    Getting my dance on!!!
    Nina R.

A lot of fun, very high energy, the check-in with the app was sort of not working, huge space, welcoming environment. Music is very, very loud, but they provide free ear plugs. Highly recommend to grab a pair. There was not much of a warm up, just quick movements and jumping into jumping jack's, no stretching in a gradual warm-up, nobody on stage doing a lower impact warm-up (-1 star). Choreo for the majority of the class was easy to follow, repetitive so if you don't catch it the first go round, you have time to catch it and enjoy the song and move. They encourage you to have fun. Cool down was really good, more stretching there and a gradual bringing the heart rate down. Go at your own pace!!!! Bring water, if not they have vending machines that sell water and gatorade. Have fun and move. Similar to zumba. A fitness dance party. If you're shy, you'll definitely come out of your shell. All ages and body types are up on that stage, moving and strutting their stuff. I really loved that part. I would like to do this once per month to switch up the fitness routine! I had a great time.

I'm feeling the burn! I've been wanting to visit for the longest time and am so glad to finally get a chance to try Kazaxe out. Thanks to M for suggesting we come here. Since it was my first time, admission was free. Drop in's after that are $6 per class. If you get one of their package deals, it gets cheaper. Once my navigation said I had arrived at the location, I was looking for a sign that said Kazaxe. Not sure if they have a sign, but I thought I may have arrived at the wrong location. Then I saw a bunch of people in workout clothing leaving a boxing gym. That's where it's located in! So don't look for a sign that says Kazaxe, look for a boxing gym sign instead. Parking can get a bit tight, but we were able to find a spot. Parking is also free. There are 2 restrooms in here. When entering, don't expect anything fancy. There is no AC in here, just large fans. You will get an amazing instructor and a bunch of other awesome people on stage encouraging you to work out hard. Leaving the class drenched in sweat felt great. There is also a little kid section towards the front of the building, which is a nice touch. Bring water, a small towel, wear good sneakers, and get ready to sweat!

So the best workout for you are the ones you can stick to. Yes, there are lots of other types of classes and workouts that could possibly be better in one way or another, but if you can't stick to it, then what's the point? Personally, Its been about 4 years for me coming to this location. Some seasons I go 2-3 classes a week, and when training/conditioning for a race, I've gone as much as 7-9. Reasons I have been able to consistently keep coming back to this class. - the price is right. Your first class is free so no risk to try it out! After that, a class is only $6. No membership fees! There are also packages you can purchase making the classes less than $4 or you can pay monthly. - the moves are repetitive making the dances relatively easy to learn. All instructors also use the same choreo, with few alterations which allows you to focus more on doing the moves correctly (squats, lunges, abs) I've personally tried some more choreo focused classes and have learned that I worry so much about the next moves that I don't get the workout/sweat I get here at kaza - judgement free zone! Want to dance in the back so noone can see you? Need to take breaks or step outside for a breather? Want to pretend you're in a music video and shake your butt on stage? Go ahead! I recently had a baby and I was able modify the moves as I needed during pregnancy and when I returned 3 weeks after I gave birth, instructors and attendees were super supportive in helping me get back to it! - most of the instructors are friendly and super encouraging and keep you motivated. They even will take the time to break down the moves so you get the best workout you can get! Few things to watch out for: - parking can be a biatch. - this is a warehouse. No showers and no ac. - drink lots of water - bring a towel. You will get sweaty! - no mirrors (which can be a good thing!) So just try to be aware of the people around you. - wear comfy shoes. Sneakers with some ankle support and low tread are best cause you're dancing on carpet. - the friendly faces! Yes, you will have see some people who notice the new faces and yes we are smiling at you! Definitely worth a try and hopefully you'll love it as much as I do!

Need a fun workout without breaking the bank or signing membership contracts? Try Kazaxe! Kazaxe (pronounced kaz-ah-shay) is a super fun dance work out class! Think zumba, but way more intense. There's a lot of booty popping! You feel like you're warming up for a night out clubbing. I love their music selection too. Azuka is a great instructor and dancer, as are all the other instructors. I've been out of the dance-exercise life for a while so that first class in, it was really tiring, but I loved it! Kazaxe welcomes all skill levels. Everybody here is so welcoming and motivating. If you're not afraid, you're allowed to dance on stage. Kids are allowed to work out too as long as they do not get in the way. The classes are not expensive either. It's about $6 per class, but if you buy a set, it's cheaper. A 6-pack class ends up being $4 per class. If the music is too loud, they have free ear plugs. *Remember to stay hydrated! Bring water. If you forget, they sell water ($.50) and other kind of drinks. *There are two bathrooms. No changing in them. There is a separate changing room. *It can be a little difficult to find. It's in the industrial part of town and there is no sign for Kazaxe. Look for a sign for a boxing gym. Parking can be difficult to find too. *Don't be embarrassed! Have fun and get your twerk on!

First timers are free!!! There is limited parking outside the venue, so come a bit early to grab a spot. Came to the 5:30 class and there were alot of people, but their were enough space to move around and dance. My legs are aching!! So i know i got a good workout in. The instructors have so much energy to dance for an hour, by the first song i was already breathing for air. Instructors encourage you to come dance on stage, but you are not required. I would highly reccommend this place to anyone that needs to step up their workout, cause this was intense.. but enjoyable!

Ms.Gina didn't see that I saw her telling her to get back in line. When my daughter got out of the class, she was extremely upset and still crying. That's when Ms.Gina said "she tripped that's why she's crying" We don't care that she told my daughter to get back in line but lying about it is very worrisome. We were still giving her the benefit of the doubt even though that incident wasn't sitting right with us. Later that night we watched the video of the class recording and what we saw made us angry and horrified! It was clear Ms.Gina was frustrated with my daughter. In one clip she tells my daughter "can you STOP" very aggressively and in another clip she grabs my daughter by her hair. I emailed the executive director and owner of the studio, Kendra with the screen recordings of those two incidents and not only did she defend and make excuses for her personal friend Gina, she also said she continues to be as proud as ever to have Gina as a member of their staff and Perfect Pointe family. I'm sharing this so others are aware.

My mini started with the summer program in 2025 which was great, so my daughter wanted to try additional programs in the 2026SY. Fall 2025 we signed up for the home school program and musical theatre class. The homeschool program allowed bullying by other students, my child's concerns were not being addressed until I started communicating with staff that I would file suit if my child was assaulted again. There seem to be many moments where children were left unattended which is how the bullying was able to happen in the first place. The children who did the bullying were allowed to continue in the home school program despite negatively impacting multiple students within the program and in my opinion the parents of the bullies were coddled instead of being reprimanded or terminated from the program. The musical theatre class I feel like I threw $1095 down the drain. Class was posted to start at 4:45pm on Fridays and end at 5:45pm however; an full hour of class only happened twice during enrollment, there was always a substitute teacher, and students were released at 5:20, 5:25 and 5:30pm regularly. On top of not having 1 hour classes which was posted, the finale performance was confusing so I missed the performance while literally standing in line to see my daughter perform. We've had nothing but a good experience with CCDS. Over the years, my daughter has tried 3 other…read moredance schools in the area. Each of them have their strengths & weaknesses, but FOR MY DAUGHTER, CCDS has offered the best balance of classes & quality of instruction for my daughter's interests. These are MY impressions. If you're just casually interested in having your daughter or son take a few classes, that is probably fine for a couple of the early years at CCDS. Your child can be involved as much or little as you want. However, after a couple of years, they do seem to want you to be more serious about it. They will ask that you enroll your child in more varied classes including technique classes. You can only learn so much by learning steps for a recital. At some point you need to learn technique outside of the framework of a routine. For instance, they offer "Leaps & Turns" and "Cecchetti" (google it) classes. My daughter, age 11, was asked to be on the competition company this past year. It was a tough decision to let her do it. For us, it is a huge commitment, both time-wise & financially, with 3 nights of classes each week (2 of those nights with 2 or 3 classes) & one class on Saturday. That's basically a minimum schedule for being on the company, but my daughter loves it and NEVER complains about going to class. To the contrary, she runs in the door because she can't wait to get into the studio. We do it because we want her to experience the opportunity to do something at a high level. She has no plans to become a professional dancer, but she loves the art & the process. But, unless you child is on the competition company, your commitment is not likely to be that "strenuous". I'm not sure what the comment is about Mr. CC yelling or being rude to anyone. I've never seen anything of the sort. In fact, I've seen the opposite... nothing but concern & happy faces. At a parents' meeting, he once said something to the extent of "If you've ever seen Dance Moms, that is NOT what we are. We are the opposite." and I've found that to be true. Yes, they insist on regular attendance, typical for ANY team activity. It is just basic respect for the members of your dance "team". If one person is missing, it spoils the choreography & requires others to adapt to that empty spot which slows down the learning. If you can't commit to your child being at most classes or rehearsals, then you MIGHT want to choose a different school with lower standards. I think CCDS strikes a good balance between having high standards & being aware that people have lives outside of dance. But, you will be required to show up for classes in the correct outfits, or correct make-up & costume for recitals. Also, you have responsibilities as a parent to be aware of the requirements for participating in recitals & dress rehearsals. There are deadlines (including payments) for ordering costumes. There are picture days and your child will be required to wear the right makeup, have their hair done a certain way, to have the right tights & shoes, etc. This is typical of all dance schools that we have experienced. Also, there are schedules for recitals, rehearsals & such. The information is there, you just need to open your eyes & read it. The teachers are not going to pound you with information. Newsletters, websites & Facebook will keep you informed. You, as a parent, have to be involved more than merely dropping your kid at the door & picking them up when class is over. That doesn't mean you need to be a helicopter parent (or "overbearing" per Halie J's review), but the studio is not a babysitting service either. Either you want your child to be involved in dance AND you are willing to do what you need to do to support them, or you aren't. If you don't want to put in any more effort than signing a check & dropping your kid, then you possibly don't want to enroll at CCDS. But it's not a massive effort, it's just "being involved", the same as any school sport or activity. CCDS is not an insane gung-ho studio (ala Abbie Lee), but they do have standards to adhere to - for everybody's benefit. At the same time, there is a lot of fun happening there too. All of the parents I have met are really nice. The teachers are very nice and the girls (& boys) all seem to love them. They seem to honestly love the kids. I have seen real tears from teachers when their oldest students "graduate" to move on to college & life. It's like family there. THAT's the real gauge of the studio for me. When I see hugs & smiles between the kids & the instructors AND my girl is excited about going AND her skills are growing, I know we've got a good situation. The best thing I can probably say is that CCDS has been in business for 35 years with hundreds of students attending & returning every year. You don't achieve that without being good and fair. There are too many other dance schools around. From OUR experience, CCDS is right there in the top layer.
