them to bring another one from their warehouse. Between this wait, they are trying to sell me 4 new tires; because according to them, my Michelin tires that have a guaranteed minimum mileage of 30K miles and only have 13K miles of use, need to be replace because a code the tires have on the side indicates they are past their expiration date. Additionally, they recommend I allow them to run an alignment on my car. At the end of what I initially went there for, and should have been less than $100, was starting to reach at least $1,000. At the end of this frustrating waste of my time and money, I refused all these extra services they were hitting me with and trying to charge me 10 times more than what I went there for; and they still charged me almost $200 for a new battery and replacing cables. The math still does not add up; the laws of physics are bent in their favor here. Finally, with what logically should be $250, or $300 at the most if I, would tip them, rose to almost $400 after they added another $100 of oil waste recycling and other hidden fees. What a waste of time...called days ahead and received quote for fuel induction service and of course provided them with make/model. I highly suggest you think twice before doing business with them as I waited 20 mins for their uneducated (as they were well aware of the make of my car) staff to try to increase the price by $200 bc they weren't aware and competent enough to deal with my vehicle. So in the event you want to consider wasting a Sat afternoon give them a call so they can then advise you of almost 3 times the quote & tell you to come back. What a joke of an operation. read more
